I Wanted To Write You A Poem

I wanted to write you a poem
But I could never find the words
That described just how much I love you
Until I lost you
And now the words never stop flowing
And each poem I write
Haunts me day and night

Is anyone as awful at coming up with headings as I am? Because honestly it’s like pulling out a tooth finding a good title.

  1. Love the poem!
    Tells the inner feelings properly.
    .
And yes, I do find it troublesome for heading/title of the blogs.
I feel like I want to give people an apposite information within the heading itself. But, that happens rarely. I want headings, which are informative as well as arouse curiosity. 🙂
    .
I like your headings btw, always makes me curious.

    1. Thank you so much!

Yes, headings can be difficult. I’m so glad you like mine but I’m still not super satisfied with them lol.

  2. Oh, I miss old friends. LOL. I often regret that I was not more open to my friends in talking my own trouble before. I think I regret about that a lot.

  3. with a title after I’m done, I’m unsure if that’s the right way … 🤷🏽‍♂️

  4. I agree with you, finding a title is harder than writing the actual content sometimes haha. Yours works well though, and I love the poem. Very relatable feelings expressed. 💞

  5. This was so cool, I read through some of your other articles and really enjoy your poetry! As a fellow blogger, it’s also awesome to see how organized and easy-to-follow everything is. Keep up the great work!

  6. When I was a teenager my godmother passed from cancer. I never was brave enough to tell her how I felt and how much I admired her. Since then, I am excellent at telling people what they mean to me. I learned the hard way once, and now I make sure those that I love know it. I loved this poem.

    1. I’m sorry to hear about that but I’m so glad you were able to change and are now more open about how you feel. It’s so important to tell people how we feel before it’s too late.

  7. Title? The Haunt of the Unrequited Poem? I’d be interested in some of the words that “never stop flowing” because I think the poem could be a little longer with a few details; sort of like maybe this:

I wanted to write you a poem
but the lub-dub of you heart was not a word
and I didn’t know the name of the flowers you gave me
and when you pulled me from the river
I had no words beyond hugs

I wanted to write you a poem
when the birds sang to us in the park

I could never find the words to sing, to laugh, to moan
    until I lost you… [etc.]
