That I’ve run out of things to write
That I’ll never be good enough
That no one will ever read my work
That I’ll have to give up writing
That my work will never be appreciated
That I’ll have nothing to write about
That my dreams will fall apart
That I’ll have nothing left to write
“The Writers Woes” first appeared on Lifesfinewhine. “The Writers Woes” is about what it is like to be a writer and to live in a world full of imagination. As a writer, most of us tend to mostly live in our head. And this comes with its own problems. These are some of the thoughts I have had as a writer. And they are some of the fears I have had as a writer. These are the things I fear most. If you are a writer do you find any of these relatable? Let me know in the comments below.

Fear is only in the mind. There are billions of things to write about. The world is being ransacked; it is full of people all of whom are different; it is full of motives, lies and intrigue. You have views. Who cares if anybody likes them? If you were on a desert island you’d still write. Creativity is an essential part of being human. If we cease to create we die!
Yeah absolutely agree. Creativity is necessary especially in this day and age when the only thing people seem to care about is money and getting a job.
You just described my fears.
Yeah I think most writers at some point and usually very often feel this way 🙂
Lovely way to express these sentiments
Thank you so much Rob 🙂
You are very welcome!
Thank you! 🙂
Ah fear. It will always be there, but we must learn to master it.
I have said this to myself before and in moments of doubt, i still utter some of these.
Yeah fear is always going to haunt us but we have to find the strength to overcome it and do what we are most afraid of anyway 🙂
Well said <3
Thank you!! ☺☺
I love your work Pooja. Keep writing. You are gifted.

You’re welcome and I will!
Someone’s fears. My reality.
Urghh writer’s block is the worst! 😓
This is so true. Even on my blog, I’m scared that I’ll end up without any ideas and I’ll only be doing poetry and poetry only and people will lose interest. This was beautiful I loved it. 😊
Yeah I’m always afraid of that and I guess a lot of writers are too but we just need to look around and realize there’s so much to write 🙂
Yes that’s so true 😊
I’m afraid it is too good just to like… 👍👌😊

Thank you and I really liked your blog and followed it 🙂
I can certainly identity with this piece, though I try not to think of these things. If I dwell on such thoughts for long I could get discouraged, so instead I just keep writing and putting my work out there. The best way to fight fear and insecurities is to combat them within your work 😉
Yeah you are so right! When I think too much about all these negative things it’s hard for me to write and I just get really sad. I guess all we can do is write and hope everything works out! 🙂 🙂
The very act that you are writing is good step. You have brought out your feelings well. Anand Bose from Kerala
Thank you so much that really means a lot 🙂
