One Word That Describes Me

One Word That Describes Me

What is one word that describes you? This was one of WordPress’s prompts and I found it mildly interesting so I decided to answer it. Also, I really just need an excuse to talk about myself…

One word that describes me… If I had to pick one word that describes me best, it would have to be intense. I think I’m a particularly intense person in most ways. I feel things intensely, I express myself intensely, I care intensely and when I put my mind to something I don’t stop until I achieve my goals. When I love someone or something, I am fiercely loyal but when I’m betrayed I am also quick to hold grudges. And I’m quick to anger because I feel very intensely about things. I have very strong options about pretty much everything and when it comes to morals and values I think I’m especially intense about those.

I’m also drawn to intense things as you may have noticed. I love intense shows, movies, books etc. My writing can be quite intense. But thankfully, I grew up watching South Park, Arrested Development, Tosh.0, Family Guy etc which helped me develop my sense of humour which I think neutralises my intensity a little bit.

Just for fun, I asked my sister what word she would use to describe me. And she said the one word she would use to describe me is authentic. Well, first she I’m like an NPC that just kinda exists in the background but I smacked her and made her come up with a serious answer lol.

So now it’s your turn. Tell me what is the one word that describes you most accurately? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Beauty, one word from me

  2. The word I wish described me is “holy.” The word that’s more apt is “complicated.” Yeah. Just when you think you know me, I surprise you!

    1. Those are both good and I think we’re all complicated in our own ways.

    1. That’s a good one, funny is good.

      1. I’ve been told a time or three Funny is my name

        1. I tried to be serious once and my mirror cracked. So never again

          1. It’s good to have a sense of humour.

            1. I got that and some change

  3. It’s hard to describe oneself in one word but if I had to, I’d say I’m helpful!

    1. That’s so nice, wish more people in the world were kind enough to help others!

      1. I try. But sometimes people don’t want to be helped 😅

        1. Some people are beyond help so you just have to let go 🤷🏻‍♀️

          1. Very true.

  4. Lovely photo of you.

    1. Thanks so much.

  5. Off the top of my head, I would say “caring” describes me. I care about friends, family, acquaintances, issues, causes, making the world a kinder, better place…it’s enough to drive a person mad!

    1. Caring is such a great word to be. That’s really nice. It’s hard to be kind person in this world but keep being you!

      1. It can definitely be difficult. You get your heart hurt quite often, but after all these years, I guess that’s just who I am.

        1. Yeah, you can’t change that part of yourself.

  6. It’s funny that I just thought about it, and now you are asking for one word to describe myself. My mom called me ‘focused’ the other day, it was not a compliment, LoL, my sister said ‘different’ to describe me. My students call me ‘chill’, my husband calls me ‘confident’, I guess I’m a mix of all these, it’s either a ‘different focus’ or a ‘chill confidence’.

    1. I’d take “focused” as a compliment no matter how she meant it lol.

      1. Haha, I agree, it’s a good approach

  7. This question was one that I, along with 3 friends, challenged one another to answer back in high school. We had to describe one another using only one word. It was “intensely” challenging for me and the others. I wish I could remember what the others said, I only really recall that it was a satisfying experience because my friends really thought it before answering. Now to your answer – I would describe myself as persevering.

    1. That sounds like a fun challenge with friends, I’ll ask my friends the next time we hang out. Persevering is a great one.

      1. I would love to see a post about their response. Take care.

        1. Will definitely share their responses.

  8. Trustworthy. Many years ago a friend told me she felt very comfortable around me as if she had always known me and would trust me with her life.

I have often been called nice.

The other day when I was telling someone about a new idea I have for a book, they said I was weird, lol.

    1. That’s a very nice compliment, I know how hard it is to be comfortable around others so if she’s comfortable around you it means you’re nice. Weird is not bad, most successful writers are weird ahah.

  9. That’s a tough one to answer… maybe “complicated”? LOL

    1. Lol, that’s fair. I think we’re all a bit complicated.

  10. Oh you are intensely lovable!!!

There are many words that I would say that describe you.

Before telling that, need to allude that the pic in the starting is flawless. I almost forgot about the post.

Anyway, coming back to the topic. The word the describe you the best is “Queen”
When I first noticed your site in 2021. I thought she’s like a queen, way above anyone. Untouchable, very classy, she might not even respond, as you have massive following then already.
I talked to you first on IG, you were super helpful. You guided me.

When I learned more about you, I learned that you also have characteristics of a queen. A Queen with a lovely heart. You are not just pretty outside, but also a gold from inside.

    1. Thanks, I don’t think I’m a particularly lovable person so that means a lot!

The lighting was just really good when I took the pic lol!

Aw, thanks. So sweet of you to say and glad I was nice to you. I’m generally very friendly unless someone pisses me off.

