Quote Of The Day

John Spence Quote:

John Spence Quote

What’s Up With Pooj?

It’s been an incredibly busy week but in the best way possible. As I’m sure you’ve probably noticed by the lack of posts. But this month it’s more about real life for me, I want to make good memories and have some fun before the year ends. Plus, I’m getting content ready for January. I have so many restaurant reviews and lifestyle posts.

And don’t worry, I’ve also been taking some time to relax and do nothing. Recharging time as I like to call it. I’m not a particularly social person, I’ve actually been diagnosed with social anxiety as a teenager so socialising doesn’t come naturally to me. And taking some time for myself really helps keep the balance between being burnt out and never leaving the house. It’s that sweet spot in the middle.

I had my last therapy session for the year this week, looking back at how awful my year started out and how far I’ve come, I can honestly say I’m really proud of myself. It’s not been easy but the work was worth it. I feel like a brand new person in so many ways.

  1. but that’s my whole philosophy!…….but kidding. I agree, gotta look forward

    1. Haha yes exactly and also we need to always take responsibility for our actions and choices.

  2. I experience social anxiety too, haven’t been formally diagnosed but socializing doesn’t come naturally to me either. It’s funny how people always assume I’m extroverted because of my blog, but I’m 100% introvert. Like you, I need alone time to recharge or I’d lose my mind. I’m happy you’re making time to slow down before 2026 🥳

    1. I know what you mean, now that I make an effort a lot of people think I’m extroverted but I’m an introvert at heart 😅 Thank you so much!

  3. I’m currently re-working my way through Enya’s discography. just finished up Memory of Trees this evening.

    1. Ooh I love Enya 😀

  4. That quote should be on billboards all over!!

  5. That’s so beautiful Pooj! I’m so happy to hear that! Your inspirational strength has really shined through this year through all of the ups and downs! Another words, aka you’ve always been a badass from the start! And now it’s shining through the hardships more than ever before! 💪🏻😀💗

    1. Thank you so much, you are just the sweetest! 💗😊

      1. You’re very welcome! That’s what a beautiful soul such as yourself deserves! 💗😊

  6. Great quote, glad you’re doing better

    1. Thanks so much.

Finding balance, resting, and growing takes courage, especially with anxiety. You should be proud of how far you’ve come. Taking time to recharge is healthy, and it shows real strength.

    1. Thank you so much, it’s been a long road but I’m happy with where I finally am.

  8. Love the quote. Keep up the fun. 🤣😎🙃

    1. Thanks and glad you enjoyed the quote 😊

  9. Good to know you are doing much better 🙂
Glad you are busy with all the fun things happening, enjoy your time with family!

I love the quote, I don’t know if I will ever become who I want to be because I don’t know what it is that I want. I want to be content with everyday life ( done ) and I want to be much needed and appreciated ( done ) . I feel like I want to grow but in reality I am who I want to be here and now. My wants may change and so will I. With age we tend to see things more clearly and choose what benefits us, and also helps others grow.

    1. Thank you so much! One thing I still don’t have is being content with my everyday life, I want to be able to be happy no matter how big or small the day is. Growth isn’t always necessary if we’re satisfied with life, maybe you’re at a place where you feel satisfied.

      1. It’s a very hard question, on the one hand yes, on the other hand, there is always room for improvement. It sometimes helps to give up completely and assume fuck it approach to life. When you don’t give a damn you experience no frustration, or regret. It doesn’t always work but some days I can be this person, completely unconcerned.

        1. I totally understand what you mean, I want to be that level of nonchalant where nothing phases.

          1. Sometimes I get real angry especially when hungry or tired, but even then I forgive myself

            1. I get easily annoyed when I’m tired/hungry too. We’re human, it happens.

  10. The quote is correct! I’m glad that your are getting some Pooja time in, Pooja! Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2026. ❤️

    1. Thank you so much, wishing you and yours the same! ❤️

      1. Thanks Pooja! ❤️❤️

        1. You’re most welcome 😊❤

  11. Revel in your wins! I’m glad to know that you are taking time for yourself and enjoying the rest of the year!

I like the quote and I’ve been listening to a lot of New Order lately. “The Age of Consent” is one of my faves!

