Blogger Interview With Zahraa

Blogger Interview With Rita

Today, I wanted to share another Blogger Interview. This is my Blogger Interview with Zahraa. She is a fellow blogger and she’s located in Africa like me. But she’s from South Africa while Kenya is in East Africa. She has a blog called GirlOnTheBus and we chatted about many things including how she came up with that name for her blog.

We also talk a little about the quarter life crisis, blogging, how difficult it came be to find work for our generation, our favourite local slang and so much more. She seemed so lovely and was so fun to chat with. And since we had quite a bit in common I felt like we chatted for quite a while. I think this might be one of the longer interviews I’ve shared. But even though it’s a little longer than my usual stuff, I think it’ll still be interesting and fun to listen to.

She also ended up asking me a few questions which was fun. I’m usually the one asking questions so it was like my turn in the hot seat. And I know some of y’all want me to answer some questions too so this one will be interesting for you. Anyway, I tend to ramble so I’ll stop now and just say do check out her site/blog. It’s really great and she shares posts on a number of topics. If it looks like something you would enjoy do give her blog a follow.

  14. Are you able to track listening metrics on your podcasts? How have they been doing? It’s still something I’d like to try out one day.

    1. Yes, I get all the analytics and I’m happy to say I’m slowly but surely growing. Very happy with the results so far. I really hope you try your hand at podcasting someday, it’s very fun.

  15. I like it when you talk about riding a bus, I have like a dozen of stories to write on this topic, I’m a bit embarrassed to do that because in the United States it’s uncool. I mean if you take public transport you are poor and maybe also homeless. LoL the stigma is real, just fyi I’m not homeless, I’m just scared of driving. Over the years riding the bus stories can be compiled into a volume of 300 pages or so. This is what I miss a lot about Ukraine, all the random people you meet and funny conversations you have with complete strangers.
The best riding the bus story happened to me 10+ years ago, I was taking subway with my coworker (!) we never had to do that because my company paid for the taxi, there was something going on so we took subway, on the way back to the office we walked by the curb where the car stopped and out of it emerged the guy we all knew as he was riding his motorbike in a cool helmet with Mohawk in the blandest office campus of white walls and beige carpet ( boring!) so the guy appeared in front of us, and my friend Saved said: where is the bike? I translated the question. So he joined us walking to the office telling all the crazy stories about himself and his adventures, his family and what not. It was the best thing ever, I interpreted it all to Dave so we laughed and laughed because it was just too funny. This is how we became friends with the biker, such a character he was.

  16. Genial entrevista 💯

    1. Thanks so much 😊
