Am I Deleting This Blog?

close up of laptop keyboard | Am I Deleting This Blog?

Am I deleting my blog? No, of course not. Did I use that title for clickbait? Duh. Lol, sorry I couldn’t help myself. The truth is, I know I’ve been away for a bit. I haven’t been as active on this blog as I usually am. It’s because I have a lot going on in my life this month both work related and just generally. So, I have been taking more breaks from posting.

For me, I post because I want to and I enjoy it. So, when I’m stressed out and feel forced to share something it doesn’t feel right. And it certainly doesn’t feel good. I promised myself I would never force myself to post because that would take the fun out of it. Which is why I’ve been posting much less recently. Hopefully though, things should go back to normal once October ends. And I may even be able to start conducting interviews again which I’m so excited about.

I think I’ve also just not been motivated to write. After finishing my first novel, second book overall, I’ve been a little burnt out and need of a rest. Thankfully, my lovely bestie Dentmistry is helping me edit even though she’s literally a doctor and super busy. How did I get so lucky??

But this month, other than that I’m pretty much taking things easy and trying to relax when I can even though it’s really hectic right now. I just wanted to pop in and say hi, hope everyone is well! And no, I’ll never be deleting this blog lol.

I recently published my first book, if you would like to read it, please click here.

  1. That’s a big load physically, emotionally and mentally, so taking it easier is a wise idea.

    1. Thanks so much, yeah I think I need some time to relax otherwise I’ll be completely burnt out.

Muchas gracias. Abrazos.

  3. I like how you stay true to your conviction of posting only when you feel like it and want to. It doesn’t feel good to force a post out “just because” but sometimes I think we feel like we need to 🙏 breaks are important for our mental, physical, emotional health 😊

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah, it’s no fun if we force ourselves to post. I’d rather enjoy what I do 😊

  4. Sometimes you need a break. I am looking forward to your future posts.

    1. Yes, I think some breaks are very necessary. Thanks so much.

  5. I hear you on the hectic time! I seriously overbooked myself from now thru mid December. I’m considering taking January off to recover. lol

    1. Oh no, sounds like you’re very busy too. Definitely take some time off if you need to.

  6. Careful…Renard said “never” too, and we all know how that ended lol

Glad you’re taking things with a grain of salt and not worrying about posting. It’s not always an easy road to ride, I know. I wrestle with it constantly.

    1. Lol that’s so true. I was just thinking about him the other day.

Thanks. Yeah, I know you’ve struggled with it too. Like you said, it’s difficult but somehow we always end up back here lol.

      1. Yes, it definitely has it’s moments, no doubt. I think we all go through it – just some of us more than others

        1. Yup, absolutely.

  7. I promised myself I would never force myself to post because that would take the fun out of it

And I hope you continue to stick to that. When you force it, it’s not good.

I will admit, that I had about 2 seconds of “Oh no!” when I saw the title 😀 I’ve seen too many bloggers go away over the years to think it can’t happen, because it can, to anyone. But I am glad you’re not going away.

    1. Thanks so much. Exactly, when you force yourself to do something you’ll just end up hating it. True, so many bloggers have left especially in the last couple of years.

  8. Taking a break can be very good for many people, including we blog authors, Pooja. Enjoy your rest! 😊❤️

    1. Thanks so much! True we all need some breaks sometimes ❤️🥰

      1. Be well my friend! 🙏🏻❤️😊

        1. You too! 🥰

  9. I will never forgive you if you ever consider doing that. 😠

You are the reason why I sticked to the blogging

And hey btw, you are way more active than me 😝
I feel bad because I am writing a lot but not here. Because WP is challenging, you work on a topic so hard and it gets screwed up by WP, you feel bad.

I’m doing a lot of ghost writing, something I never thought I would do.
I’m not posting, not commenting and our conversation is still due.

Your clickbait title got my attention, and dude you did wrong with it 🤨😤🫤

    1. Lol don’t worry I’m not going anywhere. I’ll just be posting less often for this month. Yeah, I’ve noticed you don’t post much on your blog recently which makes me sad sometimes because I love reading your posts 😊

      1. I’m working on few!!

  10. Congratulations for your book 📕 pooja get back soon with your regular posts they are very fascinating 🌺🌺

    1. Thanks so much, hope to be back to my regular schedule by the end of the month 😊

  11. It’s not easy staying consisted with posts. But once a while, breaks are necessary.

I’m off to read your book. Congrats, Pooja.

    1. Yes, it’s really difficult to post consistently. Breaks help. Thanks so much 😊

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja♥️

  12. Take care and rest

    1. Thanks so much 😊

      1. You’re very welcome.

  13. I promised myself I would never force myself to post because that would take the fun out of it

I’m with you on this, though I get the drive to post more. Gotta engage the audience! But I’ve never been about monetizing my blog, or social media in general. I guess I’m not committed to hustle culture.

