I Had A Very Spooky Halloween

Halloween | Your Halloween Six Word Stories | Happy Halloween, Everyone!

I had a very spooky Halloween this year guys. Like straight out of horror movie. I know I generally share my costume etc but this year I didn’t dress up. Well technically I dressed up but not in a costume. I was invited to a tasting event on Halloween so I went for that instead. It was amazing and I hope to share a whole post about it soon. But back to my very spooky Halloween.

The night before Halloween, the light in my bedroom stopped working so I assumed it was time to replace it. But I woke up in the middle of the night and the light was on. Like it just randomly switched itself on or something. It hadn’t been working at all earlier and now randomly it was just fine.

And then last night something truly creepy happened. I got into bed, ready to go to sleep and a drop of water (or what I hope was water) just fell on my face. Like out of nowhere. It was so random and weird. Yeah, I’m like pretty sure my house is haunted or something. I may never sleep peacefully again. Although I actually slept exceptionally well last night lol. To be honest, I’m pretty used to weird stuff happening. But the water freaked me out.

So tell me, how was your Halloween? Did you do anything fun? If so, what did you do? What costume did you dress up as? Have you ever experienced anything spooky or unexplainable? Let me know in the comments located below or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. I hope you don’t have a broken water pipe above your bed in the space between floors, Pooja. The light working when it wants is also very creepy!

    1. It hasn’t happened again so hopefully not a broken water pipe. And yeah, it was quite creepy!

      1. Good news!

        1. Yes, good news indeed!

  2. That was probably spooky blood, Pooj!! WWOoooooooooOoOOoohHh!!

    1. Haha probably!

  3. This is a really awesome post, and the explanation of the words is terrific, Pooja! I enjoyed it a lot😊🥰🤗🙏🙏

    1. Thanks so much! 😊

      1. Always Warmly welcome, girl😊🥰

  4. I watched ghostbusters, and Halloween (2007), so it was probably ectoplasm.

    1. I watched Ghostbusters for the first time a couple of days before Halloween. And Halloween Ends since I had been meaning to watch it since it came out. Haha probably was ectoplasm 😅

  5. How interesting! I hope your ceiling doesn’t have a leak!
We don’t celebrate Halloween and neither did the schools of my grandkids.

    1. Water droplet on the face if never happened before and out of nowhere, is really weird indeed. You gotta check it.
      Thanks for the share.

      1. Yeah, it was so odd but it’s been okay now so hopefully it shouldn’t be an issue. Thanks so much.

    2. I hope so too, that would be so annoying! Oh I see, Halloween isn’t so big here either. Usually it’s just the adults that have parties.

      1. We have so many other things going on that no one celebrates it here.

        1. Yeah, I think most countries have their own traditions that are more celebrated. If I’m not wrong Halloween isn’t very popular anywhere except N. America.

          1. Yes I think you’re right. Not even in Uk or the rest of Europe.

            1. Yeah, I think Europeans have their own traditions and don’t really do Halloween.

              1. That’s right 👍🏼

  6. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding what’s real and what’s not.
Like this, I don’t understand if you are telling a story or this actually happened.

An invisible monster is definitely watching you, he likes drinking blood of all the pretty girls, that’s his hobby 😛

    1. This was real lol. I know it sounds fake but I swear it happened. 😅

      1. I can imagine a moster- predator lurking above you

If one day you suddenly disappear, I know where you went.

Btw you checked out the show I suggested?

        1. Pls look for me in the underworld if I disappear, thanks 😅

Not yet, I’ve been too busy to do anything 🥲

  7. “Ghosts are the Hosts
    of Holloween!”_-Van Prince

    1. Haha, true!

      1. From my penthouse apt, I enjoyed the children in trick or treat status, and I did give them all of the candy I purchased for them. Children are the best of this world!

