Quote Of The Day

I hope you enjoyed this weeks quote of the day. Do let me know what you think of it in the comments below!

What’s Up With Me?

A lot actually. Last week, my cousin and I went to the only bamboo planetarium in the world. Yes, that’s a thing and luckily enough it’s located in Nairobi. It’s called Travelling Telescope and it was actually really fun and informative. They had little beds instead of seats so you can chill while learning. I would have taken pictures but I wanted to be in the moment so I didn’t. The only bad part was that there were so many mosquitos. At least they were happy and full when we left lol. If you visit, definitely do come with some bug spray or tea tree oil or something.

In other news, one of my favourite bloggers, Cheryl Oreglia has published a book. I am so excited to read it and purchased it last night. The full review will come soon. But until then, I wanted to share that information and encourage everyone to check out her book. You can check it out on Amazon by clicking here.

Anyway, I know I have been dropping the ball with blogging. I haven’t posted on some days that I regularly post on. I usually post Monday to Saturday and take Sunday off. But I’ve been overwhelmed with work and life so I took time off this blog. However, I am back now. Refreshed and ready to blog as regularly as I can.

How was your week last week? What are your plans for this week? Let me know in the comments. Or simply stop by and say hi!

    1. Thank you so much ❤

  2. Always good to hear from you, Pooja!

  3. live, laugh and let go – my new slogan

    1. That’s a good slogan to live by.

  4. Beautiful quote! I was delighted to learn of the horizontal viewing planetarium. My father used to invite us out into the garden to watch the stars, planes, satellite and whatever passing over in the night and I recall that horizontal on the ground was best viewing. Fun times! 🤗✨💕

    1. It was a fun experience and I did the same with my mum growing up 😊

  5. Great quote. I think I will make it my life philosophy.

    1. If you’re going to make something your life philosophy, this is a good choice…

  6. Amen, to your quote. A great choice, Pooja. 🤍
Love how your quotes come as reminders to let go and just live😉

    1. Thank you so much. So glad you enjoy the quotes 😊

    1. My pleasure!

  8. Faultable or not, all those I love that live or have passed, I will never let go of because I believe love requires the best I have to offer forever to each of them. A love that remains like them… alive and well here in my heart. PotL

    Quote Contribution.
A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault.

    1. That quote is so true, we can never be perfect and trying to be is a big waste of time. Instead we should just try our best.

  9. Travelling Telescope looks like a fascinating educational place. Question, did your tour guide have the same giant red laser pointer as the one in the site photos.

    1. Yeah, he had the laser pointer. It was definitely a cool place.

      1. You are welcome!

  10. This quote reminds us of the best way to lead our lives. Letting go the past while thinking best of the future, and then enjoying the present moment is the ideal recipe to live a balanced life. The past cannot come back, so there is no use pining for it. The future is yet to come, so why worry about it in the present moment. The life is what we are leading at the moment, hence we must only be concerned about this very moment.

  11. Best quote ever! What a cool planetarium Pooja! Good you rested… I see no slaking on your end! thanks for the intro to Cheryl’s book too! 💞

  12. I think it’s great you decided not to take pictures and live in the moment instead. So many people don’t do that anymore.

    1. Thanks and I agree, sometimes you just need to put your phone down and live in the moment.

  13. How was the planetarium? What did you see?? You were so excited for thus, I’m glad you went.

    1. It was super fun and we learnt so much about space, planets, stars etc!

      1. That’s so amazing!!

  14. Love the quote!
For a change I actually read the quote.
    .
I’m glad to know that you had a good time. 🤸🏻‍♂️
    .
It’s great to see your back with your posting schedule 😃
    .
I know people will not mention it, but I’m still waiting for your video on YT.

