Your Eyes Always Watching Me

Stalker | Six Word Story | Your Eyes Always Watching Me | Things I Never Said

Your eyes always watching me

I know that you see

That I’m thriving without you

And there’s nothing more you can do

To keep me in the shadows besides you

In misery too

You hate to see me happy

But today you’ll see me free

Free to be me

About “Your Eyes Always Watching Me”:

Have you ever been watched? I have and it sucks. We all have people in our lives that don’t want to see us happy, that don’t want to see us living our best lives. If you don’t think there are people in your life like that, you may just not be looking close enough. Unfortunately, you’re always going to have haters. Whether online or in person. And that’s why you have to try even harder to be yourself. Your authentic self. And do what makes you happy. Don’t let anyone dictate how you should live your life. Live your life the way you want because in the end you’re the only one who will suffer if you choose to do what others tell you.

I didn’t mean for this “about” to become a random motivational speech. Now I’m no motivational speaker. I have a hard time even motivating myself let alone others. But I do know about haters. This poem was inspired by nosy relatives who like to stalk my social media and hate that I have a life. We all have them and honestly I don’t care anymore. I’m not ashamed to be living my best life.

Do you have any annoying relatives like that or just random people who like to stalk your social media? If so, how do you deal with it? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. My relatives are quite well
But ,there are other people who are like that 😝

    Well this is life

Anyway, keep thriving, let nothing stop you. ❤️

    1. Yes, there’s always going to be people like that. You just have to keep living your best life 😊

      1. It took you long to reply to this 😝

        Buddy, how are you doing?

        Please whine, it’s needed

        1. I’m too busy living life lol 😅

  2. First and foremost, we love you and we love your blog! You got this, girl! Second, I think we have all had haters, nasty family members, etc. and it’s such a shame! Life has its own challenges, why make it harder? I have never seen the point of being nasty, when I could be kind! Several years back, we used to call it WWJD? What would Jesus do? Now, I realize that not everyone is religious, but why be unkind? Let’s just love everyone!!! Start the revolution of kindness!!!

    1. I couldn’t agree more, we all need to be kinder and more loving to one another! And ignore the haters.

  3. “Free to be me” – Bravo you! 🙌🏻🦋

    1. Thank you! 😊

      1. Welcome! 🌻

  4. That’s so true. I mean there is this concept of evil eye that ruins everything. I do agree that there are people who feel jealous just because others are happy or maybe it’s their own misery that makes them hate other happy people.

    1. So true, the evil eye concept is something I’ve been thinking of too. Not everyone wants the best for you, usually because they’re sad or jealous.

  5. I’m not sure if anyone is stalking my social media or not because I’m quite private person and I don’t share much on social media

    1. It’s sometimes best to be a more private person.

  6. It’s too bad people spend so much time knoocking others down. Lifting them up feels so much better, for everyone.

    1. It’s definitely sad that people feel the need to hate on others. We should definitely be lifting one another.

    1. Thanks 😊

  7. Cultural or otherwise, when we permit others to occupy the vital space in our minds, we must realize there is a time to evict them and do so by purging their presence. And in doing so will provide a nurturing space for our own voices, so they can rise and be heard internally to the point they can escape externally, in verbal or in written form to share truer-selves with others in the truer form of whom we were born and meant to become. Clearly you continue to outgrow the fear of others and their past.

    1. Thanks so much. I very much agree, we should not let people like that live in our mind rent free. That space can be used for much better things.

  8. I tend to ignore people who are haters and just keep working on my own goals. It’s a lot more peaceful that way.

    1. It’s the best thing to do, just ignore them and keep living your best life.

  9. A long time ago I had someone tell me that I was on a game of survivor and didn’t know it. I ended up getting fired because of backstabbing and lies, but I was so happy to leave that place and it turned out to be a blessing.

I like to think that most people in my life now are very supportive.

I don’t know how to tell if is someone is stalking my social media, so maybe I am the stalker, lol.

    1. I think leaving was for the best, that sounds like such a toxic environment. My friend left her job a while back for that same reason and got another one that is better for her.

The best way to tell if they’re stalking you is if they’re not following you but still know everything you post. Lol, maybe so.

