Travelling can be super fun but it can also turn into a nightmare really fast if you don’t do it right. These are somethings I’ve picked up that are sure to put a positive spin on your travels!
Reading material- Always carry something to read while travelling because it can get super boring. If you want to see the scenery or something that’s fine but if you’re flying or aren’t super interested in the scenery I would suggest definitely bringing along something to read.
Makeup- To see the full list of makeup items I travel with click here. I usually travel with at least some makeup items because travelling can really take it out of you and you might end up looking exhausted so having a couple of makeup items can help you look fresh and awake even after a long journey.
An extra pair of clothing- Just in case you get stuck somewhere remember to carry along a fresh pair of clothes and if you’re able to, a towel. It really saved me when I missed my flight!
Snacks- Let’s be honest- plan food is usually the worst. Getting good food can be difficult when you’re travelling and ironically you need good food when you’re travelling because it can be very tiring and exhausting. Make sure to carry some filling snacks so that you can stay energized during your travels.
Medicine- It’s always a good idea to keep some stomach/flu medicine with you just in case. If you’re a anxious flyer some anti-anxiety/sleep medication would also be a good idea. It’s hard and sometimes not possible to find medicine while travelling and that’s why you should always carry some with you.

Well I do four out of five – so that’s not bad. Though I do include nail clippers and a razor – and a bag for dirty clothes!

Yeah I need to start taking the bag for dirty clothes with me too!

I download movies and books and custom playlist then I don’t have to worry about using wifi at the airport or dead spots on the road. Did you know Netflix let’s you download episodes?

Yeah I heard about that I think that’s a really good idea!

Great list! All things that should be common sense but, at least for me, it is SO easy to forget the most obvious things!! Haha!

It is super easy to forget especially since you’re stressed about travelling and packing!

As much as I hate taking medicine it’s always the first thing that I pack. The one time I forgot my medicine I was dying for it and needed it because I had an unknown cause of an allergy attack 🤦🏻♀️

That’s horrible and yes medicine is so essential!

Except that extra pair of clothing is never an issue with us, and it’s about extra box just for the extra clothing and never used

I agree with most, except that I generally prefer music to reading while travelling, just a personal preference (and reading can cause motion sickness for some).

Yeah I guess it depends on the person.

I hate reading but I’ve grown to love audiobooks. Keeps your mind thinking and you don’t have to worry about motion sickness! 👍🏽

Extra clothing is a biggie…especially if taking a suitcase, putting a spare pair of clothes in your carry on bag is great for accidental spillages or lost luggage!
