Leonardo Da Vinci Quote

Quote Of The Day

Leonardo Da Vinci Quote:

Leonardo Da Vinci Quote

What’s Up With Pooj?

For those of you that are curious about my wrist injury, it’s very slowly but surely getting better. Typing isn’t painful for me or anything although my hand is still sore. But cooking has been really difficult. I was making a salad for lunch and dinner today and chopping those veggies really took it out of me.

In other news, I recently finished Derry Girls. Can’t believe there are no more episodes of it. Why didn’t they have more episodes per season?? I now have a Derry Girls sized hole in my heart. If anyone has recommendations for similar shows they enjoyed, please let me know in the comments below.

As for the Leonardo Da Vinci quote, I really like this one because I’m someone who doesn’t like getting out of my comfort zone but have been trying to do that more often. Like even when I want to say no and just stay home, I say yes and do stuff instead. Usually, I’m always glad I did do something instead of nothing. It’s always worth it to do rather than regret.

  1. Get well soon Pooja. I hope your wrist injury will get better soon.

    1. Thanks so much, it’s better today.

      1. Great to hear that Pooja.

  2. I’m a big believer in the quote, in some ways it guided me to do all I have done. We need to do things for ourselves, and if we keep taking even baby steps each day, they add up, trust me!

There were days and weeks I was only able to do baby steps, so that’s all I did for a long while. Then, when I looked back, I saw I had been able to slowly accomplish what I dreamed of doing!

    1. Yes, absolutely. Taking those small steps is how we get to bigger goals.

  3. I hope that you get better soon!
And I too have felt that it is important not to live a passive life, but I can be a huge homebody myself. I’ll do things for work and school but it can be hard to do things otherwise.
I am really loving “Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess”, the debut album from Chappell Roan. I am hooked on it.

    1. Thank you!

Oh yes, Chappell Roan is fantastic, I’m really enjoying her music recently too.

  4. The only reason why I’ve considered watching Derry Girls is because of Nicola. So definitely let me know if it’s worth watching. Right now I’m watching Sweet Mangolias it gives off a very Hallmark vibe that I am welcoming with open arms.

    1. I love Derry Girls but very different vibe from Bridgerton. Try watching an episode or two of Derry Girls because you may enjoy it. It’s very funny. Sweet Mangolias sounds really good.

  5. I agree with the quote, and I’m glad your hand is getting better, Pooja! That song is so good, the harmony is fantastic.

    1. Thanks so much! The song is amazing, I first heard it on Derry Girls and have loved it since.

  6. Take care PG!!

I am not aware about the show

    1. Thank you!

  7. I think it is a good quote. It is so easy to get used to your comfort zone but if you want to accomplish thinks you need to make things happen. On Wednesday I am going to visit a dark site in Oklahoma but during the day. After doing that during the day I can do it during the night. A dark site is a place that is very far from any light, any city, any houses, and roads, and you are not allowed to use flash lights or phones, it is completely pitch dark. It is for amateur astronomy and a way to almost completely escape light pollution.

    1. Oh wow, that sounds great. We have an area like that in Kenya that I hope to visit at some point. Light pollution is a big issue, we miss so many astronomical events due to it. Hope you enjoy your time at the dark site.

  8. I can relate to the comfort zone thing, same here. 🙂

    1. Yeah, it’s a gift and a curse 🙂

      1. Haha ya

  9. Hey Pooja, Derry Girls sounds like a great show. The only Irish coming of age story I know of is Angela’s Ashes, it’s about a boy but if you can imagine yourself as a boy it’s quite entertaining. I always think of my character as a male ever since I was 5 years old. So I can relate to their problems, not all of them of course.
This week I’m listening to the eighties song, let me see, it’s a one hit wonder called Don’t Dream it’s Over by Crowded House. Very nostalgic!
Last week we went camping, it was great yet way too short. Time flies when you have fun 🙂

    1. Derry Girls is fantastic, check it out. You’ll love it. And it’s only a few episodes so not too time consuming. Angela’s Ashes sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.
      Sounds like a good song!
Glad you enjoyed the camping. Yes, time flies too fast when we’re having fun.

      1. I will have to watch it. I also wanted to say that I loved the quote and wrote a blog post in response. Thanks for the inspiration Pooj

        1. Oh that’s great, I’ll check it out.

  10. Glad to hear your wrist is slowly healing! Typing away without pain is a win, but sorry to hear cooking is still a challenge. Hope your hand gets back to normal soon.

