I always do a quote of the day post on Mondays. But this week I decided I want to switch things up a little. I’m someone who likes change when it comes to blogging. I like a routine in general but when it comes to blogging I get a little bored if I’m doing the same thing week after week. And I think it’s nice to switch things up for the readers too. So today, instead of a quote I will be sharing some Monday Facts with you guys. These are facts I found online that I thought were fascinating. Hopefully you guys feel the same way.
Monday Facts
- Human children are not born with kneecap bones. They only get kneecaps at around 3 years old.
- Cashews grow at the bottom of a fruit called cashew apple. (This one really surprised me!)
- A bear that fought with Poland in World War II was promoted to the rank of a corporal. Read more about it here.
- There’s a species of shark that can live for around 500 years. Read more about it here.
- Some turkeys can spontaneously impregnate themselves through a process called Parthenogenesis. This also possible for plants, bugs, and some fish.

I hope you enjoyed these facts! Let me know in the comments below which ones are new to you or if any surprised you.
What’s Up With Pooja?
Not much… I had a lovely Christmas with my family. We watched Falling For Christmas since my mum really likes Lindsay Lohan movies. It was pretty good. Of course, it was a bit cheesy like most romantic Christmas movies but I didn’t mind. I like those kind of movies during the holidays. They’re so sweet and wholesome. We also ate lots of good food and relaxed. Overall, it was a fun and very chill day.
What did you do for Christmas? How did you spend the day? Any plans for this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Wojtek the amy bear story is an amazing historical story, I never knew about until now.
Yeah, same here. Such a fascinating piece of history.
I’ve heard of parthenogenesis but didn’t know that some turkeys can carry it out.
Yeah I thought it was just fish.
I love that you spiced up your post and love that you did it with fun facts!!!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
I’m happy to know about your Christmas.
I hope you had a less stressful day.
And I wish you a beautiful week ahead.
This Monday fact thing is interesting, interestingly I’m reading it on a Tuesday morning 😝.

Haha thanks so much. I wasn’t really looking for something specific. I just shared what I found most inserting 😊
Interesting facts… The bear story is great. Never knew that… Glad you had a good Christmas Pooja🤍
Thanks so much, yes it’s such an interesting story 😊
Wojtek the bear was one of those stories, when reality outpaced fiction in its craziness!
Absolutely, such a crazy story!
Interesting facts!
Your Christmas was quite good, happy to know that.
Mine was happy too, I had good food and had a great time with my family😊
Thanks so much and glad you had a good one too 😊
Dear Pooja, Merry Christmas !
Well we friends got together for a lunch date in the sun! that is how we spent the day.
Merry Christmas, that sounds like a lovely day!
Interesting facts Pooja.. Cashews and parthenogenesis are new to me….
Thanks so much. Yes, those facts are not so well known.
Wow! … One never stops learning. 💗
Absolutely, there is always something new to learn out there! 😊
Now that is an awesome bear! I knew about all other facts except the bear one. I read a lot of facts, lol
Lol I was surprised by all of them and that’s so cool you know so many facts!
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Sounds like a fun Christmas. I love OG Lindsay Lohan movies too! Parent trap, Mean girls, Freaky Friday – love love love!
I watched Klaus!!!!! It is such a cute movie.
Yes, love those! Such classic movies. Ooh Klaus sounds good. I haven’t seen it though.
I am glad you had a nice Christmas.
Thanks so much.
Love your posts! I knew the one about the cashews, but was less familiar with the others. Here’s one for you – Did you know that English is only the official language of the United States by one vote? Yep. It was almost German!
Wow, that’s so interesting I had no idea about that!
I discovered how cashew nuts grow when I was in Brazil a few years ago and was sooo surprised! The cashew apple looks really funny too ahah! I also love cheesy Christmas movies, they’re perfect for this time of the year! I’m glad you could enjoy this time with your family!
Ooh that’s interesting! Thanks so much!
Pooja, I’m so happy that you had a nice Christmas. I spent the day with my family as well. And we got to enjoy the new baby of the family too. She was born in October so she has already had her first of three of the major holidays. The weather here has been a bit chilly as well but it’s nice for a change. As for your post, I found the bear story interesting. It still amazes me how smart animals are that they can learn the things that we humans teach them. Have a Happy New Year Pooja.
Thanks so much. That’s amazing. She was born on a good month haha. Lots to celebrate. Yes, animals are incredibly intelligent and can learn a lot. Happy New Year.
What?? Most of these are new to me. The only one I knew is the about the cashew. I grew up with these in Jamaica 😊.
Oh I see, the cashew one actually surprised me most since we don’t see the trees in Kenya. We just get the cashews. Jamaica sounds very fun to grow up in 😊
It was 😊.
how about those fun facts!
🤣🥂
kids just agreed it was a pretty bad movie..
❤️
Yeah it was not great…
But good y’all gave it a go! 💞
Great facts but the knee caps one was really disturbing to me…
Yeah that one is a little freaky…
The only one I knew was the kneecaps one, but I have been in ballet, so I learned a few things about the human body
Oh I see, yeah that was actually new to me as someone who knows so little about the human body. I didn’t take any sciences so I was really surprised by that.
I like the interesting facts you posted. A lot of those are hilarious. Glad you had a good Christmas. I had a decent Christmas. Spent it with family in California. I did a lot of traveling this holiday season. I have to admit, I’m glad the holidays are over. Time to get back to normal.
Thanks so much. Yeah traveling can really take it out of you.
Especially driving everywhere
Wow, I have always thought tortoise have the best longevity. I guess I am wrong. I mean 500 years for sharks. That’s so unfair. Why for sharks? How about other fish who are more deserving than sharks to have longevity… Anyway, I think only very few plants can live more than 500 years.
I was surprised by that too. 500 years is such a long time. I think trees live really long too if they aren’t cut down.
I guess I am a little biased against shark since it is not very nice to other creatures. LOL. I guess as a killing or eating machine, intended by nature, it can’t really help it.
I feel bad for sharks because they’re hunted so much but it’s also sad that they eat little fishes.
