My Dream Home

My Dream Home
Source: https://theagrotechdaily.com/grown-your-farming-business/

I don’t share responses to WordPress prompts that often but I didn’t have anything to post today and this one caught my eye. My dream home is something I think about a lot so I guess that why it stuck out to me. I did have another post in mind for today but unfortunately couldn’t finish writing it on time so it’ll be posted tomorrow.

The one thing I love more than anything is peace and quiet. The second thing I love is nature and animals. So, it’s not hard to realise that my dream home would be a house on a farm. I have always wanted to plant my own food and live off the land. Plus, I would be able to adopt lots of animals with no other home.

The farm could be like an animal sanctuary and I could grow everything I need to survive. The best part is that I would be able to live peacefully, many kilometres away from everyone else. I’d do my own thing and not rely on anyone. I would spend lots of time with the animals and growing everything I need. I think it would be a very fun life. Now I know farming is challenging but I think I would get the hang of it over time. Just me and the animals and my blog of course, lol. It would truly be the perfect life for a wallflower/cliche eccentric introverted writer like myself.

What would your dream home look like? Let me know in the comments located below. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. I live on that farm, Pooja. I’ll have to think a while on what could be better.

    1. I don’t think it could be better than that, I think you’re already living in the dream house.

  2. Nice one❤️💕💕

    1. Thanks so much 💕😊

  3. I always wanted to have a dog sanctuary, where I took in old dogs for their last days.

    1. That sounds really sweet, a nice way for dogs to spend their last days.

  4. My dream home … That’s a very good question: I want a small house with a garden in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to stores, hospital and airport. I have to be not far from a big city, and, yes, with good Internet connection please… Big kitchen and lots of light preferably

    1. That sounds lovely. I think being next to the hospital is one thing that keeps me from moving to a farm.

      1. I totally understand Pooja

  5. A lovely airy home with a deserted beach (without anything that stings or eats me) out the front, and bush out the back and at least an hours drive to the nearest town.

    1. That sounds so relaxing, a nice way to live peacefully by the ocean.

  6. Your dream house does sound peaceful ❤️.

    1. Most of us wants that 😊

    2. Thanks so much ❤️

      1. I was just trolling 😅🫣

Dropping a hi is not my style.
Unless the post is not of my interest 😛

        1. Hehe I know 😅

  7. Jk 😛
    Here’s my response:

My home was my dream house until 20 years ago.
Reason, it has garden, it’s where I grew up. It has good space. Like we can do many things here. Proper access to sunlight, birds visited us
The garden gave satisfaction and most importantly there’s peace.

    But now 😔
There’s no such thing. I mean we do have garden but there’s no peace because someone or the other is there to disturb that peace. There’s a dance classes just next door, they always disturb.
With growing population, the road got a lot busier, there’s always disturbance. There’s temple near home , earlier it was place to get calm, no days people made it a circus and play loud music in the name of worship.

Then can’t sit in garden for long as there’s some idiot smoking on the load, plus there are another idiots who are burning plastic and cursing.

So my dream home is just like yours.

    I need peace, no humans
    Just some nature
Some calmness and a touch of satisfaction.
Sometimes I wish I had a village to run away
I’m comfortable without any modern hotch potch

    1. I’m sorry your dream house was ruined by so many people around now. People are the problem lol. I was to move to a farm too but I can’t since there is no proper medical care around such areas.

      1. You share a lot of places on Instagram
I would like to live somewhere like that.

        1. Nairobi is nice but the taxes are wild.

  8. oddy I like where I am…..small, cozy, room for the family, maybe a reno or two, but maybe this house somewhere else….on or near water, and a forest with lots of trails, but too far away from a major city….

    1. That’s really nice, I would like a forest with lots of trails too.

  9. That’s a wonderful vision! To be in nature, surrounded by animals, not reliant on anyone else…😍 I’d love that too, but put me in an A-Frame cabin in Northern Michigan, surrounded by pines and birch trees. Ha! 🌲

    1. Thanks so much! Hopefully, we both get our dream home one day! 😊

      1. Haha, cheers to that my friend! 😁

  10. pretty awesome… Yea I definitely has those days and the prompt comes out to rescue me. A dream home has always been on my mind and design. I was hope I can make it to that moment.

    1. Thanks so much. I truly hope you get your dream home one day.

  11. I want a fortress of solitude like Superman has. I want mine way up in the mountains. Way, way up. 😄

    1. Lol, sounds perfect. Away from everyone and everything.

      1. Indeed. Nothing but peace, quiet and the most astounding views. 🙂🙂

  12. Sounds like an idyllic place to live. I, on the other hand am living in a house in the busiest city in Punjab, Lahore and live it here. Every convenience at a short distance and a very good hospital right next to us.

    1. I live in the capital city and it’s the same way. Everything is close by which I love but too many people and cars everywhere. I would like some peace lol.