      1. You were not supposed to mention that last line ☺️

Let’s keep it this was that you are friendly always. 😁🥕🍎

Have you ever been angry or annoyed with fellow blogger?

        1. I get annoyed when bloggers leave comments saying “follow my blog” but they don’t follow me or support my blog 😡

          1. Oh that’s fun 😄

    1. That’s a good one to be.

  11. Good to know more about you. Moody is the word that best describes me.

    1. Thanks. Well, to be fair most people are moody so it’s not a bad thing.

  12. I have to admit wouldn’t know how to describe myself in one word. But for you, intense and authentic, those are great words.

    1. Yeah, I thought one word is a big challenge too so I wanted to try. Thanks so much.

  13. Sleepy. Cause I can sleep anytime anywhere lol

    1. Omg for real, I literally can’t function without a nap these days 😫

  14. People also tell me that I am intense. I prefer to say I’m focused. 🙏

    1. Lol yeah, I think intense is a good thing because it means you give your goals your all 😅

  15. Most writers have to be intense, that’s what gives us our edgy vibe.

    1. Oh absolutely, I think creative people in general tend to be very intense.

  16. LOL – that’s a lot of words! I think my word would be – QUESTIONING

    1. Questioning is good, always question everything!

  17. How do you like those prompts? I turned them off as soon as I could when they first came out (oh man, that was another fiasco. you couldn’t turn them off / hide them at first). It was like wordpress was trying to steer what I wrote and it really got my back up. I see lots of other bloggers using them though….

    1. I think some of the prompts are unnecessarily intrusive but occasionally I like to try the more “fun” ones when I have nothing else to share. Yes, they’re popular because WP pushes them and you get more traffic/likes when you respond to prompts.

  18. Just one word that would describe me overall? “Loving.”

    1. That’s a great one to be, wish more people would be “loving”!

      1. I do, too. 🙏🏾💙

  19. Floccinaucinihilipilification

    1. Lol, love it. Can relate.

  20. Creative comes to my mind. The NPC comment greatly amused me.

    1. My sister can be occasionally amusing 😅 Creative is good, creative people are always my favourite.

  21. Afred Adler suggests “gemeinschaftsgefühl” for an ideal person and “not” for everyone else. Anyway, I can’t see anyone described by one word. “Born” or “Absurd” “Prompt or Late” “Lost” “curious”
I’d say that some prompts are nonsense and invalid. Void.

    1. Yeah but occasionally the prompts are fun haha.

      1. Yes true. Sometimes it can lead to wild extrapolation and innuendo

    1. To each their own.

      1. huh well yeah avoid the letter after m !

  22. I would also use intense to describe myself. Also soft spoken and positive 🙂

    1. Aw, that’s nice. Positive is something I haven’t mastered yet.

Maybe it takes intensity to be authentic! <3

    1. Maybe so! 😊

  24. hmmm … Not sure the picture of you reflects “intense”. Maybe Cool girl? Or Sad girl?
    ~ Me? = Open.

    1. Oh, I was in pretty intense pain the whole day I took that picture lol.
Open is good, it’s the opposite of me.

        1. I wasn’t having a particularly good day and my shoe choice didn’t help.

  25. Passionate, one word for me. <3 Love authenticity tho!

    1. Aw, that’s great. Having passion for things in your life is amazing. Thanks!

  26. I am the kind of person whose emotions run deep, finding immense joy in the smallest moments and feeling sadness over the slightest setbacks. Every emotion touches me intensely, painting the canvas of my life with vibrant hues of feeling. My love for my family surpasses all else, their happiness becoming my ultimate priority. I would willingly sacrifice everything to see them smile. So when I asked my sister to sum me up in a single word, her response was unexpected : “Tenderhearted.” 🤭

    1. That’s such a sweet response from her and you sound like you’re very in touch with your emotions which is great.

  27. That’s a good choice. Intense, that is (I don’t know what the deal is with your sister). I don’t think I did well at this. At first I thought “sedimentary,” and doesn’t that sound boring. Then I thought “layered,” which is dull. Then I thought “motley,” which I guess I’ll go with. Complements my eclectic personality and attitude. Not to mention my fashion sense. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

    1. Thanks so much, my sister likes to be annoying haha. An eclectic personality is not a bad thing, in my opinion that just makes you extra fun. Most of my friends could be described as being eclectic and I love them for it. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! (I almost forgot it was today!)

  28. Radiant… Beautifully captured with honest expression, being true to yourself…
    Always be happy and blessed🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    1. Thanks so much, be blessed too 😊

  29. I can relate to intense and authentic too but I think the word that most accurately describes me is curious. I want to know about most everything. Fun question. Glad you posted it!

    1. Thanks so much! Oh, curious is a great one. It means you probably know more about the world and life thanks to your curiosity.

