Quote Of The Day

Steve Maraboli Quote:

Steve Maraboli Quote

What’s Up With Pooj?

I was complaining about the weather being too hot a couple of weeks ago. January and most of February was extremely sunny and I hated leaving the house. Hot weather always makes me depressed and asocial. But over the last couple two weeks, the weather has cooled down a lot more. It’s been so beautifully cold, rainy, and dreary. It’s my favourite kind of weather and I’ve been much happier and more energetic now.

In other news, I tried the viral Japanese cheesecake and honestly I thought I would hate it but honestly I loved it. It was so good and even low-key reminded me of cheesecake (maybe because I used a vanilla flavoured yogurt). I tried it with both Oreos and Lotus Biscoff Biscuits and the one with the Lotus biscuits was definitely the best. Would absolutely recommend it if you’re looking for a slightly more healthy dessert option. It’s high in calories but not as high as actual cheesecake and it has lots of protein from the yogurt. This is the recipe I used, it’s quite simple and easy:

  1. Great quote, so true

    1. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

  2. Hey Pooj, great quote.
It’s warming up here, everything is starting to bloom. I am sort of reluctant to go traveling but this week we are leaving for Europe. This is the plan! It’s +18 degrees Celsius in Paris

    1. Ooh that’s exciting. I hope you have a lovely time there and 18 degrees doesn’t sound too bad. I’m sure it’ll warm up even more soon.

      1. Fingers crossed

  3. my life has been pretty much just been stumbling forward……or tip toeing through the graveyard of bad decisions…but at least moving forward

    1. Yeah, I think a lot of people feel that way.

  4. Hi Pooja!

Regarding Weather, here in India, we are transitioning from the Winter to the Summer season.
I am happy that you are receiving rain at present, with reduced temperature. I too often don’t leave my home when outside is too hot.

I like the recipe you shared. It is interesting.
    Will try.

I relate to this quote. Purpose gives you better insights than raw ambitions.
Ambitions change with time, whereas purpose is there to stay.

    1. Yes, summer will start soon for you guys. Hot weather is exhausting to do anything in. Thanks so much, I hope you try the recipe. It’s delicious. True, purpose and ambition are important but purpose is what stays with us most.

  5. Great quote! It’s (hopefully) going to start warming up here in Indiana again soon. But first we have to get through a couple storms. I’m ready for the summer heat. Also, that yogurt cheesecake looks delicious!

    1. Hopefully, the storms will pass quickly! It’s so good, I would really recommend it.

  6. a great quote, Pooja …
seems the sunny days decided to give you a break…😋

    1. Haha yes, I’m so glad they did 😅

  7. I am craving cheesecake for some reason now, lol. Lately, I think our primary purpose is to keep the government funded through paying taxes :). I have never really felt courageous.

    1. This is your sign to get some cheesecake lol. Well, I think that may currently be the primary purpose they want for us but we can always rebel 😅

      1. We can rebel, but the gov’t always wins, lol. Can you tell it is tax season here?

        1. The worst season of all lol. Thankfully, we have till June.

  8. 🙏🌹👍

    Aum Shanti

  9. A great share Pooja

    1. Thanks so much.

      1. You’re always most welcome

    1. Yay, hope you two enjoy it. I would recommend using a flavoured yogurt instead of plain though. It makes it even better.
I hadn’t heard this song in so long and then it randomly popped up on my recommended and I’ve been listening to it all last week. True, I love that the internet allows us to share our culture with others and find common interests.
Enjoy the cheesecake/yogurt- let me know if you two like it.

        Dear Pooja☺️🙌

  11. I’d say: push ourselves, seize every opportunity; get out of our comfort zones; experience everything; reach our full potential – that’s life!

    1. Yes, life is so short we have to do as much as we can!

  12. I tried this last week on my break at work. I think your option may be better with the vanilla. It wasn’t bad at all.
And I have not heard hootie and the blowfish in ages. They are still performing.

    1. A flavoured yogurt takes it to another level, it was so good. I’m glad they’re still performing, I thought they had broken up after Darius Rucker went solo.

      1. Yeah, they toured as a group again in 2024 or 25. I remember a colleague taking his wife to one of their comcerts.

        1. That’s so cool, I’m glad they’re still doing that.

  13. What if I don’t want to be ny greatest self. It’s too much work. Being the greatest idiot is much easier.

    1. As long as you’re the greatest at something 😅

  14. Oops I forgot the. 🤣😎🙃

  15. Excellent quote, and one I strive to live up to. Sometimes, it’s not that I’m courageous, but things work out in my favor. I haven’t heard Hootie and The Blowfish in eons, and thank you for sharing.

    1. Same here, it’s something I hope to live by and I finally feel like I’m finding my purpose. I hadn’t heard anything by Hootie and The Blowfish in like 5 years but was excited when this was in my recommended and have been listening to them all of last week.

Nice quote. The Cheese cake sounds wonderful.

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, it absolutely was.

  17. Love the yogurt/Biscoff combo – brilliant! Glad you are getting weather to your liking, Pooja!

    1. Yesss it’s so good! Thanks so much!

  18. Liked the quote very much! And this yogurt cheesecake thing looks so yummy. I’d definitely try it soon. As for the weather, you’ve got some respite, but here in my country, weather is gradually getting hotter each day.

    1. Glad to hear that! Yes, do try it- such a delicious treat. But I’d recommend using a flavoured yogurt instead of plain.
Yeah, I hear it’s summer there but hopefully it won’t be too harsh.

  19. I appreciate your description of the cheesecake, your enthusiasm for it. Looks good as in literally looks good, too. The quotation is appealing and I think might go over well especially for a team. I’m relieved the weather has turned better for you. I hope you have lots of more comfortable days. We seem to be in the transition time from winter to spring. Temperatures go up and down, though mostly up. We’re not there yet, but a few days ago there was a blue moderate day to enjoy.

    1. Yeah, it looks as good as it tastes. Yes, the quote is really inspiring/motivating. I’m glad it’s getting mostly warmer and hopefully spring will come soon enough.

  20. I would have gladly traded for that hot weather in exchange for the cold temperatures we’ve had this winter!

    1. I can imagine, I hear winter has been particularly brutal this year 🙁

      1. but the end is in sight 🙂

  21. This part of the world – UK, in January and February we had one sunny day, the rest was a downpour! Great to see some daffodils and the herald of Spring 🙂

    1. I’m glad Spring is coming and the flowers are coming back too 🙂 Hopefully, less rain and more sun for the next few months.

  22. Loved the quote.

    1. Glad to hear that.

  23. Looks delish! And you know I understand the heat thing. Give me gloomy over scorching any day!

    1. Yes, exactly!

  24. In regards to the quote…it would be nice if that purpose was clearer!

    1. Lol agreed!

  25. Too hot, too cold, too dreary for me.. lol but glad you’re happier in the cool. How can I visit now! 😂

    1. Lol thank you and don’t worry it’s rarely cold for long here! 😅

  26. Too cold here, but soon it looks to be getting milder. I like the quote – it kind of says it all, doesn’t it?

Good song choice. It was overplayed at the time but as with anything, the goodness returns when not hearing it for a while. This week I’m listening to a lot of stuff (as usual) but among it all, several songs by the Toronto, Canada new wave band Spoons. Big in the early ’80s, still together and rumoured to be working on a new album. “Romantic Traffic” is one of my faves of theirs, as is “Nova Heart.”

    1. Glad it’s going to warm up soon. That’s so interesting, I don’t know much about that band will definitely check it out!