    1. Thank you and definitely doing that, I’ve decided to celebrate every win even the small ones! Ooh interesting, I’ve never heard that song.

  12. The video may not be my kind of music but I like the quote. It is pointless to keep blaming others and only prevents you from growing. Other people may have inflicted wounds and held you back but dwelling on that will only hold you back.

    1. Yes, I completely agree- at some point we have to take responsibility for our own lives. We all have our own trauma but it’s up to us to move past them.

  13. 🙏🌹

  15. I would add to the quote, if you are already fabulous make sure to take at least 50 percent of the credit. 🙂 Glad to hear you are making time for yourself. I have been busy getting ready for Xmas and dodging the flu and other bugs. I thought Xmas was another week away so I am really scrambling now, lol. Thank goodness they sell those little scented Xmas trees at the gas station that you can hang from the car mirror.

    1. Haha that’s a good addition 🙂
Thanks so much. Oh gosh, sounds busy and hopefully you’ve been able to avoid the flu.

  16. Blaming others for what’s wrong in our lives is a total waste of energy.

    1. Yes, I completely agree.

      1. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  17. Great quote 💓

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas 🎄 filled with HEALTH and BLESSINGS. Warm regards 🫂🌎🇪🇸

    1. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well 🎄

  18. Love that quote! Taking control is the hardest part of making a change. Glad to hear you’re relaxing and enjoying what’s left of 2025!

    1. Totally agree and thank you!

            1. Just a regular day but a bit more relaxed haha. What about you? Any Christmas plans?

              1. mass and a vegetive state

  20. This quote is so relevant in today’s society.
This last week has been crazy for me as well. I’ve had my 1 year old grandson since Friday since Mom and Dad are welcoming his new brother into the world. My house is a disaster, I have barely anything done for the holiday, and work tasks piling up around me. Tomorrow’s another day, right?

    1. Oh wow, that’s a lot going on in your life for sure. And having a one year old does guarantee that your house will be a mess haha. Either way, I hope all goes well for Christmas and congratulations on a new grandson!

      1. Oh, he’s perfected the art of MESS, lol. Thanks so very much, Pooja! 💞💞💞

        1. You’re so welcome! 😊💗

  21. glad you had a great week, recharging, a productive therapy session, and happy christmas and I hope you enjoy it! xoxo

    1. Thank you so much, Happy Christmas!

Neat quote. Glad you’ve had a lot of growth this year. Though difficult, you made it through.

    1. Thanks so much.

  23. That’s a great quote, and so relevant. I’m glad you are making time for yourself, and you seem more relaxed. A wonderful ending to a difficult year, Pooja. 💖

    1. Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed the quote too. 😊

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja.

  24. Love the quote, Pooja, and I’m glad you’re doing much better. Take time for you and have a wonderful holiday. See you next year! ❤️💫

    1. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful rest of your 2025 😊❤️

      1. You too, Pooja! xoxo

  25. Love the quote! Yes, unless we take responsibility for our lives, we’ll never be able to build what we want to build.

While it may be 💯 true that other people or someone else screwed us over or hurt us to our core, it’s still up to us to be responsible for our own healing and growth.

The people who damaged us will never be the people to help us grow.

    1. Glad you liked the quote! I totally agree, we all have trauma and have been wronged at some point but it’s up to us to process that and move on.

  26. That’s a really important quote. Happy holidays, Pooja. I’ve never been diagnosed with social anxiety, but I definitely relate to those vibes. This year went by really fast.

    1. Happy Holidays! Yeah, I think socialising makes a lot of us uncomfortable. True, this year has felt like a whirlwind.

  27. Eeks, might be guilty a bit with this quote … but I love the introspection! What a transformation this year has been and looking forward to next year’s – full speed ahead! Wishing you a glorious season 😀 and for the new year to bring everything you are dreaming of ~ <3 !!!

    1. To be fair, a lot of us are guilty of this but the important thing is to try our best to change. Yesss so looking forward to next year and wishing you the same! ❤️