        1. That’s wonderful. I’m not a fan of children but it’s nice that you are.

          1. Children become what they play at and it requires patience to deal with the created ordeal of them!

            1. A lot of patience, that’s for sure.

              1. I haven’t always had a lot of patience. Because I didn’t like to rewrite and edit my manuscripts for books, but after letting others do that something they took out or added under the doctrine of professionalism. I’ve always known that if a book is goodthat iswhat editors get paid for. The lady who wrote Gone With The Wind put it in a draw thinking it was worthless and a neighbor or a friend retrieved it for a drawer and read it and it wasand isa masterpiect that was published and resulted into a movie. Oh well you fill in the blanks!

  8. Water just fell from outta nowhere onto your face as you were getting in bed?! Lol. Um, nope!

I would’ve been up all night trying to find a leak of some sort. Lol.

I don’t celebrate Halloween, so it just ends up being a day I let pass on by and I go about it just as I would any other day. Lol. I worked, cooked, and went to bed around 11:30PMish, and slept so peacefully.

    1. I think I was too exhausted to care lol 😅

Well, it sounds like a good day and that’s all that matters!

      1. 😆😂🤣 “Too exhausted to care.” I feel that.

        1. It be like that some days (or most lol) 😅😜

  9. Maybe the water was bug pee. 😊

I don’t know if this is what you had in mind.

When I was about five, I had just learned to skate.
When I went to sleep that night, I dreamed of skating on a lake near where I lived.
I very vividly saw a large rock on the left side of the trail and a large downed tree across the steep path further up toward the lake. At the top of the high ridge, two colossal pine trees framed the way down to the lake. The aroma of the pines was pungent and stung the nose.
The ice was like glass on the large lake, and a small group of people were skating all over it. Most of the faces I recognized in the dream were friends and relatives of mine, and there were a few strangers.
I could smell a campfire of maple, birch, and fir; the blue haze of the smoke rose straight up.
When I got to the lake, I was excited to put on my skates, and a cousin helped me lace up the skates. I heard the crack of someone shooting a slapshot down the ice, which seemed to go on forever, and then I woke up.
A week later, friends invited me to go skating. It played out exactly as my dream. On the way there, as we walked along the trail, I freaked out my cousin as I told him what was ahead. He knew that I had never been there before. I told him about the dream when he asked how I knew those things. I will never forget the strange look I got from him.

    1. I can only hope it was bug pee lol 😅

Oh wow, that’s so odd. Wow.

  10. I remember years ago, I think I was just out of high school…or maybe not…a bunch of us, friends, went out to a graveyard….yep, out in the middle of nowhere off a gravel road in rural alberta….someone said they knew someone that was buried there..never knew if this we true……we all huddled around this grave stone for a bit, then, well, with the headlights on our car turned off, a bunch of terrified group of teenagers, we sprinted, hoped in the car crapping our pants scared..I don’t know of what…but yep………I don’t believe in ghosts or anything paranormal, but that night..maybe it was a collectve thing…

    1. Wow, yeah I would have been pretty scared too if that happened to me especially in the middle of nowhere at a graveyard.

  11. Halloween went well. Ray and I dressed in our care bear costumes, Danielle as wolverine. It was our first trick or treat with out Pammy so that was weird. My niece and nephew came to ToT and Ray and I took turns walking the neighborhood with them.

    1. Yeah, it must have been odd with just the two of you but at least your niece and nephew were there. Hope you still had fun.

  12. sounds halloween was in the mood to trick-or-treating you, Pooja 😬
glad you still slept exceptionally well😉
    🤍

    1. Lol, yes I think the ghosts were in a playful mood 👻😅

      1. lol, clearly.
        🤍🤗

  13. Oh my, I would’ve freaked out a bit n been so confused if those things happened to me lol! Especially the water bit.. ah hoping that it was water and not some other weird scary substance. 😂

I don’t celebrate Halloween, so I’m glad it’s over with. I am super excited to hear about that tasting event you went to!! ☺️

    1. I was confused but I think too sleepy to care. The next day I was more freaked out lol 😅

      Thanks! 😊

  14. The water drop and the light situation would’ve freaked me out!! And to have it happen one time and then another. Yikes.

