Six Word Story #193

On The Brink Of Collapse

Six Word Story:

She realised, things can get worse.

About This Six Word Story:

This six word story is about those moments when you think this can’t get worse but they somehow do. It’s sort of sad but also funny. It’s like the universe heard you and is going out of its way to be mean. Not funny haha, funny in a life sucks kind of way.

On to better things. I have been laughing all day about my stupid blogging mistake! So yesterday, I edited a post last minute before I scheduled it. And I had a little story about jackfruit in yesterdays post and that led to one of the questions I left for you guys being about jackfruit. Now being the seasoned blogger than I am, I deleted the part with the jackfruit story and left the question “do you like jackfruit?” With absolutely no other context! And you guys are so kind you actually all answered. Without even questioning my stupidity. Except Devang who pointed it out (thank you!)

I just laughed so hard and am actually laughing right now. Let this be a lesson that even blogger that write and post regularly mess up sometimes. And that’s okay! I got a good laugh out of it. Also now I can’t edit the question out because so many of the responses are about jackfruit. It’s just such a funny situation. I need my own sitcom Netflix, this is funny stuff! By the way, the story was that I love jackfruit and finally got some since it’s in season now (I think?). Still laughing!

Celebrity gif. Nutritionist Elissa Taylor holds a white coffee mug to her mouth, liquid spewing out as she laughs.

  1. My answer was out of universe! because I was talking about vegan and non vegan LOL!
~ the post was about one sentenced story
    ~ question was about jackfruit
~ comments were about da same
I think, that question popped into your head randomly!!! ITS OK! sometimes I do the same (~‾▿‾)~
    P.S story was good!

  2. I’ve actually noticed that the question about jackfruit had nothing to do with your previous post but didn’t have the heart to comment 😃

    1. Aw that’s sweet haha. I just wanted to give a little explanation so people don’t think I’m totally randomly asking them about jackfruit 😅

    1. It’s really large and green on the outside and yellow on the inside. It’s delicious and very good as a meat substitute in dishes. Thanks.

  3. I looked up the jackfruit and posted it on my site. It looks very strange. It doesn’t look like a fruit looking at it from the outside, but the inside looks totally different. What type of taste does it have? Is it sweet, sour, or tangy? It looks very healthy though.

    1. I think it’s quite healthy and low in calories. If you eat it ripe it’s quite sweet and almost melts in your mouth. It’s sort of like vegetable but also a fruit depending on how you eat it. You can cook it and add it to tacos, curries, bean bowls etc or just eat it raw.

    1. I’m the opposite, I absolutely love it. Never had it in curry though. I’ve only had it in Mexican dishes as a replacement for meat.

  4. Hahaha too funny! I didn’t even notice anything out of the ordinary when you mentioned the jackfruit. I was honestly curious what a jackfruit was which I now learned from you that it is incredibly delicious! Still have to try it lol. 🤣

  5. Honestly, I thought it was just a random, playful question and I was trying to remember if I’ve ever had jackfruit (my sweety confirms we haven’t, LOL). I’ve made similar mistakes with blog posts; once I was writing all about a music video by Michael Kiwanuka, and posted it with the wrong video, so the explanation I gave made no sense when people watched the video. 😛

    1. Haha yes these mistakes happen occasionally and give us a good laugh 😅 You two should try jackfruit I’m sure you’ll love it. And they even sell seasoned jackfruit in Canada that you just have to stir fry and eat with rice or in a. wrap or something.
