Come up with a crazy business idea.

Since I didn’t have any post ideas today, I decided to share my answer to this prompt about a crazy business idea. I’ve been quite busy with my book as I need to finish writing it by the end of the week so that editing can begin. And it’s taking up most of my mental energy. So, today I decided to do a random post that I would not have to put too much energy into.

This may seem like an easy and fun prompt but it isn’t. The thing is, so many crazy (read stupid) business ideas are taken and already exist so it’s hard to come up with an original one. I mean, Poop Senders is a real thing. How do you top that?

Well, this is my crazy business idea (please don’t steal it lol). You know how women’s clothing never has pockets or even if it does the pockets are tiny and inadequate? Well, what if you could add pockets to all your favourite dresses and pants so you don’t have to carry a purse everywhere? My business idea is a business that provides pockets with matching fabric and flawlessly sews them into your favourite clothes so you never have to complain about pockets again. Your clothes will look cute and you’ll actually be able to fit your phone in your pocket!

My other idea was a business that sends mean limericks to people you hate… But that one I may just turn into a real business so I won’t share too much about it…

    I was going to throw out an idea, but the more I thought about it, it seemed like it could be a good idea. It is a different approach to dieting apps. It could also tied into your pocket business. I can send you a PM if your are interested in investing or a partnership, lol.

    It’s an awesome idea actually, my husband only buys certain types of pants and jackets considering the pocket sizes. I always thought it’s a bit extreme, but I don’t have a say, I grew up with a personal seamstress, my mom, she always made big and useful pockets in all the things she made for us. I guess I am spoiled. Anyways, I will ask him to see if he wants to invest into a pocket business with Pooja, he is a designer, not a joke.

      Thanks so much. After buying a pair of pants with five fake pockets I’m with your husband when it comes to pants and jackets. I only buy specific ones with proper pockets. That would be so cool, would love to work with him on this idea if he’s interested.

    Women surely have terrific collection of pants, if you know what I mean.

    The idea is good, could actually work.

    I also wanted to do a prompt, but it disappeared. For bloguary, I have nothing interesting 😛

    Btw, the pockets should be detachable. I mean, you can stick it wherever you want and have multiple of them.
    Same cloths, color will look even better.

        And looks natural, like not an unwanted addition, but looks like it was always there.
        Pockets in different sizes, where women can keep money, cards, phone, keys, etc.

My wallet and I have a long-standing relationship too – got it 5 years ago, and it’s been by my side ever since. 😊 My sister once gifted me a new one , but it had a one-day adventure before I misplaced it.     Whoever designs women’s clothes wants them to use their purses. I’m always fascinated when a selling point for a dress or a skirt is the pockets. Back when women wore floor length, bulky skirts they at least had a pouch that was like a pocket inside their skirt. Now there are too many clothes with fake pockets. It would be nice to add pockets to blazers and pants for sure.

      I agree, it’s all about making us buy a bunch of purses we don’t need. I recently fell victim to some pants with fake pockets recently and it sucked. They looked so real online lol. Absolutely, it would be so nice to be able to add pockets to anything you want.

      The legal side popped into my head too. A good lawyer could call it harassment and possibly slander too and sue the business into bankruptcy. You’d want the advice of a good lawyer before proceeding very far with the idea.

        I’ve always found Limericks to an object of hate because it not only has an annoying and difficult structure to follow but is also required to be humorous and/or bawdy. I once followed a challenge prompt to write a Limerick that was not humorous. So I wrote the first and only very dark Limerick about Chamberlain’s appeasement and the beginning of World War 2. Not an inherently humorous topic, but none of the possible recipients are still alive:
            Secret Limerick
        A depression to drink to a war
        pusillanimous Chamberlain awed
        but an Anschluss to ‘eight
        ‘oslovakia bait
        the appeasement a launch for the war

        She can try, she can lie, she can cry
        for a list, for a tryst, kiss good-bye
        a seduction of course
        for ‘r freedom enforced
        but as spies all the beautiful die

        For a form unadorned, my forlorn
        undertaken by sorrow at dawn
        is to lay under death
        for a world unimpressed
        only she, if for me, would’ve mourned

        For a whisper, she has died
        a seduction in a
        broken rhyme

        Release her soul I pray,
        but brave one:
        I miss you

    Putting pockets in your clothes is actually a great idea. It isn’t crazy though. It is a helpful idea. Why not send good notes to people you love or like rather than sending mean lyrics to people you don’t like? Just a suggestion. We all need positivity in our lives.

