Six Word Story #221

Six Word Story:

The universe wants you to succeed.

Six Word Story

About This Six Word Story:

This six word story was inspired by Kevin’s No Theme Thursday prompt for the week. You can check out his prompts for the week here. He has really great image prompts available weekly (except weeks when he’s busy which is totally understandable) which will definitely inspire you to write.

I have been pretty tied up with other things this month, a lot of which has just been wallowing in self-pity lol. But anyway, I’ve not been posting as much and maybe some of you noticed my absence. And dare I say even missed me a tiny bit?

Well, I want to post more often and I don’t want to make excuses to myself for not posting. So despite having a pretty full day today I decided to post anyway. Thankfully, Kevin’s prompts always come through when I don’t have anything else to write.

This week’s SWS is dedicated to a friend of mine that I made in uni in Canada. She’s moving to Halifax after many years in Ontario and she’s nervous about it. I was chatting with her today and although I totally get why she’s nervous, I think the universe wants the best for her. If anyone has any tips for her about Halifax, leave them in the comments and I’ll let her know!

Feel free to share your SWS in the comments using this image as your prompt!

I recently published my first book and would be very honoured if you took a minute to check it out here.

  1. “But, you have to earn it”

    1. Ooh yes, absolutely.

  2. The image selection is epic… love it

    1. Isn’t it such an awesome image? I always love the images Kevin comes up with.

  3. Yes, despite those other forces that try to pull us down, “the universe wants us to succeed” so keep fighting 😊.

    1. Yes, exactly 😊

  4. Well that’s bloody nice of the universe! 👍🏻

    1. Isn’t it? Haha 😅

  5. I liked the SWS story… very optimistic! 😉 But seriously, it’s an important mantra to remember; I believe it counters the self-destructive notions we can have.

I have been sporadic in my visits to Reader, though have noticed less posts by you… nice that you’re back.

    1. Thank you! Absolutely, so many times we only focus on the negative and forget that even being alive and having a fighting chance is a win.

I totally understand, I know you’ve been busy with life and the grandkids and other stuff. Yeah, I’ve really not posted much this month but want to get back into posting regularly.

  6. I love this story, and Kevin’s image. Wow!

As for Halifax, if your friend happens to be Buddhist I believe the Shambala community in Halifax (think: Pema Chodron) is one of the most active!

    1. I know, he always has the best images!

Ooh very interesting, I don’t think she’s Buddhist or particularly religious but I’ll let her know in case she wants to get involved in the community. There’s such a gorgeous Buddhist temple in Ontario and a pretty active Buddhist community too. I remember my visit to the temple and this feeling of calm wash over me as soon as I walked in. The monks are so kind as well, they talked to us quite a bit about Buddhism.

  7. A beautiful pairing and love the message! 🌌

    1. Thank you so much! ✨

      1. You’re welcome and thank you! 😊

  8. 🙏🌹👍

    Aum Shanti

  9. Positivity in life is very important. Very well done.

    1. So true, I think positivity is what keeps us going even in hard times.

      1. It does. I know because I experienced it many times in my life.

  11. I am glad you explained the reason behind you SWS, it is inspiring and very nice.

I spent some time in Halifax a long time ago, and I found it to be a very interesting city with very friendly people.
Chosen, the portal to paradise awaits.

I love the 6 word story.

    1. Thanks so much.

  18. That’s a beautiful picture. I can see why it struck a creative spark with you.

I think all of us bloggers want to be missed if we’re not around as much. I know I do and so I sympathize totally with you on that front. The problem is, blogging is still a from of social media and it contains all the pitfalls of social media. Relationships tend to be shallow and surface level. Even when we TRY to make them deeper, each of us can only do so much and then the rest is up to the other people we interact with. I would LOVE to be “real friends” with the 50 people I follow and the others who regularly follow me. And I try as best I can. Like leaving a comment like this. Letting you know you’re not alone in feeling the way you do. So I hope knowing you are not alone is an encouragement to you 🙂

    1. Thank you. And that’s really nice of you to say and I very much agree with you. I mean, I definitely miss some bloggers when they leave or not post as much but yeah relationships online tend to be a bit different than in real life. 😀

  19. Great SWS as always, Pooja! And I totally get you on the being busy thing. Life is a wild ride atm here too 😄
    Hang in there! 💪

    1. Yeah, life becomes a lot sometimes and it’s okay to take breaks. I have read a couple of your posts so I know you’ve had a lot going on too. Hope you’re doing well 😊

  20. I love your encouraging story, Pooja. Everyone needs to read this. And you’re always missed when you take some breaks from blogging. Take care and enjoy your weekend! 💖🤗💐

    1. Thank you so much and enjoy your weekend too! 💕

  21. Your six words are an important affirmation to remember, Pooja.

    1. Thank you so much.

  22. Love this!! I’ve been manifesting lately so your story came at the right time, it feels like a literal sign! 🤣✨️

    1. Thank you! Ooh this is definitely a sign then! 😱💕

  23. Cosmos favors your good efforts, Pooja!

  26. Beautiful, love message 💓

    1. Thank you so much 😊💕

  27. Sometimes feels as if the universe gives you just enough to keep going and no more!

    1. Yup, feels like that a lot these days actually!

  28. Good news about the universe.
It probably also wants me to move on.
I kind of want it myself, it’s about time

    1. Yeah, sometimes you just know when it’s time to move on.

  29. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’ve been on the self-pity train myself in some instances during June LOL!

    1. Lol glad it’s not just me and hopefully things will look up for both of us in July!

  30. I really like this SWS! I need to get back into the more regular habit of writing my own. And your SWS is an encouragement to do so!

“Don’t put it off until tomorrow.”

    1. For sure, SWS’s are so fun. I had forgotten about them for a bit too and hadn’t shared any recently but this image just brought out my creativity. And love your SWS!

      1. Thanks! They are really fun. It’s a completely different kind of writing, but I enjoy it.

        1. Yeah, a different kind of writing and also challenging in its own way.

  31. But It still laughs at mistakes 🤣😎🙃

    1. Lol sure does 😅
