Sharing A New Art Piece

As you guys know, I’ve been loving getting into art and doing some drawing and oil pastel art instead of scrolling mindlessly. I mentioned on one of my older posts that I was currently working on a picture of Roger from American Dad!

This was one of my favourite scenes from the show and I also wanted to challenge myself with the art. Usually, I follow online tutorials but this time I decided to do everything from scratch.

I drew outlines for everything which took a while because as I’ve always said, I’m not much of an artist. Once that was done, I began the painting. Unfortunately, I didn’t have exact colours but they were close enough.

It was tedious creating something from scratch but it was also a lot more fun. I ended up taking almost a week to complete it but it was time I spent actually doing something instead of staring at a screen and that is something I count as a win.

This is the original image from the show:

And this is what I ended up with:

I’m very happy with how it turned out. Is it perfect? Nope but as I’ve always said, it’s not about perfection for me when it comes to art. I just want to have a good time and not get brainrot by thirty lol.

What did you think of it? Are you working on any art? Let me know in the comments!