    1. Thanks so much, I think it should be fine by the end of the week.

  11. I’m glad your wrist is slowly improving, Pooja. Don’t overdo it.

    1. Thanks so much, trying to take it easy for the next few days.

  12. “It had long since come to my attention that people of
accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them.

They went out and happened to things.”

    1. Exactly, make the most of your life while you can. Even if you don’t leave behind a legacy you at least know you lived a good life. Have a great week!

      1. Thanks!!

        1. Thank you!

  13. Very true…so motivating it is. Thanks. 👏

    1. Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the quote 😊

  14. Glad to hear you have some improvement in your wrist. Remember healing takes time and rest.

I would add to the quote that people with legendary accomplishments inspire a host of other people to aid in achieving visions to revolutionize our world that no one else could see or imagine, sometimes over hundreds or thousands of years. Leonardo Da Vinci was definitely one of those.

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, I’ve decided to not post as much this week so I type less. even if it’s better now, I want to give it some time to heal.

      Oh, absolutely.

  15. I liked that quote. Nothing happens out of nothing, you eventually have to get out and do something. Hope you get well soon.

    1. Exactly, you can’t just wait for something to happen or hope that it does. We have to take steps to make it happen. Thanks so much.

      1. You’re welcome

  16. I hope the wrist mends soon my friend. Don’t do things that cause pain as that’s a signal from your body that it’s not ready yet.

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah, I’m taking it easy for now with both typing and cooking. It’s best to let my hand heal.

      1. Take care my friend. 💞

  17. That’s what I am trying to practice right now. Amazing amazing quote

    1. That’s great, thanks so much.

      1. You are welcome

  18. It’s the little steps into the unknown and uncomfortable that reveals our truest purpose sometimes. Whatever lies on the other side of discomfort is of far more worth than the familiar.
Happy your wrist is improving PoojaG. 🙏

    1. Absolutely, when we take those steps we discover parts of ourselves in the process. Thanks so much 😊

  19. Some people do and some people just think things will happen without effort. Getting out of your comfort zone is how you grow Pooj! Glad to hear that your wrist is getting better!

    1. Agreed and thank you!

  20. Love this quote. Learned so much more about him on my trip to Rome last year. He was definitely a man who did not sit back and we would all be lucky if we have even a fraction of his go-getterism!
I often struggle getting out of my comfort zone until I give myself a dose of tough love (its what works for me) and I just do it. Figure out how you’re best motivated and you’ll be like, “pshh, what comfort zone?!?!”

    1. That’s so cool, what was your experience of visiting Italy like? I’ve always wanted to go there.

That works for me too, sometimes I just need to tell my brain to shut up lol.

  21. That’s a great quote!

  22. Great quote. I hope your wrist feels better!

    1. Thanks, it’s much better today!

  23. I love this quote, Pooja! If we don’t cross inner boundaries then we don’t gain knowledge or enjoy all that life has to offer. I hope your wrist gets better and I know what it is like doing everyday things with pain. I still have issues with my hands every now and then. Take care! 💕

    1. I so agree, to experience life fully we have to get out of our comfort zone.
Thanks so much, my hand is better today. Yes I remember your saying you struggle with that too. It really sucks when the issue is in our hands because we use them for everything.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja. I try to give my hands a break but it’s hard. I found some great exercises to stretch and loosen the tendons. Plus, turmeric seems to be helping a lot.

        1. Oh yeah turmeric is great for healing and inflammation.

  24. Pooja, great quote, and very true. I suppose we all have that inherent inertia…and as you note, we’re almost always glad we made the decision to get off the couch 😂

Hope your wrist feels better. I’ve been watching “Alone,” this reality show where they drop 10 contestants off in the middle of nowhere and the last one left wins $500USD. There’s no production crew, no camera people, nobody. They’re all given a 65-lb camera and film themselves. When they’re done, they use a sat phone to call for a pickup.

It’s fascinating to see how they build shelters, find food and water, explore, talk to themselves (into the camera). This season they’re up in the Canadian Arctic, on the Great Slave Lake, and it’s 20F during the day, plunging much more at night. So interesting!

    1. It’s so true. It’s so bizarre that we enjoy going out but always prefer not to lol.

Thanks, wrist is much better now.

