The One With The Reunion

If you’re a fan of friends you know that the reunion special just aired a couple of hours ago. Or as I like to call it, The One With The Reunion… I am super excited to watch it but I’m also kind of nervous because apparently it has gotten pretty bad reviews. Apparently, it was quite unsatisfying.

But honestly these days people just need any excuse to hate so who knows. You can’t please everyone. And I’ve noticed that Friends in general has a lot of hate directed towards it. People like to judge shows from the moral context of current times. But this shows was created in the 90’s/early 2000’s. It’s important to remember what media was like back then.

I’m a huge fan of friends so I’ll be pretty pissed/disappointed if it’s not at least good. I’ll let you know my thoughts once I’m done watching it. I wanted to watch it with my sister so we decided to watch it together tonight with lots of snacks of course- I bought some Twizzlers to eat but I tried one and found it gross so maybe just chips or popcorn lol. It was my first time trying Twizzlers and I was kind of disappointed because they smelt so good and then I ate them and they were kind of super blend and not sweet enough. Maybe it’s just me lol…

Anyway, back to friends- let me know in the comments whether you’ve seen it or not and if you have please let me know what you thought about it! And if you haven’t, are you excited??

    Wow, love “Friends” and want to watch all the episodes again when I have some time. Wish the reunion is good. I even watched a TV series called “Episodes” with Matt LeBlanc playing himself. LOL. At least all of them look just as young (old) as before.

      It’s one of my favourite shows too. I ended up watching the reunion after I wrote this post and it was actually quite good. I enjoyed it.

    I’ve seen through the years that sometimes these reunions, or sometimes a spinoff, just don’t fly. I’m not a fan of the show but have seen a few episodes.

      Yeah I rarely enjoy reunions/reboots/spinoffs but I ended up watching this one yesterday and it was quite good.

    I was really excited for the episode but now I’m putting it off. The thought that it might not be up to the expectation worries me. I wish the reunion is good.

    I watched it and I feel its good, I mean no amount of content can match the emotions and anticipation we all had for show….but they have did a pretty good job there….
    I just felt it is a little bit rushed like they are running a marathon or something, but overall it is a sweet experience 😊

      Yeah I think we were all a little too hyped about it but it wasn’t bad at all. There were a few things I wish they would have added but other than that it was pretty good. Yeah it definitely felt rushed to me too.

    I wish they wouldve just made a new episode while playing the characters. I mean, I’m still going to watch it, but I pretty much already know what the actors have been upto the past few years! But where’s Rachel, Ross and the other ones?!

    I have wanted to watch FRIENDS so many times but my schedule would leave me no time to watch it. Now I have holidays from today for 2 months and I’m gonna watch it. Now nobody stops me😭😭😭😤

    Yeah, I am too super excited for the friends reunion.. and guessing from the teasers that I have seen I am hoping it would be a good watch.. btw even I didn’t like twizzlers the one time I tried 😜

    I had an ex who loved friends who ended up doing the “we were on a break” thing so I tend to roll my eyes at the show.
    I did enjoy the show (the actual sitcom when it was on) but didn’t get into it until it was over and through reruns. I haven’t watched the reunion (and probably won’t) because sometimes reunions can be awkward where it messes up your memories of the show. I was okay with the Seinfeld reunion because it was on a different show about having a reunion and the actual reunion never really happened.

        It was on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sort of the entire cast etc playing themselves working on a reunion show that never happened.

      I ended up watching the show after it had ended too and I actually really enjoyed the reunion. There were a couple of things I didn’t love but I did enjoy it overall.

      I liked the Seinfeld reunion on Curb too and the tiny one with George and Jerry a few months back.

        There are a lot of shows I liked but did watched while actually on the air; just watched during syndication. I’m actually terrible about it. “I don’t get all the fuss about that show” and then I end up watching a few episodes bored when they’re just kinda on and I’ll get it. I’m SO FAR behind on curb your enthusiasm that I’ll probably binge watch it soon. I’ll have to figure out where I left off. It’s really spotty in the newer seasons.

    I want to watch it but… It’s on HoBo, right? I don’t have that at the moment. Also, I want to re-watch the entire friends series before watching the reunion. I haven’t seen them since I was a teenager watching the show, plus all the reruns multiple times on cable. Was that 20 years ago, give or take? And I recall it leaving netflix…. So where is it all? It may take me a year to get through all of the series, I’m not much of a tv watcher. Also, I don’t care for reviews. One day I will see it.

      Yeah I believe it’s on HBO so you would need a subscription for that. It’s been like 17 years since the last episode aired. I watched the reruns as a teenager and I am currently rewatching them.
