On Sunday, I received an unexpected review that I want to share with all of you here.
But first, let’s go to the beginning. Back when Perfect first came out, I reached out to a lot of reviewers on social media and in general. Among those reviewers was Alicia.
She was so kind and bought a copy on her own. It had been a while since then and I didn’t know if she had read and/or that she would be sharing a review. I assumed she was probably busy, as we all are.
Well, on Sunday I checked my TikTok before lunch to find her review posted and it was very positive which made me so happy. As a writer, all you want is for your reader to genuinely enjoy your book and knowing that someone did enjoy reading your book is the best feeling. She reads a lot of books in this genre and is very honest in her reviews so receiving a positive review from her means a lot to me.
Thank you for this unexpected review, Alicia! As an indie author, it’s not easy finding reviewers that will take a chance on a lesser known book. Reviewers like you make it worth the effort it takes to market our books!