I’ve heard of that show! It sounds really good actually. I tend to enjoy the shows about survival and stuff. It’s interesting to see how creative and intelligent people can be when they need to.

  26. When I was much younger, I read a book called “How to Think Like DaVinci” which gave a lot of tips for growing your creativity in several areas of your life. I don’t think it was possible to follow all the advice in the book unless you were unemployed and had no social life, but some of it stuck with me such as sketching things you see out and about so that you really “see” them.

    1. Hmm that’s interesting. I guess sketching things would force you to pay attention to the details. You should write a book about an artist turned PI who sketches things and find clues for murder cases!

  27. That’s a great quote. Take care of your wrist.

    1. Thank you so much.

  28. Very motivational quote Pooja, these types of quotes are very useful in the day today life. Happy to hear that u are getting alright 👍❤️🌹

    1. Thanks so much, I think so too. Quote really help inspire us 😊

  29. go easy on that wrist, Pooja…
    a great quote…🤍

    1. I’m taking some time off typing and cooking 😊 Thanks so much 💞

      1. pleasure 🤍🤗

  30. Reading this, you pointed about the Comfort zone is a great thing 👏👍

    1. Thank you ☺️

  31. I like the quote. Most often, it is not just luck or handed over but hard work that gets us where we want to go.
My favorite Derry Girls episode was the one in the church with the dog and statue of Mary.

    1. Thanks so much. That’s so true. It takes hard work to achieve our goals.
That episode is hilarious, Sister Micheal makes it so much funnier too. I love the one where they are trying to go for a concert but their parents won’t let them because of the escaped bear.

  32. Love the quote, and this song! <3

    1. Thanks, same here!

  33. Loved that quote

    1. It’s a really good one.

  34. I’m a comfort zone person too, but I do gain a lot from trying something new or going someplace different! Getting there is the hardest part, with anxiety and all.
    Great Leonardo Da Vinci quote!

    1. Same, anxiety makes it hard to get out of the comfort zone. Thanks!

  35. I hope your wrist is better!! and I hope you enjoyed watching derry girls. Have a nice week ahead 🤎

    1. Thank you! I loved Derry Girls, one of my favourite shows of all time. Have a nice rest of your week too 💕

  36. So good to hear your wrist is healing Pooja. 🫶🏼
Derry Girls has been on my watchlist for quite a while now but for some strange reason I keep postponing it 🙈

    1. Thanks so much 😊 You absolutely need to watch Derry Girls- it’s brilliant 💕

  37. Glad to hear you’re on the mend! That’s a good quote — and so she asks herself, “What am I going to happen to today?” 🙂

    1. Thanks so much! Ah yes, that should be our question every morning 😊

  38. I was just listening to the Cranberries last week (bizarre … lol) and the quote like the human, genius! Hope you have a lazy week, of course, coming from a homebody!

    1. What a cool coincidence! Lol thank you, I need my at home time for sure otherwise I get cranky 😅

  39. I love the quote. We have to make our own stuff happen.

    1. Thanks and yes absolutely. Like luck plays a role but so does hard work.

  40. Great quote, Pooja, and I love that song, too! Take care of your wrist and go slow. 🌷

    1. Thanks so much, it’s such a great song! Yeah, I’m trying to type less even if it means posting less often. But I’m almost okay now 😊

      1. I know it’s hard to type less because that’s what we all do most of the time. But I’m glad you’re getting better. 🙂

        1. Thanks so much 🙂

  41. Impactful Quote 👌

    1. It very much is, thank you ☺️

  42. I hope you get well very soon 😊

    1. Thanks so much, slowly but surely recovering 😊

      1. That’s a great news 😊👍

  43. Great quote 🤣😎🙃

    1. Thank you 😊

  44. Did you have your wrist looked at by a doctor?
    Love the quote

    1. Not yet since it’s been healing on its own. I think it should be fine.

  45. Love the quote, still think you need a chef, and glad you are enjoying Derzy Girls.. never heard of it💗..sounds great

    1. Thanks so much! I know you’re crazy busy but if you ever have time, Derry Girls is so worth watching 💞

      1. You’re welcome.. really.. would I like it?

        1. Yes, I think you would love Derry Girls.

          1. Alrighty, thanks … it’s on my list❣️

  46. Love this quote! Thank you for sharing, Pooja! ♥️🌸

    1. Thanks, glad you liked it! 🥰