  30. Warm, fun, compassionate, beautiful, empathetic, raw, real, energetic.
    💓
OK BUT YOU SAID ONE WORD.
    How about supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!~!!!

    1. Lol, you win with that one! 😅💕

  31. I can understand intense, Pooja, and I can see authentic too. For me, I have 3 that I’ve heard: beautiful, gracious, and caring. 💖

    1. Thanks so much. Oh, that are all so nice and I can see you being all three 💕

      1. You’re welcome, and thank you! 🥰🩷

        1. You’re very welcome too 😊

  32. from what we know about you through your writing and shares and interactions… “intense” fits so well …💫🤍

    1. Thanks so much 😊

      1. always a pleasure 🤍🌷

  33. Intense is good! I’ve long admired your ability to state goals and then consistently work on them, we all know that’s my greatest weakness, haha. I loved Tosh.0, too. It seems like the Internet was so different back then, now I see the same videos shared over and over. Joel McHale’s show on Netflix more recently was great, too.

Great selfie, you’re positively glowing! Also, I don’t think I knew you had tattoos.

    1. Yeah, the internet was a different place back then and I sort of miss it. Tosh.0 is such a classic, loved that show.

Thank you, the lighting was weirdly on-point in that restaurant lol. Yup, I have three tattoos 😊

  34. Sensitive

    1. I can relate to that one.

  35. Intense is a perfect word !! Add authentic and you’ve got an ingenious rarity and completely compliments you. Pooja <3 your pic gives me Dreamy which I would love to describe myself. My niece called me a Dork once … so there's that !!

    1. Aw thank you! Dork isn’t that bad lol and I can see you being dreamy from your posts so I think that one is pretty accurate!

  36. I am holy and serious, but there are more words to describe me. I am also caring, genuine, funny, and quiet. I could say that I can be complex given what I am thinking at the moment. I think that there are many words that could describe all of us.

    1. Yes, I think we’re all a mix of multiple things. Thanks so much for sharing yours.

      1. You’re welcome.

  37. Intense and authentic–seems like you would have made a great attorney. Blessings to you, Pooja.

    1. I almost get a law degree but eventually decided to study history instead after two years of studying law. Thanks so much.

  38. i think my fam would call me intense and i would not call myself that but i do see it lol
thats nice you can ask ur sis and she’ll give you an answer i think if i asked my siblings they would laugh at me and walk away lol
p.s i love ur eye makeup!

    1. Lol my sister laughed too but I bugged her till she answered.

      Thank you!

  39. Very nice.

    1. Thanks so much.

  40. Yeah well I have a few more words for you from my pov but thankfully you didn’t put us on the spot with that question 😅
Well for the last couple of years, the people who don’t know me well(gals mostly) have called me hot. It may sound like tooting but as rarely as the ‘what do you think about me’ question/implication comes up, that’s the opinion I’ve gotten like 5/5 times.
The people who know me a bit say I’m very “English”. I’m often guilty of speaking the same way I write 🤕. I do try to dull it down🙏🏾

Okay I’ve over shared but I don’t think many others will read this.👋🏾✨

    1. Haha thanks 😄

Hmm that’s very interesting, I’m learning more about you. I speak like that too but only sometimes because I don’t want to sound overly polished.

      1. Haha, I dull it down if it’s with work and people who I know won’t get me. But with friends and family, I give them the unadulterated version. They have to take me as I am.

        1. Lol of course, that’s what friends and family are for.

  41. One word… Yes! 😉

    1. Haha love that response! 😄

  42. I cant come to terms that one word can ever describe a person 🥰

    1. That’s fair, I think we’re very complex creatures 😊

  43. Astute but impatient 😊.

    1. That’s an interesting mix 😀

    1. Can relate.

    Interesting!

  45. You know who you are and I appaud that. My word would be passionate!

    1. Thank you, passionate is a great one for you!

  46. Intense can be a very good quality, especially if you want to fully experience life and/or accomplish worthwhile goals. My Kindergarten report card said I lacked small motor skills but that I had the best sense of humor in the class. I would have liked to have been primarily smart, athletic, or even handsome. But most of my friends and family describe me as “funny.”

    1. I’m usually the “funny” one too, it’s not a bad thing to be. Funny can get you far because your charm isn’t tied down to looks etc.

  47. This is a really good prompt. I like your answer and it seems to fit your writing style really well. I think for me (I’m cheating a little bit by using a hyphen) the word is “truth-seeker.”

    1. Thanks so much. Ooh “truth-seeker” is a good one. I can see that for you.

      1. You’re welcome! I’ve always been one to go down rabbit holes, or deep dive a topic. I was watching shows like “Unsolved Mysteries” as a little kid.

  48. Oneword that describes me? Emotional. Yes. Very emotional. Xo

    1. That’s a really great one, it’s good to express your emotions.
