I wanted to write you a poem But I could never find the words That described just how much I love you Until I lost you And now the words never stop flowing And each poem I write Haunts me day and night
About “I Wanted To Write You A Poem”:
Is anyone as awful at coming up with headings as I am? Because honestly it’s like pulling out a tooth finding a good title. I’m surprised I came up with this one. Although I’m not the biggest fan of the title lol.
I really wanted to share this poem today. I loved this image as soon as I saw it, there was something beautiful yet sad about it. The poem is mainly about how so often we wait for the right person, thinking that they will make our lives better and save us from all our problems. When in reality, we can do that ourselves. Not always, but often.
Don’t get me wrong, the right person should improve your life. But no one can “save” you. Especially not from your fate. At least that’s what I think.
And then when we do find that person, we end up losing them and haunted by them because of course things don’t magically change and get better just because you are in a relationship.