    1. I think I was too sleepy to care but the next day I was like wait that was weird!

      1. It’s good you were too exhausted to care! To be worried, tired, and awake would be worse.

        1. Agreed that would be way worse.

  15. Your Halloween story is definitely spooky! It’s always weird when things like that happen, especially when you’re trying to go to sleep.

    1. Yeah, it was super odd but I’m hoping this is the end of the weird stuff happening.

  16. 😁😁it’s not in our culture to celebrate Halloween 😁😁

  17. One of the nearby towns puts on a big thing for halloween, as they have a traffic circle that they shutdown and there’s a big common area available. So thousands of people show up. Our church is on one of the main roads leading to it, so each year we put up popcorn machines and have games for the kids and a metric ton of candy and then in the basement of the church have chairs for parents to get off their feet for a couple of minutes and food and hot drinks.
I was helping with one of the games. 5pm to 8pm. Non-stop controlled chaos with hundreds of kids. I had a blast but was totally exhausted. I had gone there straight from work so it made for one very long day 🙂

    1. Oh fun although yeah I’m sure it’s exhausting taking care of so many kids who are probably a little high from all the sugar. Still, glad they had fun in a safe and controlled environment.

  18. That water is indeed strange . I wonder how that was possible

    1. Yeah, it was seriously weird. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen again.

  19. Well…you were blessed by the light in your bedroom

    1. Yeah, I guess so.

  20. Could have an electrical short due to the water in your ceiling. 😂 I know what you mean; especially at night, my mind jumps to conclusions any time something happens. I often have my craziest ideas right after waking up. Later in the day, I look back at them to evaluate whether or not they should become a project and say to myself “what was I thinking?!”

    1. Lol, I can only hope it’s an electrical short and not some random ghost making itself at home as they so often do 😅 Omg same, sometimes I write poetry as soon as I wake up and later in the day I’m just like what did I write and why??

  21. Child #3 went trick or treating with a couple of friends. No one else went anywhere, though I was supposed to go to a game night with some friends I didn’t because we had had snow (yes, that dirty four-letter word!) and with the roads being wet and the temperature dropping, I was terrified of ice on the roads and sliding off. The rest of us stayed put. We got no trick-or-treaters! It was disappointing. We did, however, manage to make it to a nearby Walmart early Wednesday morning to score some Halloween candy for the kiddos!

    1. Hope Child #3 had fun and that sucks that it snowed on Halloween but glad you guys at least got some candy the next day!

      1. Yes and half off!!!! Woohoo!

        1. The best part of Halloween ending is the cheap candy lol!

  22. Yikes! That is scary, Pooja! Where I live we never know what to expect because the upstairs neighbors are always creating issues for us with water coming from the ceiling. We didn’t dress up but decorated our front door and actually had trick-or-treaters – first time in the 10 years we have lived here. Thank goodness we were prepared and handed out apples.

    1. Yeah, it was pretty scary! We have neighbours like that downstairs always bugging us too.
Oh nice, glad you were prepared for the unexpected trick-or-treaters.

  23. Well, my Hallowe’en did not include a spooky baptism by night or another water message sent. Isn’t that something. My day was about leaving treats out for neighbors and watching scary movies, mostly of the classic black-and-white kind. At least your lamp is haunted by staying on. It seems that the professional ghost-watchers always have their equipment fail. Blessings on All Souls (which is today as I write).

    1. Haha lucky you, I wish mine did not include an unwanted midnight baptism too. What movies did you watch?

      1. Let’s see, I saw Frankenstein (Boris Karloff) and Frankenstein’s Bride (with Elsa Lanchester), The Vampire Bat (with Bela Lugosi), The Wolf Man (Lon Chaney), Dracula with Christopher Lee as Dracula, and I fell asleep during The House on Haunted Hill (Vincent Price) because I was tired and have seen it many times. I’d seen them all except The Vampire Bat. Pretty much, I turned on Turner Classic Movies and let it run all day while I wrote or did whatever. Do you have favorite movies for Hallowe’en?

