So My Teeth Kind Of Suck…

So recently even though I always swore that I would never go to see a dentist I was forced to see one. I was in extreme pain and could not chew most things anymore. After my dentist got over the initial devastation of the state at which my teeth are at he decided we should get an X-ray.

The X-ray revealed that one of my molars had grown very weirdly and slanted. So only a quarter of it was above my gum. And it left too much space between the weird tooth and my other molar. Due to this the molar was rotting and I’m going to have to get it removed. This is why I don’t like to go to dentists- because something bad always follows.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that little part of my life with you and I would love to hear if you have any stories about going to the dentist.

Lastly, I would like to apologise to MistryLand. As my future dentist you will be horrified and I know you tell me all the time to take care of my teeth and I still probably never will. Also this post is probably going to piss you off so I’m sorry about that!

  1. Hey nothing pisses here…. You shared about you and if it has pissed someone you can who what kind of the person he is….. Your blog, your thoughts, your words, your feelings, your emotions all respected. Just be you…..
Hope you feel better soon and take meds in time… Be safe and take care.

    1. Hahaha don’t worry she’s my best friend so she can’t really be pissed at me even if she wants to be! I was just kidding around cos I know she reads my posts
Thanks! I hope I feel better soon too cos it’s really annoying not being able to chew anything

    1. That’s really lucky! All of mine have ended in me being in a lot of pain. Yeah I think I’ll be okay after I get my tooth removed. Apparently it’s genetic for me to have weird teeth cos my dad and sister have similar problems too 🙂

  2. I struggle to understand why anyone would want to be a dentist. Everyone hates them. The money I guess. But those pesky teeth sure do cause problems when they start. I had a swollen jaw, blood infection and the worst pain in my life this time last year.

    1. Yeah I feel like being a dentist is a socially acceptable way to torture people. A friend of mine is actually training to be a dentist because she genuinely enjoys it and wanted to do dentistry since she was a child. And I guess getting a good amount of money helps too
I hope you’re okay now! Teeth and gum problems are so painful and irritating

  3. Hello future patients, let me tell you that dentists don’t cause pain, we fix things so you all don’t have even worse pain in your future lives…also the money is good :p consider us as “Snape” of the tooth department 😀

  4. PoojaG,
Hey! I haven’t seen a dentist in a while, this post reminded me that I should. I don’t “perfect” teeth either but they don’t look horrible and I brush them, but don’t always floss, I have had gengivitis once or twice before and it sucks and when it goes away, I make promises I will never get it again and then it happens. Sadly. I had to also have my wisdom teeth removed (not because of pain) , my mom wanted the Dentist to remove them before any pain would set in, if it should – that sucked and hurt like holy hell for me. Otherwise my teeth have always been healthy, I am sure I am due for a cleaning and possibly a conversation on straightening them a bit more.. then what they are now.. ugh.

Good luck with your future appointment of having them removed.

    1. Thanks Shay-lon! I hope everything goes well tomorrow.
Fortunately I haven’t got my wisdom teeth yet and the dentist says it’s likely I never will since neither of my parents got theirs. I’m sorry to hear you’ve had trouble with your teeth before. I know first hand how painful and annoying it can be! Go see the dentist now before you regret it!!!

      1. Does this mean you won’t be blogging tomorrow since you will be having teeth surgery? lol. You could always send us pictures on wordpress xD
Ahh, okay well then you have ONE less thing to worry about – wisdom teeth wise.
I will make an appointment when I make one! lol probably next year, xD jk

        1. Yeah it was insanely painful and I genuinely wanted to cry while he was removing my tooth so no I don’t think I’ll be blogging till Monday now! Lol I was in way too much pain to remember to take pictures
Yeah I really hope my wisdom teeth don’t grow. After this experience I really may never visit the dentist again
Lol make the appointment asap because you do not want to procrastinate and go through what I did!

            1. Yeah I cried when I came home while writing some weird poetry
Yeah he showed me the tooth afterward and asked if I wanted to keep it but I declined. It was huge though!

  5. My early experience was of old rickety drills (prior to high-speed ones) that clanked and ground into your teeth without any anaesthetic! Most painful! And it got in the way of my sweet eating!

    1. Oh no that sounds horrible! Teeth problems are so horrible! I actually just got my tooth removed and I am in so much pain even with the anaesthetic I can’t even imagine what you went through without it!

  6. the last time i was in that hot seat of the dentist, i keep rolling my eyes when they say “root canal”. I simply say that, “you know my insurance is limited, so do anything you like.” the outcome… i have a gaping hole now in my mouth, and i can breathe easily. We all know what dentist can do and yes that is the saddest part of their careers.

    1. Hahaha you’re welcome and to be honest i think people hate dentists cos they associate them with pain not because they have a genuine dislike of them as a person