      1. I hope you get your peaceful farm home.

        1. Thanks, I hope so too.

  13. I love peace and quiet as well, but doubt I’m ready for the rural lifestyle.

    1. I think it would be a very big adjustment for most.

  14. My father owned farms and we were bought up on a couple of them as children. Believe me the scenery is stunning but realistically the work is extremely hard. I’ll be happy with our place in close proximity to the beautiful Pacific Ocean now. 🙂

    1. Yeah, my mum grew up on a farm and she tells me that it’s pretty tough work too. I think a place near the ocean sounds lovely too 🙂

  15. a beautiful dream home, Pooja.
    a favoured one too personally…

Here’s to that dream home becoming a real for you…😉🤍

    1. Thanks so much, I think many of us would enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with farm life. Thanks so much 😊

      1. most welcome, Pooja ✨🤍

  16. So good to know this side of you. My dream home is probably on a cliff by the sea, like a happy wuthering heights. who knows- I may be able to haunt it a little bit when I’m gone. And yeah, preferably secluded.

    1. Thanks so much. That sounds really nice. Lol, haunting it sounds fun although perhaps not for the new residence of the home haha.

      1. Maybe it can be good haunting. Befriend the owners, haunt their visitors, just a little bit😅

        1. Lol yeah, like a fun ghost 👻

  17. I’ve recently watched some videos about farm life. Amazing how much there is to learn about how they care for the animals on a farm.

    1. Yeah, it’s interesting. Very hard work but I feel like it’s worth it if you’re someone who enjoys that kind of life.

  18. I think we share the same idea for a dream home! Except I wouldn’t want any animals besides a dog or 2. I’m okay with the birds and butterflies which will visit my garden

    1. That sounds lovely too. No butterflies on my farm though, I have a phobia of them haha. Hopefully we’ll both get our dream home one day!

  19. I think the reality might not be quite as idyllic.

    1. Yes, it would be a lot of hard work but for me I think it would be worth it.

  20. It would indeed be a dream one for any nature and animal lover, thanks for the share.

    1. I think so too. Thanks so much.

  21. I grew up on a farm and would love to go back! People stress me out! We had cows (before my dad had his heart attacks) geese, chickens, cats, and even a few pigs one year! You had to watch where you stepped, but other than that, it was a very peaceful life. We rented out our fields to a local farmer who planted them in alfalfa or field corn (must feed those animals!) and I loved growing up there!

    1. That sounds like such a wonderful place to grow up, I grew up in the city so I really envy your experiences!

  22. Personally I avoid what I feel are invasive nefarious prompts of WordPress, albeit I don’t fault those who do participate. Such farming communities as shown in your photo have always been a more welcoming place to reside.

    1. Yeah, also some of those prompts are weird like wanting to know peoples mother’s maiden names and stuff. If you’re going to steal data at least made it less obvious.
True, I think farmers would make better neighbours.

      1. I currently enjoy residing at 6000 feet in a small mountainside community of less than 3000 people.

        1. That sounds so lovely. I find those sort of small communities to be much nicer.

          1. So do I. I fade into the nuances of the days here like a twilight mist.

            1. That’s exactly the kind of place I want to live in eventually.

  23. That sounds awesome Pooja! I have my house here in NL, that has a huge backyard filled with trees, that I love. It is very quiet out there, even being in the middle of the City! I turned the second bedroom into my office, filled with all the gadgets I could ever need. I am within walking distance of everything I need and if not, the bus stop is right out front to take me where I need to go, as I can’t drive anymore. I am living in my dream home and won’t be moving anymore.

    1. Thanks so much! Wow, that sounds so lovely. You really are living in your dream home (and I think mine too lol).

  24. I could live there, too. In fact, I did, once upon a time. Back in the 70’s & 80’s.
From the comments it seems that many people (at least writers/bloggers) share your sentiments. But lo, we (people) have moved so far away from that way of life – the “Yellowstone Fantasy”. 🙂

    1. Yeah, I think all most of us want is a peaceful and simple life. I hate that we’ve moved away from this way of living. It was hard work but it was honest and good.

  25. My dream home would be a cabin in the mountains where I could enjoy nature. Farming communities are wonderful too where one can be self contained.

    1. That sounds lovely too, I think if I couldn’t live on a farm I would love to live in the mountains as well. You would wake up with a break taking view each morning.

      1. Absolutely, Pooja. Hubby and I have wanted to move to the mountains for years but where we want to live is too expensive. Sigh.