        1. Oh nice. I watched a lot of Halloween themed movies in October too. I watched Totally Killer, Halloween Ends, Psycho, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Ghostbusters (the original one), The Addams Family, Last Night In Soho and a few others. I don’t know if I have a favourite since I love most horror movies. What’s your favourite?

          1. My favorite is an old one from the seventies. Somewhat bloody (not a lot) but I feel it’s really scary. It’s called The Legend of Hell House. I’m guessing it’s a British film since everyone in it is English, though the story and the script are by Richard Matheson who I believe was from the USA. It’s about a specialized group (scientist, ESP-er, survivor of an earlier experience) who go to stay in and study “the Mount Everest of haunted houses.” I also think The Omen’s really good (the first one) and also Halloween. I’m guessing you enjoy watching horror movies all year-round, as I do.

            1. Yes, I love them all year around and your favourite sounds interesting. I’ll check them out especially The Legend of Hell House. That sounds like something I would enjoy.

      2. For Halloween I was stuck at home sick, I stayed in bed most of the time so pajamas was my costume. It’s always nice to hang out with spirits and such, napping all day I dreamed of the best dog ever. He is a service dog who comes to school every day with Johnny, his name is Benny, i tjink he is my favorite pesrson at school.

        1. Sorry to hear you were sick but glad you got some rest. Benny sounds so adorable and sweet.

          1. Benny is a white lab, he is the best

            1. He sounds awesome, glad you get to see him during work. Few people can say they get to see the best dog while working.

  24. That’s so Creepy Pooja! Water and light sporadically appearing, definitely haunted. We sat outside on Halloween night with the neighbors in the driveway, enjoying the trick-or-treaters, passing out candy, sipping wine, and munching on a table of shared food. It’s our tradition. Hugs, C

    1. Lol, yeah I’ve had a lot of weird experiences in my bedroom so I’m pretty sure it’s just an overly friendly ghost 😅
Sounds like you guys had a very fun time this Halloween.

  25. What a creepy Halloween! I had a good night no creepy things over here.

    1. Yup, super creepy! Glad you had a good night.

  26. Those drops of water or whatever they are are real – I’ve experienced them more than once. Sometimes you can identify the source, but usually you can’t. They are spooky.

    1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has experienced them. I really wonder where the water comes from although it may be a better idea for us not to think of it too much.

  27. There are always inklets of water on the floor in the corner of my room. I have no idea how they get there. Maybe the spirits are just trying to annoy me.

    1. That’s so odd. Lol, maybe they’re just messing with you.

  28. Last Friday my family and I found ourselves running through a haunted corn field and a haunted house. We had a blast!!

    1. Woah, sounds like a lot of fun!

  29. That is freaky!!!! We had a low key time at my mom’s house which was sups fun 💕

    1. That’s nice, a fun way to spend Halloween!

  30. Love that you had a spooky Halloween, Pooja! That is just how it should be.
I had the pleasure of trick or treating with my young cousin dressed as a witch. 🙂

    1. Haha thanks! That sounds fun, glad you had a fun one too 😊

  31. Spooky indeed! It’s unsettling when things like those happen.

We handed out candy in the freezing cold! Didn’t see the grandkids that day but saw pictures of their costumes.

    1. It was definitely very good!

That’s nice, hope your grandkids had a good time. Hope you had something warm after the cold!

      1. Thanks, yes, they had fun, thanks. It actually wasn’t so bad as I left my jacket and toque on the whole time as was going back and forth to the door. 😂

        1. Glad they had fun and it wasn’t too bad lol 😆

  32. Oh that is really quite creepy!! I didn’t do much for Halloween this year and only had some friends over to share some pizza. I didn’t even see kids dressed up and trick-or-treating!

    1. Yup, it was super creepy! Oh wow, I see! Glad you had fun with your friends though.