    1. I’m not a fan of hustle culture either, if we do everything for an income things stop being fun. At least in my experience.

  14. Breaks are necessary Pooja! Take care of yourself, and get some rest.

    1. They are and thanks so much! I’m trying to take it easy this month so I can get back to my normal schedule soon 😊

  15. Congratulations on publishing your first book.

    1. Thank you so much, I hope you check it out if you’re able to.

  16. You fooled me 😂(only for a second until I opened it!). I’m glad you’re not going anywhere!

    1. Haha yeah, I’m not going anywhere dw 😅

  17. It’s a mental health day, I’m glad to hear you are taking care of yourself by not posting when you don’t feel like it.
Good to hear from you Pooj, fall is a busy time of year just like spring 🌼 what are you reading these days? what are you watching and listening?

    1. Thanks so much, yeah I don’t want to force myself to post and then end up burnt out. I’ve been watching a show called Evil, it’s fantastic. I would so recommend it. Also a show called Nobody Wants This, it’s nice. I won’t say it’s great but it helps me relax. I started reading Rebecca and liking it so far. What are you reading/watching/listening to?

      1. I’m reading The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook, it’s blowing my mind, I am going to write about it. Another one is Travels with Charley: in search of America by John Steinbeck, it’s pretty good. The last movie I watched was ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, I liked it. Yesterday we watched ‘Lilo and Stitch’ with the kids in class, it was nice. I recently discovered a band called Boombox, it’s an American duo, electronic rock, funk, chill music, I like them.
As usual I’m cooking a lot and making art sometimes…

        1. That’s really cool. I’ve been wanting to watch Betlejuice for quite a while now. I’m a big fan of the original and heard this one was good too.

          1. I liked it, I think you will like it as well

  18. Self-care is important, Pooja. Rest and refresh. 💐💖📚

    1. Thanks so much 💕

  19. I’m sorry but it’s going to take a lot more to bait me lol I know for a fact that you wouldn’t delete your blog. Not after all the work, labor, and effort that you put into your blog.

TBH I haven’t blogged in a couple of months but renewed my subscription anyways. I know the blog is there when I’m ready to write again. I’m not forcing myself to write if my heart isn’t in it. And honestly it’s just not in it these days. Take a blogging break if you need to and don’t feel guilty about it. Your blog will still be there when you return.

    1. Lol you know me well 😅

That’s good, take some time off and come back when you’re ready to share posts again. It shouldn’t be something that turns into a chore. Thanks ☺️

  20. Girlfriend… Everyone needs a time out once in a while..I’m glad you’re prioritizing you’re peace of mind..congrats on the completed manuscript Pooja. 🙏

    1. Absolutely, breaks are necessary and this month I’m only going to post when I can. Thanks so much 😊

      1. You’re welcome 💜🙏

  21. It’s great to know you published your first ‘anthology’. I wish you the best.

I am starting off as a writer, and the question I often ask myself is, why do I write? If I get the answers such as, for money, for acclaim, for validation, for fame, or even for my ego, I stop writing for a few days.

The only reason I want to write, if there must be one, is for intense personal bliss and happiness. I write my stories, I weave those magical worlds and universes, filled with amazing beings, only to feel a bliss and ‘Anandam’ like no other.

    1. Thanks so much, I hope you check it out if you’re bale to.

That’s so true and you’ll notice that our writing becomes so much better when we write because we want to instead of for other reasons.

  22. 🙏

    Aum Shanti

        1. Take care, I’ve been hearing a lot about the hurricane.

  24. Trust me I know the feeling. I been gamifying my post a bit. I try tapping into new ways to post. Is it bad for my algorithm, mmmm maybe, but the basis I built my blog on was self, fun, connections, and experimenting.

So yes my friend, take that time to recharge and as your growth the goals change a bit, and you do more things with a purpose, and you are definitely doing so.

    You are awesome.

    1. Yeah, switching things helps make us feel more motivated again. Even if it messes up the algorithm, at least you enjoy the content you create. Thanks so much. You’re awesome too.

  25. Glad to hear from you! Take care of yourself, Pooja❤️

    1. Thanks so much! 😊

  26. Glad to hear you are making some time for yourself. I happened to go outside this evening and catch a glimpse of some spectacular northern lights that looked like a 360 degree waterfall of amazing colours. It was relaxing to watch and awe inspiring.

    1. Thanks so much. Oh wow, what an incredible experience. I’ve always wanted to see the Northern Lights, it’s even on my bucket list. It must have been so magical to see.

      1. It was a magical sight to see. The last time I saw them this bright was after a David Bowie concert in 1987.

        1. That’s really cool, it must have been nice to see after so many years.

  27. Pace yourself. You’re on nobody’s timeline but your own. I am glad you are listening to yourself and posting only when you feel the need to post.