        1. I think that’s the biggest issue for most of us, it’s expensive.

  26. Lovely to see your dream home

    1. Thank you so much.

  27. That sounds perfect, Pooja. May your dream come true.

    1. Thank you so much.

  28. I love what you posted and I must admit, I am living my dream. I left the city about 8 years ago and I live in rural Ontario. After living this type of country lifestyle, I could never go back into the city. Great post and I really hope your dream comes true 🙂

    1. Thanks so much. I’ve only ever visited rural Ontario but it looked absolutely beautiful. I’m so glad you’re living your dream 🙂

  29. A farm? I would not have guessed that of you. I love nothing better than a victorian home with secret passageways and lots of nooks and crannies. Hugs, C

    1. That sounds like a fun house to live in, although old timey houses scare me because I feel like they might be haunted 😅

  30. Lovely post Pooja. I also love peace and quiet but by the sea. My dream house overlooks the ocean so I can hear the waves at night and watch the stars, so definitely not in town (no light pollution). I hope you achieve your dream house one day. 🌞

    1. Thanks so much. That sounds so lovely and relaxing. I hope you achieve your dream house too 😊

  31. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 May you always find joy, blessings, and gratitude adorning your life🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    1. Thank you so much 🙏

  32. You dream house sounds very nice.

There is a listing on MLS for a house on 543.9 acres located 50 mins from Calgary. It is not quite my dream home, but I think I could modify it to suit my tastes🙂. I would probably add a 40X60 foot workshop and maybe an observatory with a 36 inch telescope. I would build houses for select friends and family to share and/or visit, but they would have to be at least 1000 ft. away from my house.

    1. That sounds so lovely. I would like to live near friends and family too as long as they are a good distance away lol. Fingers crossed you can get your dream home someday 🤞🏽

      1. Thank you! I will make sure to build a guest house just for you :).

        1. Aw haha thanks 🙂

  33. Hi and that is a very cool dream home… living on the land.

My dream home? I love the comfort, history and old-house mayhem of living in my sweety’s and my 119-year-old home.

    1. Thanks so much. Oh wow, your home sounds lovely. Hope you guys make many more happy memories there.

      1. Thank you very much, yes we are very fortunate and happy here.

        1. You’re very welcome.

  34. The idea of a peaceful sanctuary on a farm, surrounded by nature and animals, sounds idyllic. Living off the land and creating an animal sanctuary resonates deeply with your love for peace and quiet. Your vision paints a picture of a fulfilling and serene life. My dream home would be modern, set on acres of land, not too far from the city. I love the idea of experiencing both worlds and returning to peace and quiet, much like my family’s current lifestyle. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    1. Thanks so much! Yeah, I think a farm and animal sanctuary is just perfect for what I’m looking for. I don’t want to be near the city having lived that way my whole life.
Yours sounds lovely too. It’s nice you have the home that suits your lifestyle needs.

  35. Hermoso 💕

  36. This is so me i always wanted this but more of a sanctuary fir animals esoecially cats dogs, just what i can handle like the small animals lol
I also wanted a tiny home too
    Very ideal dream home 💗

    1. Aw that’s so nice. Any sort of animal sanctuary would be amazing. Fingers crossed we can both get our dream home 🤞🏽😊

  37. Looks kinda like the farm I grew up on.

    1. That’s so nice, wish I had grown up like that.

    Sounds lovely!

    1. Thank you!

  39. Hi Pooja,
My dream home would be similar to yours, but with a pool because we love to swim. So, peace, land for lots of animals, living off the land, and the option to dive in and cool off are perfect. 💖

    1. I understand, a lot of people love swimming and it’s great exercise. I don’t though lol, I have this weird fear of large bodies of water lol. Hopefully, we both get our dream home someday 💕

      1. I hope you do, Pooja. I’ve had several wonderful homes that I’m grateful for, and now in my life, my perfect hubby and adult kids are all I need. 😊🩷🙏🏻🤗

        1. That’s really great 😊💕

  40. as a fellow nature and animal loving zillennial i can totally relate!! would be ideal to get away from the tech-dominated world & frolick around with some sheep while writing in the sun.

    1. Right?? It would be such a nice change!

  41. I’ve had “let’s move onto an acreage and grow our own food” conversations with a lot of people lately. It’s a great dream. I’ve always preferred isolation and independence.

I hope your book sales allow your dreams to become reality.

    1. Same here, I’m a very introverted person in general and would love to live on my own and be self reliant.

Thank you, I really hope so too.

  42. Love your dream home! Mine would probably be some sort of cute cottage (but still quite modern) right by the beach but with a beautiful English-style garden with lots of flowers where I can grow fruits and vagetables… I’ll have to make do with a city apartment for now though!

    1. Ooh that sounds so nice and peaceful too! Plus, cottages are so elegant and I’ve seen numerous people put a modern spin to them and they look so good. Lol same, stuck in the city for now!

  43. Hi! Thank you for sharing your dream house. I like it. It’s not for me though. I actually used to have a sketch of my dream house when I was 17 but it’s lost somewhere in the pile of lost dreams. My dream house has a pool and a library.

    1. That sounds so lovely too. Maybe some day you’ll get it. I think dream houses are very personal so we all have our own unique ones.

        1. You’re very welcome.

  44. Wow this is the heaven on earth🌎

    1. I think so too, it would be perfect for me.

  45. I love the sound of your dream home. I’d love to own an animal sanctuary, I love animals, too!

    1. Thanks and hope we both get it someday!
