I Just Got A Lovely Surprise In The Mail!

I just got a lovely surprise in the mail and wanted to share it with you guys. I checked my mail box the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find something I had been expecting but I’m not going to lie it had slipped my mind a little. Honestly, I don’t get things in the mail much. But now that I’m a writer *barely* I have been getting more mail. And today, I received a lovely gift from a lovely friend.

I’m sure you guys remember the review I did of Re-Create And Celebrate by Cindy Georgakas. I talked about how much I loved the book even though I am not someone who reads self-help books much. And I am sure you are familiar with Cindy and her blog Unique Times. She’s a big part of the WordPress community. I met her a few years ago on here thanks to blogging and I have loved her blog and writing since then. I have also come to learn that she is an amazing person, she’s so selfless, kind and generous. Seriously, one of the best people I know!

Well, she was kind enough to send me a signed/personalised copy of her book in the mail even though I’m like a million kilometres (read miles for my American audience!) away. This is the first time someone has sent me their book via the mail and the personalised notes made even better. And she added some goodies too! I’m honestly so thankful to Cindy!

          1. I don’t think so.
            It’s been 2+ months
            It’s lost
            The company won’t care
Sadly, no tracking id was given.

When I sent stuff, I give tracking Id, so that shows progress and proof of delivery.

  1. aaaw… such a sweet gesture and so like you say… “she’s so selfless, kind and generous.”
    a wonderful person 🤍🤗

Congratulations to you, Pooja. Clearly seen how happy this made you 🤍🤗

  2. What a delightful surprise. It’s not every day that you receive a book through the mail with such a personal touch.
    Appreciate Cindy’s thoughtful gesture ❤️🙌🏼

  3. In a digital age where communication is often reduced to short texts or even mere emojis, such a personalized touch stands as a poignant reminder that sincerity and kindness still find their way into our lives.

  4. Oh this is so lovely how you showcased this and I’m soooooo happy you were so excited to receive it Pooja! That’s so kind to share💞. Hugs and love and cheers to a long time coming❣️

  5. I love unexpected presents! It’s probably a common thing. I don’t like expected gifts because they feel a bit forced / planned. Gift giving is a form of art that not many have mastered so far. I’m one of those people, last time I gave my hand made gifts Chinese people were confused, although it’s not uncommon to give/receive farewell presents

    1. Same here, I very much prefer unexpected gifts much more. But I rarely get them and never got them often as a kid. Which is what makes it better when I do get an unexpected gift.
Oh I see, that’s so interesting. I guess it’s different in every culture.