    1. Thanks so much ☺ Unfortunately the YouTube video will take a while so you’ll probably see it at the end of the week 😀

  15. You just posted a blog!, you haven’t dropped anything😁. I work and study full time. I love blogging and hoping one day my blog will get to a level where I can fully schedule it into my week. You are doing great. Working full time is a blessing, it might make you push even harder with your blog at some point. Seasons, seasons, seasons, you are always doing the best you can. You might be giving your best at work right now, turn your attention to that. Lol I just realized this comment is longer than most of my blog posts😂🤣😂🤣.

    1. Thanks so much ☺ Doing everything together is difficult but so worth it. I never want to give up on blogging. I’m sure your blog will continue to grow and you’ll get to that place 😊 I prefer long comments so this is great!

  16. I love the quote! Living in the now is the best skill to cultivate especially at work.

    1. Thanks and yes totally!

  17. What you did sounds fun.

That quote is one that I probably need to do but I don’t take care of myself enough to do so.😣

    1. Thanks and you should definitely work on that. It’s important to love and take care of ourselves.

  18. That sounds fun pooj. Glad you are caring for insects. They are so important to the food web. Giving blood is the least we can do – lol.
    Love the quote too!

    1. Thanks! Haha yes, we fed quite a few mosquitoes 😂

  19. The planetarium sounds very cool, minus the mosquitoes of course!

    1. It was definitely very cool even despite the mosquitoes lol!

  20. I love all of your quotes, they all are inspirational. I grow exotic tropical plants in my apartment, just a hobby that I enjoy. The planetarium sounded amazing, you are fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy such a rare experience.

    1. Thanks so much. That sounds like a very fun hobby. I love plants but can’t seem to keep them alive.

      1. I can relate to keeping them alive, it was the same for me as well at the beginning. With time I learned how to keep them healthy, and starting with easy to grow plants might be good choices for you just like they are for me

        1. I started growing some onions and that’s going well so far. Nothing exotic but it’s nice to grow your own food.

          1. Growing your own onions is a good start, I used to grow my own food when I had a place with a yard. Any other food on your agenda to grow, many of them are pretty easy to grow and will be healthier for you

            1. I was thinking of growing garlic and tomatoes since I hear they’re pretty easy to grow too.

              1. Sounds like good choices, there are many types of tomatoes to choose from. I am anxioius to hear which ones you decide to grow, thank you for sharing

                1. Yes, I’ll share that soon.

                  1. I will be looking forward to it

  21. Sometimes you just need a break!

    1. Yeah, sometimes some time off is necessary!

  22. Yes, it is our faith that will decide a lot of things for us even if we don’t want to admit it.

    1. Yeah, we often have little control over our own lives.

  23. A bamboo planetarium? Now I’m curious, what do you see there?

    1. Yeah, it’s surrounded by bamboo trees and made of bamboo. Very cool. We watched a lot of stuff about astronomy and it was a very interesting two hours.

      1. Sounds peaceful.

  24. Great quote to start a new week!
    Noted🔏

    1. Thanks so much!

  25. This reminds me of the serenity prayer. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

    1. I love that prayer and have a great week too.

      1. I have it on a keychain I bought years ago, but I can’t find it anywhere else. I hope to though. That prayer got me through a lot of rough times dealing with depression, stress, and anxiety. Prayer really works. Just got off work, and tired as I can be. Keep me in your prayers, and I will keep you in mine.

        1. Thank you and yes you will definitely be in my prayer.

  26. Love the quote.

    1. Thank you so much.

  27. The quote is a good one.

    1. Thank you so much.

      1. You are welcome.

  28. I love the quote! Definitely words to live by. It’s funny how you keep apologizing for not writing a blog post on all the days that you usually do. I actually have a hard time keeping up with you. Between here and on my Substack platform I follow and read quite a few people’s work, plus spend hours writing myself. You don’t have to worry Pooja, we love you and what you have to offer. You can take a break here and there.

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah I can imagine that’s a lot for you to catch up on. Haha I guess me taking a break isn’t a bad thing after all.

  29. Love the quote. It’s absolutely true. Congrats to your fave blogger and look forward to the upcoming review!

    1. Thanks so much!
