Zen Proverb:
My thoughts on the above Zen Proverb:
I wanted to share this particular zen proverb today because I think it really highlights the mindset I am trying to adapt. A lot of misery, at least in my own opinion, is due to people forgetting to be grateful for what they have and appreciating what the universe has given them.
Of course, none of us are perfect. We are sometimes overwhelmed by negative emotions. We may feel envy, jealousy, anger or even hate towards someone that has something we do not. And that causes us a lot of pain. In fact, it’s such a disservice to ourselves because we become so focused on others that we forget ourselves and on our own journey.
When we stop expecting the world to hand us everything we want as though it is owed to us and instead begin viewing all we are given as a gift, we can find true satisfaction.
What are your thoughts on this Zen Proverb? What are you listening to this week? How was the last week for you? Any plans for this week? What positive thought did you start your day out with today? Do you make sure to spend some time every single day being grateful and appreciative for all the things you have been blessed with? Let me know in the comments section located below because I would absolutely love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!
