Love’s Trigger

I can't seem to stop thinking of you

I can't close my eyes

Without seeing your smile

Your laugh

Your sparkling eyes

And the way you looked

When I found you with her

And you saw the gun in my hand

Love sure can trigger

The worst in us...

Once more, I am unable to find a fitting title for this poem but this one will have to do for now. I sort of hate it but I hate it the least from all the other titles I’ve come up with so far so I’m just going to go with it. Please give me some title ideas in the comments and my favourite one will win a million dollars! In hugs and not actual money…

Edit: I loved ALL your title ideas but in the end Tre won with “Love’s Trigger.” πŸ€—

  1. The title scared me. I thought you were saying goodbye to us on WP. I would call it Trigger or Love Sure Can Trigger, but I always title things as short as I can so they are easy to read online. So Trigger. And the word trigger is on trend these days. Do I win a million hugs?

    1. Sorry about that, it seems I scared quite a few people with my title. I had scheduled it a while back and forgot about yesterdays post lol. Those are great title ideas so yes, you get a million hugs coming your way!

  2. “Painful affection” , “I love you, till you die” , “till the death do us apart “, “love cannot kill, but gun do” πŸ€ͺ

Your title gave me heart attack. I thought you are extremely pissed with the wp. 😨

Hey, btw, I have a title suggetion if you can work a poem on it, that would be cool. πŸ˜›
    “Magic in the rain”
    “Apocalypse”
    “Unforgivable love”
“Love is magic, but I don’t believe in fantasy “.
Sorry, I’m just in a fun mood πŸ˜…

    1. Those are all great titles. 😬

Lol sorry about that, I noticed I scared a few people in the comments with that title- didn’t realise it wasn’t the best idea after yesterdays post πŸ˜‚

Those are great too, I’ll keep them in mind for future poems 😊

  3. I think your title is fitting Pooja. Another option could be Trigger!
I get from this piece that there truly is a thin line between love and hate. It’s raw and vulnerable. Good one.

  4. Love this cause it reminds me of a song I once was obsessed with, but this is a simpler version. Also, “The Trigger” is a nice title. I think.

  5. Gees Pooja don’t do that to me! I saw “Goodbye” and your blog name on the Reader and I literally stopped chewing my breakfast, I was like “wait, WHAT?” Lol. I’m thinking “Final Thoughts” or “Our Final Moments” but I’m still pre-caffeine so you could still have plenty of good ideas from other sources.

Also definitely didn’t just reveal how dark and twisted I can be 🀣

    1. Lol sorry! I’m just realising after reading all the comments that the title wasn’t the best after yesterdays post πŸ˜‚ See, I told y’all I sucked at titles 😜

We all have a dark twisted side πŸ˜‰

    1. Yeah there are so many of those stories. Sometimes I wonder if murder is really easier than a breakup or divorce. I never understand why people take that option.

      1. You don’t do them so much that I expect to see them coming. So you managed to surprise me twice in a row. That said, twist endings are great and you do a great job with them! I always enjoy your writing.
