Rebel without a cause
They called him
Blue jeans and white shirt
Leather jacket on top
The signal of youthful rebellion
What a cool cat
Had all the girls swooning
What a way to live
A life without any rules or constraints
Until he finally found his cause
And now he’s a rebel with a cause
To never have a cause
About “Rebel Without A Cause”
I’m sure you guys know Kevin’s NTT challenge by now as I frequently participate. This poem is in response to one of the images he created this week for the NTT post. This image instantly reminded me of the movie, Rebel Without A Cause. You can read more about the movie here. I don’t know if the younger bloggers will know it but maybe some of you guys will. It still has a pretty big fanbase especially because James Dean stared in it.
This poem isn’t like the best writing I’ve ever shared or anything but like with all prompts it was just fun to create. After working on my books and other things, it’s fun to not overthink things and just write what comes to my mind. So, even if it may not be my best work or properly polished, I very much enjoyed writing it.
Hope you guys enjoyed it! Let me know if you’ve ever seen Rebel Without A Cause? Are you a fan of it? Are you a fan of James Dean? Let me know what you thought of this week’s image and poem in the comments below. Or simply stop by and say hi!
