Six Word Story:

Letting go, starting anew, seeking happiness.

About This Six Word Story:

Am I losing it? Maybe. I literally forgot to edit and schedule this post and now I’m in bed in the middle of the night frantically typing and trying to publish. Crazy. I think I just need some proper sleep lol. I haven’t been sleeping well lately. Anyway, apologies for any typos I’m doing all this on my phone.

Back to the SWS. This is the first one of the year and the first one I’ve shared in quite some time so I thought I would share something positive and more uplifting.

I rarely ever think, new year, new me. But this year does feel like that. I genuinely feel like a new person and I also feel like I’m in a much better place mentally and spiritually than I was last year. And for that I’m of course very thankful.

In 2026, I want to focus on doing things that bring me happiness. I want to start over and become the person I always wanted to be but was too afraid to work towards becoming. And that’s what this SWS is all about.

What are your hopes for 2026? Do you think this year will be better than the last? Let me know in the comments section located below because I would absolutely love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi! And do share your own SWS in the comments too!

I recently published my first book and would be very honoured if you took a minute to check it out here.

  1. I plan to be playing some good guitar and travelling more

    1. All the best with those goals. That sounds great.

  2. This is not an exaggeration, but I’m quite literally on the same path and trajectory as you! Which is so freaking cool! I applaud you for your courage to take on this journey! I’m so happy that this is where you’re heading! You’re so freaking awesome! That never quit attitude that you have will take you as far as you want to go! This is so great! 👏🏻😀

    1. Aww thank you, you’re just the sweetest! Wishing you the same, may this year be the best for us yet!

  3. Love this blog and glad you’re in a better space! I plan to never settle for less than I deserve and enforce new boundaries this year!

    1. Thank you so much and that’s awesome, hope you’re able to do both in 2026!

  4. I’m hoping to be more self disciplined and consistent with my routines. I’m also hoping that this year is much better than last year but to be seen.

    1. I have hope this will be a much better year for us all. That’s great, hope that happens for you in 2026.

  5. I hope 2026 will be a better year for me! I hope you get to be the person you want to be!

    1. I feel like it will be better for us all and thank you!

  6. Feeling like a new person at the start of the year is a good thing. In your situation, you’ve been doing the inner work to make that possible, so this isn’t just a proclamation on your part, drum roll, “This year I’m going to be a new person!”, but it’s the quiet affirmation of what you’ve already been doing. Starting a new year can feel exciting because you’re on a learning, growing trajectory, so it makes sense that come the end of 2026, you won’t be the same person who started the year! Bravo!

Wishing you, your family and each of your readers a wonderful year filled with happiness, prosperity, joy and awesome weirdness!

Enjoy being you, spread your wings, start something fun!

    1. Thank you so much. Yeah, I think I put in a lot of work last year and it’s come through. This year is going to be different, I can feel it.

Thank you and wishing you the same!

  7. Well 2025 may not have been a good year for many but I am hoping 2026 will be better, or at least not worse, but about worse, as someone said, 2026 may say “hold my beer”. In any case I wish you a great 2026 filled with success.

    1. Fingers crossed 2026 will be better and not worse lol. Thanks so much.

  10. Every year is a chance to do something new or different. I am realizing that nothing has been wasted, even though it sometimes felt that way. You have planted seeds that will blossom into something beautiful in the future version of you. So yeah, like you, I want 2026 to be a new challenge, a new garden bed being planted… fun times ahead.

    1. I agree, I think whatever happens we at least have a chance to learn from it. Thank you so much and may your 2026 help us both achieve that 😊

  11. Compassion, kindness brightened the entire world. Your SWS sounds like good advice. I believe every year improves on the previous one even though sometimes we may not realize it until many years later. Sometimes you have to go back a little to find the way around a difficult mountain but it is still progress.

    1. Love that six word story and thanks so much. Yes, that’s true. Even the difficult years teach us good lessons.

  12. Good idea, branch out, reach goal.

    1. Yes, absolutely!

  13. Inspiring 6 word story, Pooja! Every year has something to offer; we just have to find it and do the best we can to reach our goals.

    1. Thank you! I totally agree.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja!

  14. Not to sound a boor, but what would have happened if you had put your phone down and not posted this? Would you have been ok with that?

    1. Yeah, I mean that would have been fine. It’s just I had just promised myself I would post more regularly on WP this year and the post was mostly done so I decided to go for it.

  15. I’m at an age where reinventing myself seems too much of an hassle. I’d just like to be healthier and not need anymore surgeries.

    1. That’s totally fair, I hope you have a healthy and happy 2026.

      1. Thank you so much dear friend

        1. You’re very welcome 😊

          1. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼

  17. Nice. It does say it all!

    1. Thanks so much!

  18. Take some time
    Clear my mind
    Find another reason why🎶

  19. Those 6 sounds like a great springboard for 2026!

  20. New Year. New beginnings. Same me!

    1. Haha yup, that’s me most years!

  21. Pooja, sounds like a plan! Wishing you the very best in 2026 and may you find the happiness you seek 😎🙏

    1. Thank you so much and wishing you the same!

  22. Sums up a great attitude in a very uncertain world! Nice one!

  23. I’ve been hearing a lot about hope for 2026. Maybe it’s a sign of good things to come.

    1. I have too and I think it is.

  24. Sounds like a good plan

  25. Good luck with your intentions and I hope you find help for your sleep problem. That’s a tough one on the body over the long term.

As for me… I hope to regain more of the fitness I lost during my nasty bout of Covid in 2024. I’m feeling closer to it, and that’ll be a focus, as well as continuing to work on mind-body stuff to add more calm. And listen to more (and more varied) music!

    1. Thank you, I’ve been using CBD oil for the sleep issue for the last two days and it’s been helping.

That’s a great goal, so sorry to hear about the covid- it takes a toll on us and I feel like the fatigue lasts for a long time. I’m excited for the music posts you share this year!

  26. I love the Six word story and your feeling so good about the life you have created!
Ask me in February lol 😉🙄😂 I’m in family overload! ❤️

    1. Thank you! Lol I think you actually need a year off after the holidays 😅😅

      1. You’re so very welcome! HAHAHA I was just thinking at least a month but a year works too.. lol

  27. Hey Pooj, kudos for seeking happiness. The whole life is a big quest for it, one thing we forget to do sometimes in the pursuit of happiness is to pause and feel it.
As for 2026 I hope for big travel adventures, more love, less fear. I think it will be different from 2025 and it’s not entirely a bad thing. Variety is good 😊

    1. Thank you so much. I agree, we very often forget that. I wish you all the best for this year and may you be able to travel even more 😊

  28. Love the 6 words. Have a great New Year! 🎊

    1. Thanks and you too! 😊

  29. A good SWS Pooj! I hope this year you can be that person who you’ve always wanted to be! I also wanna do things that make me happy this year, that is one of my overall goals too. xx

    1. Agreed, I just feel it in my heart that this year will be an amazing one for us all!

  33. I believe this is a year of dominion.
2025 was rough, I truly felt the pruning in my life. But it taught me powerful lessons and marked a season of deep spiritual growth. Now, as I step into 2026, I boldly declare fruitfulness, increase, elevation, and everything God has for me. I pray the same for everyone who’s reading this comment. Happy New! 🎊

    1. I feel the same way about 2025 and I truly believe we’re a new version of ourselves in 2026 having learnt so many lessons. Have the best 2026!
