A Day In My Life
Welcome to another “Day In My Life” post. I noticed that these are quite popular and you guys seem to enjoy them so I hope to make them more frequently. Plus, I get to post something on my YouTube channel too when I make these so it’s a win-win. This was a really crazy day for me and so many random things happened so I knew I wanted to share it here with everyone.
Morning
I woke up in the morning in a bit of a rush. I had accidentally overslept on a day I had to wake up particularly early. So, I ended up skipping most of my morning routine and got straight to work. After working for a few hours I got ready to go out. My sister, cousin brother and I went to Optica to see the optician. She’s really nice and I did my exam while my cousin looked for a new frame as his had broken.
The optician did the test a few times and I was wondering why so I asked her. She told me she wanted to make sure because my prescription had lowered on its own in both eyes. Apparently it rarely happens but does happen to some people. I think it must be due to my change in diet because I work online in front of a screen almost all day so it can’t be due to lifestyle.
After this, we went to pick up my other cousin brother who works nearby as he was joining us for lunch.
Afternoon
For lunch, we went to Peppertree, I have been here before with my bestie and we liked it so much so I wanted to go back with my cousins and my sister. I think I’ll do a full review of my experience there separately as it will take too much time to do here. But it’s a beautiful place and we had lots of delicious dishes.
We ordered drinks first and I left that up to my youngest cousin. You may remember him and his awesome looking drink that I shared on my Sarabi post. Well, he truly has a talent for picking the best drinks because he chose this mocktail for me and it was the coolest drink I’ve probably ever had. Look at that lavender on top!
For the meal, we ordered roasted corn, roasted sweet potato, cauliflower tempura, veg tacos which came with a salad and fries, ginger braised tofu and the halloumi burger which also came with a side salad and fries. It was all incredible although a little pricey in my opinion.
One cousin went back to work and my other cousin, my sister and I relaxed at Peppertree all afternoon. It was so fun and we had a great time just chatting and chilling. And we did something we had been meaning to, we recorded the first episode of our podcast! More on that soon.
Night
By the time we headed home it was past 6pm. We got home and I had hoped to do some work but was greeted with no electricity. Unfortunately, there was an issue in my area and we had no lights. So, we ate some of our leftovers for dinner as none of us were that hungry. And then headed to my cousins house.
We ended up having such a fun time there. We watched TV, talked some more, had some snacks and he even gave me this Pikachu toy to keep me company.
At around midnight we headed home and I went straight to sleep after doing a bit of work (our WiFi was working) because we still didn’t have any electricity. It actually came back the next day as it took them a while to fix the issue.
