Coffee & Plant Review And Experience

Coffee & Plant Review And Experience

I know some of you really enjoy my review and experience posts and I LOVE making them mostly because I get to go out more lol. So, I thought I would share this one today. It’s funny that I’m finally sharing my Coffee & Plant review because I’ve gone there before AND they had a huge ad outside my bedroom window at the time which I guess worked lol.

As I mentioned, I’ve been there before and loved the food so I was excited to go back with my cousin when he visited last month. They have both vegan and vegetarian options.

Before we get into the review, just wanted to let you guys know that my Coffee & Plant Review And Experience is available in video form on YouTube. I would so appreciate it if you guys took a look and interacted with it because I’m trying to grow my YouTube this year and share more content on there. You can view it below:

For drinks I had the coffee and forgot what my cousin had but I remember he loved it. The coffee was a mistake though. It tasted amazing but I couldn’t sleep for like two days after lol. My mistake though, I don’t have caffeine often so when I do it almost kills me.

Next, we got our food. I had the Masala Tofu Toast which is sourdough bread toast with tofu on top and a side of vegan mayo and vegan coleslaw. I can’t even begin to tell you how good it was. Generally, I hate any kind of salad with carrots but their coleslaw in particular is my favourite. If it was a main dish I would so order it. The tofu was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked and the toast was delicious too. It was tangy, slightly spicy and very savoury.

My cousin got the Tofu Sando which he loved as well.

We got these Harissa Fries to share because we had never had them before and they were so yummy. Slightly spicy and not soggy (soggy fries are my biggest op) at all even with the sauce.

Coffee & Plant Review And Experience

We also got these mushroom tacos to share, I forget what they were called but they were so yum. Probably my second favourite thing we at here. The first favourite was my toast thing.

Dessert

Of course, we had to get some dessert. If you’re ever having a meal with my cousin, just know dessert is a must lol. He got the Rose Pistachio Pastry which I had a bite of and loved. I got the Chocolate Orange Cake slice with a side of I don’t know what. It was pretty mid if I’m being honest. And we shared a donut which was like the best donut I’ve ever had. It was so soft and fluffy, sweet but not too sweet and had a mild cinnamon flavour to it.

Vibe For The Day

I forgot to take picture of myself or my surroundings there because we were too busy eating and catching up but I went for drinks after lunch with my other cousins so we took some cute pics there. I wanted to share them here and share my outfit for the day.

Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed my Coffee & Plant review and experience. It is such a fantastic place, I hope it never shuts down because it’s like two minutes away from me lol. I’m hoping to go back soon and try some more dishes. If you’re ever in Nairobi, I would so recommend checking out Coffee & Plant. It’s pretty affordable for the quality and quantity you get. They also do deliveries but I feel food is best enjoyed in person to be honest.

What did you think of my Coffee & Plant review? Would you go there if you ever had the chance? Let me know in the comments below. Or simply stop by and say hi!

        1. Yup, it was quite an experience. Thankful for the opportunities we have these days.

  14. Great pictures. The food looks very delicious. Did you try the “side of I don’t know what” that was included with the chocolate orange cake?

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, I did and regretted it. It had the slightest coconut flavour and that was about it. I still don’t know what or why it was with the cake lol.

      1. Interesting. I would have guessed it was some kind of whipped creme. I am not a fan of coconut flavor, so it would be a hard no for me.

        1. I hopped it would be whipped cream but unfortunately it was just like coconut goop.

  15. Wow, this looks amazing! I’d be visiting all the time if I could

    1. It was, we love it!

  16. Mushroom Tacos sounds really good. The pistachio thingy as well. I love pistachios. Imma have to ask my vegan chef buddy, if he could makes my crew at work some mushroom tacos.
    Great review, Pooja.
    Love the nails btw

    1. Ooh yes, mushroom tacos are amazing I’m sure you’ll love them too. I think the mushrooms in this one had some kind of different seasoning too. Maybe gochujang or something. Thank you, I was happy with how the nails turned out.

  17. Wow. Looks like a very interesting menu with delicious goodies 😋

    1. It was, I love the food there 😋

      1. Who wouldn’t 😁?

  18. Looks amazing but yeah stay away, stay away from caffine!!
“It tasted amazing but I couldn’t sleep for like two days after lol. 😂

    1. Lol for sure never having caffeine again 😅😭

  19. You sure find some good places to eat. Food looks amazing.

    1. This one is right by my place. Thanks, it was!

  20. I’m glad you showed the menu. They had a LOT more options than I was expecting. I think having a wide variety of options is absolutely necessary for a restaurant to survive.

And hurray for Johnny Cash! Ring of Fire is probably my favorite song of his.

    1. Yes, they have lots of options and so far I’ve not been disappointed. Love Johnny Cash, my favourite is probably Folsom Prison Blues but a big fan of Ring Of Fire too, it’s the first Johnny Cash song I ever heard.

  21. Your hair has truly grown, and everything looks so delicious!

    1. It was so good and yesss it’s even longer now!

  22. At first I wondered why you were reviewing coffee and plants. I mean, I’m in favor of them, too. The actual place sounds delightful, and I’m glad you had such a good time there. You take first-rate pictures of food. The mushroom tacos sound and look especially intriguing (to me). The fries, too, and the doughnut. There, that’s my meal. With coffee (and I’ll stay awake). It’s great that Coffee and Plants is so close to you so you may try other things. I hope you have a pleasant week.

    1. Haha yes, thankfully they had much more and almost everything was delicious. The tacos were probably the second best ones I’ve ever eaten. Thanks and have a lovely week too.

  23. Wow! Everything looks so delicious, and I love your nails. Yep, caffeine can keep you up at night, but I love it. Bring on the espresso!

    1. Thanks so much, haha that’s the problem I can’t resist it!

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja.

  24. Love your nails! That restaurant looks nice, too.

    1. Thank you so much!

  25. I would have loved eating the foods you chose, so yummy for sure. I also loved your relaxed look, and your fingernails – very sweet…

    1. They were so good. Thanks so much!

  26. You make me hungry!

    1. This is your sign to get something yummy!

Glad you found a good place to eat. Enjoyed the quote.

    1. Thank you so much.

  28. I love doing my nails, but haven’t learned to do fun styles like yours yet! 🙂

    1. It’s so fun and relaxing! Mine are just press-ons though. They take a little while to put on but so worth it because they can last up to a month. I’ve finally figured out the perfect technique. 🙂

  29. It sounds like you had fun and the food was good! I enjoyed your review!

    1. Yeah, it was a lovely time and everything was so good!

  30. wow Pooj! There are so many cool restaurants where you live! If I ever get to come to Kenya I’ll visit a lot of them!

    1. There really are, I’m sure you would love it here!
