Blogger Interview With E. S. Foster

Blogger Interview With Rita

Recently, I invited bloggers onto my podcast and have been interviewing some wonderful people. Today, I wanted to share my Blogger Interview with E. S. Foster. But before we get into that, my apologies for being M.I.A today. I’ve been a bit busy so I wasn’t able to check your blogs as I usually do. However, I will try to stop by tomorrow. But I want to take a moment to thank you all for your overwhelming support on my last post about my book.

Back to the podcast, I sat down and chatted with E. S. Foster about a number of interesting things. She is currently working on her Masters at the moment and is going to be pursuing writing. We also talk a little about blogging, long-term goals with writing and of course some fun questions like what our favourite tv shows are at the moment. Do check out the interview, it was really fun to create and talk to her. And so show her site some love and support as well. I’d really appreciate you taking a minute to go over and read her posts too.

  8. E.S. Foster,
Thank you for doing the interview Pooja. It’s interesting that you were inspired at the age of six to want to do a picture book. I think when I was 6 – 8, I would have wanted to write except that I was discouraged by critical and angry teachers. In those days, there were no computers (and no spell-check). Teachers did not want to answer questions and said things like “go to the library” or look it up in a dictionary. I was too shy to ask a librarian and the one time I asked a question she sent me to the adult sections to look it up, and I didn’t understand any of it. By the time I reached 3rd grade my reading skills were doomed to failure and embarrassment. So I gave up on English and wanted to do science…
I’m glad you’ve given yourself 10 years to begin your novel. I don’t think I have 10 years left. But at least I don’t have to go through the entire letter of a pocket dictionary trying to find a spelling with the right vowel or George Bernard Shaw’s spelling of “fish” as “ghosi.”: trough, women, confusion. Well, anyway, I’m working on a conlang so I can make up my own rules.
Good luck with your dissertation. It sounds intensely difficult, even more than the Spanish Inquisition although it’s purported to be only psychological torture with no laughing allowed.

    1. typo: I meant “with Pooja”. I added the change of who I was addressing at the last minute.

      1. No worries, thanks for commenting.