        I don’t know how to write limericks either. “Limerick” is fun to say. 😂 I prefer to use backpacks rather than purses.

          Lol yeah, I honestly like the idea of limericks and the word is totally fun to say but no idea how to write them 😅 I use a tote bag I won in Canada haha.

            I often don’t notice when someone is taking advantage of me until it’s too late. Now I tend to just keep a distance from everyone which isn’t good either. Knowing who to trust is hard even as an adult.

            People can turn on you in an instant. One moment they’re your friend the next they hate you act so vile. I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words… if someone treats me like absolute crap through actions, I don’t forget that stuff.

            This past year I’ve kept a distance from a lot people and idk if it’s related to this or something else. I keep to myself now. In some ways it’s been better but in other ways I’ve forgotten how to trust ppl and interactions feel less personal.

              Absolutely, I had a similar experience with some family members I was close to growing up who totally turned on me recently now that they no longer need me. It hurt, not going to lie, but I realised it’s for the best to not have toxic people like that in my life.

              It’s a double edged sword but sometimes we need to keep our distance to protect ourselves.

        Of course your idea is good — I’ve heard a lot of women over the years complain about not having pockets. It must be some kind of political problem — the major fashion designer establishment must be intimidating and suppressing designers and retailers. It’s like a mafia of some kind because there has always been tremendous demand for the product, but it never gets done. It almost seems like a dress with pockets would be forbidden from being shown on a runway at a major fashion show in Paris or wherever they do these things.
        The problem is not in the idea, but in overcoming the tyrants of the bureaucracy of the propaganda and advertising industrial complex(or whatever you call it). Good ideas are often mocked and trashed and killed before they get off the ground.
        Maybe you could use the concept of cowboy chaps which is leggings with a belt except that you could have a belt attached to an over-skirt with part of the front cut out. The skirt could have many hanging pockets on the side.
        Ooops sorry — this is incoherent and crazy. Just wanted to comment. Nevermind.

    2. Sleep your way to fitness. A fitness company that promotes a fitness campaign while you sleep so that you don’t have to go to the gym.

    I’m planning to set up the two companies with glossy brochures, psuedoscience, glowing reviews (that I shall make up) and flashy adds. I just need catchy names and wealthy sponsors.
    I think they would both prove incredibly popular!

    That is certainly a crazy idea but not a stupid one! To take it further for people who can’t sew, providing a button/snap-on option (you’d have to figure that out) would net you an even bigger consumer base. Obviously, I’m one of those who can’t sew 😂😂😂. As it stands, I am always purse-free because we buy my husband only carpenter or cargo jeans 😂 .

    I like the pockets idea for women’s clothing. I’ve wondered why there are not pockets (better pockets) for women, especially when I’ve heard women say they want them. (I suppose you could combine the negative limericks notion with the singing telegram style.) I don’t know, I had a unique design for a Christmas tree but was told it had been done. But I still haven’t seen it, so maybe the person who told me it was done really wanted the idea for himself (it was a he).

      I think the reason we don’t have proper pockets or often any pockets is because they want us to buy purses. Jokes on them, we now use tote bags and I got mine for free lol.

      I mean, even if it’s been done you can still go for it and make it popular. Lol maybe, he may have just said that to throw you off while he steals the idea.

    BTW maybe to differentiate the pockets business, line the material with that anti-RFID material so that no one can pirate your credit card when you’re out and about (how do they even do that?!).

    I was also thinking about a fitting and ironing clothes business somewhere like the CBD😄, so you can buy a dress or any piece of clothes and have them custom-fitted for you exactly😃
