If you’re keeping up with the World Cup you probably know yesterdays game was a shocking one. It was Croatia Vs England and Croatia won 2-1. That means England is out of the World Cup.
I’m not going to lie, I kind of didn’t think Croatia would win but the truth is the World Cup this year has been so unpredictable. So many teams I assumed would do well just left so early on. I was really restocked by multiple teams. And these were teams that were known for having really great football players. I thought that the finals would be France Vs England but I guess I was wrong. And I kind of feel bad for the English team because I think they tried really hard but it seemed like luck wasn’t in their favour.
I think they were both really great teams and I’m looking forward to watching the finals. What did you think of England leaving the World Cup? What do you guys think is going to happen in the finals? I was hoping for England too. Till yesterday I thought France would win, now I am sort of hoping for Croatia. I normally have a soft spot for the underdog.
Hahaha same I’m rooting for Croatia too although France does seem likely to win.
Croatia is riding an emotional high wave right now with that comeback victory against a reputable opponent. I also like underdogs that beat the odds and they have never won the World Cup before. However, I believe France is in it to win it. Should be a great game. Hope I have some time to watch it. Cheers 🙂
Yeah Croatia is doing amazing in this World Cup and it would be cool if they won for the first time but the odds do seem against them.
Yep – really sad. I thought we had them well beat in the first half but they came back strongly and in the end I think they deserved to win. We gave our all but got beaten. It could have been different if one of those other chances had gone in while we were on top. Not to be. Best of luck to Croatia!
Yeah Croatia has played really well in this World Cup and even though England tried really hard I guess it was bad luck that they lost.