      1. Great tip. It is a small town so everyone knows everything about everyone anyway, lol.

        1. Lol, yeah that’s how all small towns are.

  10. We are never to bother abt them anyway, ” free to be me” that is most important, thanks.

    1. Exactly, always be yourself and ignore everyone who tries to stop you. Thanks so much.

  11. This line, “You hate to see me happy,” is an important dynamic. My father hated when I succeeded. I once brought home a composition from school that got an A+ and he read it and told my mother that “He couldn’t have written it — he must have copied it.” He hated that she was proud of me. On the other hand she was a toxic optimist and praised everything. It was great & it was worthless. My relatives stopped because they’re all dead now(my parents and their siblings due to old age.)

    1. I’m sorry to hear that, it sucks growing up like that. Your family is supposed to have your back and it hurts when it’s the opposite. And toxic positivity can be just as bad as the negativity from my experience too.

  12. “But today you’ll see me free
    Free to be me….”
best attitude and all the best with this attitude… keep going, dear Pooja. 🤍🤗

    1. Thanks, I think so too. Always be yourself. 😊🤗

      1. most welcome 🤍🤗

  13. If you’re dealing with haters, the best thing to do is just ignore them. Don’t give them the power to upset you. Just keep doing your thing and eventually they’ll get tired of trying to get to you.

    1. Absolutely, keep doing you and ignore the haters.

  14. There was a time when what others thought about me bothered me. But now I’ve outgrown this and it matters to me not if they don’t like me. As for the so called friends, it’s simple: cut them off your life.

    1. When I was younger it bothered me too but I think as we get older we cut the toxic people out and live better lives. I’m glad you cut off the fake friends. You don’t need people like that.

      1. Exactly right my friend

  15. Beautiful poem, Pooja. I enjoyed it. Every word is amazing 😊🥰🤗🤗🙏👌👌

    1. Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed the poem 😊

      1. Yes, I do😊🥰🤗🙏🙏

  16. free to be me
    is so marlo thomas
    1970 s gudker
    as for eyes watching
    who gives a shit?

    1. Exactly, don’t let haters stop you.

      1. but wait a minute, i m a hater. too.

        1. And I’m okay with that 😅

          1. acid rain. acid metal. like the nice sign those motorists keep hitting. thud! thud! oh oh oh no! ha ha ha ha~

      2. ebeneezer is getting schooled. pity the fool , open the book , take a look, who is your friend and who is your foe?

  17. “Free to be me”. Amen to that Pooja. If people don’t like what I write or what I have to say, they can take a hike.

    1. Exactly, if they don’t like it then that’s their problem not yours. Thanks so much.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja.

  18. Let them watch!!!! So good Pooja

    1. Exactly, all they can do is watch you succeed!

      1. Grllllll BOOM!!! You got that right!

  19. I tend to think there’s less “haters” than people who maybe don’t have emotional health and it’s easier for them to push others down than raise themselves up. From this aspect, it’s good that they are watching you… as you can demonstrate hope and compassion – for yourself and others – they may find a way out of their own struggles.

    1. I agree that a lot of people push others down because they’re in a negative place themselves and don’t know how to process that. But for my more negative relatives I’ve realised they don’t learn or try to better themselves, they just hate on people that are happy (not just me but a lot of people) so I ignore them and keep my distance. It took me a long time to finally be able to be myself and like myself, I don’t like anyone messing that up for me.

      1. Sounds like healthy self care to me. Good on you, Pooja!

  20. Yes, Yes, and Yes! Never feel shame for living the best life for you! Awesome poem Pooja! It use to bother me greatly to have bullies watching my every post, but not anymore. I live this life, it is mine to live as I please. If they don’t like it, don’t read what I write!

    1. Thank you! I used to get bothered too but I’ve moved past that. I really don’t care if people don’t like me or what I post. It’s my life not theirs. So glad you didn’t let the bullies keep you down. They are so not worth it, keep living your life and sharing posts you want to share!

  21. What a creepy, dispiriting experience to be ghosted and for especially terrible reasons. I don’t have relatives annoying in this way (I don’t have that many relatives anymore), but I have experienced something like what you have endured. People who shouldn’t be there shouldn’t be there. Please take care.

    1. Yeah, it sucks but it really doesn’t bother me as much as it did in the past. I’ve mostly cut the toxic people out and those I can’t avoid I just keep my distance from them. Thanks so much.