Honestly, that’s how it should be. 🙏🏾💙

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah, I generally try to listen when my body tells me I’m tired. I really don’t want to end up burnt out 💕

  28. Taking a break is important, Pooja, and I agree we shouldn’t feel pressured to blog. Blogging is supposed to be fun and not like work. Take of yourself! 💗

    1. Thanks so much, absolutely we should share content because we enjoy it not because we have to 😊

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja.

  29. That’s OK! Even if it seems not OK. I think the urge to post comes along when you’ve not posted for a while. Take time for yourself and get that energy back. It’s quality over quality here. Stay safe

    1. Thanks! Absolutely, I think eventually we start feeling like posting again and that’s the best time to do just that.

  30. We all have times we need time to relax take a break.

    1. Yes, very much so.

  31. Happy when my favorite bloggers are taking care of themselves so that the embers of joy burn on! <3

    1. Thanks, yeah we gotta make sure to take care and not end up burnt out!

  32. In your case, your blog is an intention and a matter of writing because you like it and you want to. So I think you should take a break also when you enjoy and you want to. I don’t know enough about blog dynamics to speak to consequences; Ideally, I’d rather there weren’t any. Person to person, I’d say break when it’s good for you to break. Most of us, I imagine, will be standing by. And I’m glad you have someone trustworthy and supportive editing your novel.

    1. Yeah, since I write because it’s more of a hobby than anything else it’s fine to take breaks. I think it affects traffic a bit but nothing else. And I’m fine with less traffic sometimes.

  33. Sometimes I struggle too to keep my interest going in blogging. I take a big break over the summer months to be “lazy” and work on other projects. 🙂

    1. Yes, it’s a lot of work to come up with new content all the time. That’s great, you can properly enjoy your summer and come back refreshed 🙂

  34. We have to do what makes us happy. You are doing what is best for you. Have a wonderful weekend, Pooja.

    1. Yes, absolutely. I don’t want to end up burnt out. Thanks so much, have a great week ahead.

  35. Hey Pooja, no doubt you are tired out after all that writing! And I completely get needing to feel like you’re not obligated to post something, because that feels like a drag. If I’ve had a low day, I might really want to chill out, or I might want to search for a diversion and research a post. But it’s about choice.

    1. Thanks so much, yeah I think breaks are good because I can come back refreshed. Have an awesome week!

      1. My pleasure, and I hope you have a great week, too!

        1. I did, thanks!

  36. Blog when you have time, Pooja!

    1. Thanks so much!

  37. Makes perfect sense. Sometimes when I’m tired of writing, I concentrate on something different but still in the creative fields. Art and music help me out. I don’t know what would be good for you, but I’m sure you have other things.

    1. Thanks so much, yeah sometimes we need a break from what we do regularly or we end up burnt out. I love art and music too, I’ve been learning guitar while on my break which has been.

      1. Nice!

  38. Pooja G,

I was shocked by the headline. I was like, whhhhy? 😭😭

You will be fine actually. Just take the needed break and come back refreshed.

    1. Haha thanks, yeah it’s just a short break where I’ll post less regularly.

  39. Totally understand, but please never leave Pooja haha. I’m thankful for our friendship. You’re very honest and true to yourself and I love that. Have a great day, hon.

    1. Thanks and don’t worry I’m not going anywhere haha! Have a great week ahead and so thankful for our friendship too 🙂

  40. I had just logged in after so long and I’ll admit it – that title nearly gave me a shock.

Sometimes we need to take a break and come back stronger. It’s never a good idea to force yourself to write. I’m totally with you.

    1. So nice to see you back here Shweta! True, I think it’s totally okay to take breaks when you need to.

      1. I am so happy to hear that, Pooja. Much love. Take care.

        1. Take care too.

  41. It’s okay Pooja…you’re right, our posts are better when not forced 😊.

  42. Hi!

    Don’t delete the blog.
    Do clickbait only…

Oh no, actually write regular posts as always…

    but yeah, do take breaks..
there’s nothing wrong in taking breaks…

I enjoy creating, writing and deleting blogs.
    And here’s a new one…
This one will stay longer…I hope.

    Take care. Stay happy!
(I completed my pg degree in History. I know it’s useless.😝)

  43. Hey Pooja, do not delete this blog! I enjoy reading it and I will miss you if you go away! Keep blogging

  44. Such a good click bait tbh

    1. Haha thanks.

  45. Wonderful ♥️

    1. Thanks ☺️

  46. Wow Pooj, I got a shock when I read the title, I was like, oh is pooj deleting her blog? So I am glad you arent!

    1. Haha yes, sorry about the shock but definitely not deleting the blog!
