Blogger Interview With Rick

Blogger Interview With Rita

Today, I’m back with another blogger interview. I wanted to share my Blogger Interview with Rick. Unlike many of the other interviews I’ve shared, I haven’t known Rick for that long. So this interview was very interesting for me. It’s always nice to get to know other people better. Especially when they’re bloggers because no matter what, at the end of the day we have that one thing in common.

In this interview, Rick and I talk about multiple things. We talk about writing, life, blogging and AI. I find Rick’s integration of AI into his content quite fascinating. AI is very new to us in the blogging world even though it’s been around for a long time. Personally, like all things I think there are pros and cons when using AI for your content. It’s not something I do myself so listening to Rick’s experience with AI was quite eye opening for me.

My apologies for my appearance during this interview, I hadn’t really gotten ready or anything because it was initially supposed to be an audio interview but things changed last minute. Still, I very much hope you enjoy it and do take some time to go over and check out Rick’s blog which is linked at the bottom of this post. Hope everyone enjoys the interview!

  6. How to participate in your blogger interview series?

    1. Currently, I’m not filming any more interviews but I will be in August. I’ll let you know then if you would like to participate.

  7. Rick,
I heard you on Lifesfinewhine. I heard that you want comments. I looked at the posting at your “Broken World” sidebar link. I didn’t see a comment box or a link to one. In general I would say that you could show a scene unfolding and then have a dialogue and let the characters speak and show themselves by their actions. I don’t think the whole burden of the story should come from the narrator. I think perhaps when the narrator dominates a story it’s like a single person storyteller talking to people around a campfire. Many stories can be told by characters and action like in a movie. The reader narrates their own imagination by listening to and watching the characters. This is what novels try to simulate by provoking the imagination with words. But the reader’s imagination should dominate it is said. The is what I’ve heard from the literary world. Just one opinion. I can see the outline form of it that AI would give but I’d suggest being more wild and off-script with idiosyncratic characters taking odd twist and turns… I hope you don’t mind this first impression.

  8. Thank you for reading, that’s good advice that I will try to incorporate. Broken World isn’t finished yet. I still have a few chapters to write when I get time. It was going in a direction where I really wrote myself into a corner. This is the current one that I am working on. I like it a lot better.

  10. Brief interview… But I’m gonna go check him out. Love his energy. 👏😊

    1. Unfortunately, due to some technical issues we weren’t able to start on time so the interview was shorter but hopefully he can come back for a longer interview 😊

      1. I visited his blog..started one of his stories..no comments section. Ill have to shoot him an email. All writers love feedback. I do hope he returns for a second crack at it. 👏👏

        1. Oh no, yeah definitely email and let him know.

  11. AI can be helpful as Rick said on providing you with the outlines and writing techniques but if you use AI to create original content then you’re not a creator.
