April is the cruellest month… That is the beginning of T. S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land. The reason I picked this poem is because it reminds me that even though April signals new beginnings, for some of us nothing changes. It’s just the same thing all over again. And that’s how I feel sometimes. Not always, just sometimes. Especially in your twenties I think because you’re stuck in a weird place in life.
Most people love April, it’s the start of the warmer seasons, holidays and more. For me, I’m not a fan. April is the cruellest month for me most often because nothing ever seems to go right. Especially because it’s my birthday month. That’s right, I’m a Taurus.
As you may have guessed, I’m not a fan of my birthday. I’ve never had great ones minus a handful of them I had as adults. Mostly, because every year my brain (which hates me) seems to love to fixate on all the things I thought I would assume which I haven’t. But considering I’ll be publishing my book soon there are hopefully not too many regrets this birthday.

This year, I’ll be twenty-seven. That means I’m closer to thirty now than I am to twenty. Which is both terrifying and exciting.
What are your plans for April if you have any? Are you excited about anything this month? What are you looking forward to this month? Anyone else an April baby too? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply just stop by and say hi!
