Revisiting Cultiva Restaurant Nairobi

Revisiting Cultiva Restaurant Nairobi

We decided to revisit Cultiva Restaurant again because we enjoyed the food so much last time. In fact, I think Cultiva is probably my favourite restaurant in Nairobi. You can read more about Cultiva on their site.

Of course, I wanted to share the experience with you guys again because we did end up trying some new dishes. You can watch the video version of our experience on my YouTube channel:

Aesthetic

It’s a really lovely place. The restaurant is quiet, lots of plants everywhere, has fresh air. The aesthetic is really a 10/10.

The Menu

As you can tell from the menu, Cultiva Restaurant has lots of options for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions/choices.

The Food

The food, what can I even say. It was as amazing as we remembered. Seriously, the BEST food you’ll get in Nairobi.

Vegan Food Options In Nairobi Kenya

We started with three servings of loaded potato fries because honestly that’s what we were there for. They have the best fries in the world and I know what I’m talking about when it comes to fries. The waiter was like are you guys sure? The fries are a big portion and usually shared… And we were like, nope we’re sure. And you know what? We finished all three servings.

We also ordered these seitan tacos which we loved last time. They were so perfectly seasoned. My cousin ended up ordering one more before we left lol.

We tried this sweet corn for the first time and although it was a bit simple, it was still quite nice. It was very fresh.

We got this wild mushroom skewer and although I’m not a huge mushroom fan, this was quite delicious. Again, simple but really enjoyable.

Vegan And Vegetarian Mushroom dishes

Lastly, we got the cauliflower and “drag through sauce” which was such an underdog. I love cauliflower but am very particular about how it’s cooked/seasoned so I wasn’t sure if I would like it. But in the end, it was probably my favourite. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce had crunchy sesame seeds etc. which made the texture perfect.

Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed this post. I certainly did although it made me want to go back lol.

    1. My mouth was watering while writing this post lol. The food at Cultiva is always exceptionally good and they grow a lot of their own produce and are very environmentally conscious for sure. They also have cute cats around haha. Thanks, I’ve been trying to wear more colour and also wanted to match the restaurant 😅

  13. Looks amazing 😍
Loaded potato fries are my favourite love seeing the varius creative ways they are presented….
Havent seen a mushroom kebab for… a part of me keeps asking you can do that? and the other part is of course silly why would they 😂…. I didnt used to like mushroom, but once I aqcuired a taste for them I love them in every shape and form, now I have a new one to pursue.

PS the sauce looks very artsy like a painting… I’d almost not want to eat it, at least until taken a photo 😂

    1. It really was and the mushroom skewers are very popular in Kenya. I’ve had them at multiple restaurants and they’re always very good. Would totally recommend. The presentation of everything was so good it felt like a crime to eat it 😭

  21. The first photos make me want to be there. Which means, among other things, that they are good photos. The food looks attractive and delicious, the photos (again) coupled with your narrative.