      1. Me, too. It’s not always easy to cut out people. But it’s a hard truth that sometimes we need to for health, sanity, and balance.

        1. Yes, it’s really hard to cut out people especially when you were once close but sometimes it’s necessary.

  22. Yes, I can relate to this. Moving back where I grew up 6 years ago bc my mother was dying and then getting stuck due to covid has me living amongst very religious and judgmental people-many family members. I have lived my life so differently than them and I almost never feel that they’re cheering me on but quite the opposite. Anyway, thanks for writing this and for the motivational part.😊

    1. That sucks, I can totally relate to that. It’s sad when the negativity comes from your own family members. Thanks so much and I hope you’re enjoying your travels! 😊

      1. You’re welcome. Thank you!

        1. You’re very welcome!

  23. The boogy man oooooooo! 🤣😎🙃

    1. The boogyman is preferable to spending time with some of my relatives (some I adore) 😅

  24. It is sad how people in your family hate on you because they are not where they want to be in their life. You keep being your authentic self and don’t worry about those type of people. I have been going through this all of my life. I know it hurts because family is suppose to be proud of what you do, but it is sad that they act the way that they do. Sometimes your haters can be right in your own home. I know from experience. I like your poem. It speaks volumes. Again, we have your back. Keep being the inspiration that you are.

    1. It’s definitely sad, if they spent that energy making themselves and their lives better it would help them so much. But instead they choose to use it to hate on others. It really does hurt but I think eventually we learn to ignore the toxic people and live our lives regardless of them. Thanks so much, I truly appreciate the support.

  25. That one’s spooky Pooj!! Made me think of Russia or Iran, China perhaps – with stalker overtones!!

    1. Lol, yeah it’s pretty creepy!

  26. love this Pooja. live like everyones watching you because well they are and it’ THEIR PROBLEM❣️🤪

    1. Thank you, lol exactly!! 😅

      1. 🙌🏽💞🙌🏽

  27. I like to watch people going about their daily lives and speculate about what those lives really are and whether they are happy. But I know you are referring to close supervisory watching by snoopy people. Provided it is confined to watching I have no problem with them watching me but if its about giving unwanted advice all the time that’s another matter and they will soon know they need to move on. 🙂

    1. It’s fun to people watch sometimes but I hate when people snoop just to gossip. Gossips are something I try very hard to ignore. And unsolicited advice is always best ignored 🙂

  28. True that many people keep looking for ways to ruin things in your life.

    1. Yes, unfortunately not everyone wants the best for you.

  29. Your right. There’ll always be haters. We just gotta rise above them! X

    1. Exactly, you just have to ignore the haters and keep living your life!

  30. Block and delete, delete, or ignore: those are my solutions.

    1. My pages are all public so even though they’re blocked they still look through my posts. I’ve decided to change them to private for a bit.

  31. Yeah I have relatives like that. My medicine though is that am less active on the apps where there are more active in, and more active in the apps where they have less interest in.

    I don’t like being watched.

    1. That makes sense. I recently private my accounts so I don’t have to deal with them. It helped. Yeah, being watched sucks.

  32. You mean the ones who never comment or like but always know exactly what you write about when you do get together 🤣?

    1. Lol, exactly 😅

  33. Yesssss, watch us succeed, and be green with envy.

    1. Precisely.

Good for you. Determination to move on and be healthy is the best way!

    1. Thanks so much, I think so!

  36. So realllll…
    Well written 🤍

    1. Thanks so much 😊

  37. If someone does not see any nosy haters in their life, they should make sure they are not the stalker!

    1. Haha, I agree very much!

  38. Haters and naysayers don’t know any other way to feel better about themselves. You keep your eyes on the prize. 🙏👏👏

    1. I absolutely agree, keep doing you and ignore the haters because they’re just miserable people 🤷🏻‍♀️

  39. This is why I make a point of not stalking. It opens a whole can of worms

    1. Honestly, stalking never leads to anything good. Just live your life without caring too much about what others are doing with theirs.

  40. Such an interesting topic. Hugs, C

    1. Thank you, glad you enjoyed the post.

  41. Then there are people who may help you, provided you don’t surpass them, which is so common here in my country, but is not like that with many of the other people I’ve met outside the country.

    1. Yeah, definitely there are great people too.
