The room was filled with flowers
Absolutely perfect for lovers
It was such a beautiful sight
Even now in the darkness of night I
appreciated the beauty of it all
Just like the first time we had danced in this hall
We had danced past midnight
Holding each other tight
You hold me in your arms just like before
Our feet floating slightly above the floor
That night you had promised me forever
And you promise me the same a hundred years later
Even death could not do us part
For we had been dead from the start
About “Forever and Always”:
Forever and Always is a poem that had been rumbling inside my head for a while and I finally decided to share it on here. I think about eternal love often, mostly because I doubt I will ever find it. But I know it does exist for some, they are with the person they want to to spend eternity with. And I think that’s truly beautiful. That’s what inspired this poem. Even in death, there are those that will be happy together and will hold one another hand through eternity. It’s an amazing thing to find your soulmate.
What did you think of this poem? Are you with someone you think you’ll spend forever with? Let me know in the comments section located below because I would absolutely love to hear from you! Or simply stop by and say hi!
