Boho Eatery Review And Experience

It’s been a while since I’ve done a travel/lifestyle post like this one. The truth is, they take longer to create because I have to deal with the images etc. And now that I’ve been trying to get into YouTube, I also have to create the videos that go along with my travel posts. However, in my opinion, the hard work is worth the results. Anyway, today I will be sharing my Boho Eatery review and experience.

Boho Eatery is a restaurant in Nairobi that specialises in whole foods. Their dishes are clean and healthy. Unfortunately, it’s pretty far from where I live. But recently my bestie visited me and we were in the area anyway so we decided to stop by. Honestly, I’ve been trying to go to Boho Eatery for ages but nothing seemed to work out till this day. The vibes were just on point.

The Food

We went there for lunch and the host was so sweet. He made jokes and showed us to our table. The table was just gorgeous and I loved the nature vibe. We ordered drinks to start with and look at how gorgeous they are:

I forgot what they were called, I’m sorry lol. It’s been a while since we went. Mine was some kind of orange cocktail, DentMistry had some pomegranate drink (girl let me know in the comments if you remember the names of the drinks) and my sister had something? I’m sorry this is the worst review I’ve made so far lol.

Next we ordered some starters. We got the vegan pakodas with a sour tofu dip and the vegan mushroom dumplings. They were both incredible. Like honestly, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Although for anyone looking to order the dumplings, just know they have a strong garlic flavour. I love that but I know it’s not for everyone so just a heads up. And the presentation for the dishes was off the charts. Literally gorgeous.

For the main meals, we ordered the vegan Spicy Black Bean Tacos and my sister got the vegetarian dosa. They were both amazing and the tacos were the best I’ve ever had. So delicious. Not really spicy though lol. But I have pretty high spice tolerance though.

We talked for a while and ordered more food as we usually do. I got some passion ice tea and vegan cheesecake and they got some coffee ice cream and mango ice cream. Apparently they were amazing and the cheesecake was incredible too. It tasted so fresh. I will say it didn’t taste like real cheesecake though. But it was delicious so who cares.

The Ambiance

The ambiance was amazing. We loved sitting out in nature and everything was so beautifully decorated and kept. And we even had a little visitor while we ate:

We had a lovely time getting some sun and fresh air:

Final Thoughts

We had such an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal, the place was amazing and it just had the best vibe. I would so recommend this place if you are ever in Kenya. But just a heads up, it is on the pricey side. I think it’s great as a treat but not so much as a regular joint. If I had the money thought, I would just live here lol.

What did you think of this Boho Eatery review? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below because I would love to hear them or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Can we talk about how AESTHETICALLY PLEASING these photos are?!? 😭 So, so pretty! 🤎 Looked like a wonderful experience, and the food looked tasty. 🌿

  2. The experience at Boho seems pleasant.
    I am happy for you.

The place is beautiful and serene, I wonder how’s the locality.

The food looks delicious, especially the pakoras 😋. I’m amazed to see the dosa.
I never tried cheesecake, now I want some. 🥺

Also, thanks for sharing your YT video. I’m sorry for not being much active there, but I’ll surely watch it and drop my review there.

Overall, I’m happy to see you happy. I don’t know why, I was worried by not seeing you here yesterday. You told everyone about your health and I was wondering if you are doing well.

    1. Thanks so much, yes it was gorgeous and a lovely experience overall. I’m glad you enjoyed the post and saw your comment on YT.

I just skipped the day because I was busy creating the video etc. I’m okay with my health for now.

      1. I’m glad that you ade healthy now.

You certainly enjoyed at Boho 😝
        I’m ecstatic to see it.
You aging reverse or what? How come you look younger and younger in all the pics?? 😁

Well atleast you know that was me on YT 😝, that’s my old account, back then I was nicknamed duke 😂

        1. Haha thanks and yes Boho was such a treat since the food was healthy and clean 😋

Lol I wish, I’m definitely aging but not in reverse 😅

Haha yes, I recognised your name 😅

  3. Wow, the place and food and drinks all look and sound amazing! Thanks for sharing your experience there. I love the nature vibe.

    1. Yeah, it was so cool in the heat and it looked good too! It’s not rare in Nairobi but it’s also not common so this was a nice experience.

  4. A very comprehensive review of the eatery. Beautiful pics of eatables and the eaters. Wow!
However, I am pleasantly surprised to hear about Pakoda in Kenya. Really? Was that an Indian outlet? How come a subcontinental dish finds its way in Kenya? Maybe, it has assumed a universal appeal and acceptance. Anyway, from drinks to desserts everything looks yummy. Looking forward to more such reviews Pooja.

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, pakodas are quite popular here. Since Indians have lived here for over a century Indian and Kenyan foods are sometimes integrated at restaurants. Also, you can’t go with fried food and everyone loves it haha. It was not an Indian outlet but I believe one of the chefs there is Indian.

      1. That makes sense. Pakodas are loved by all, so they have assumed the status of a universal item now. Then, you must also be familiar with kadi pakoda, i.e. a gravy dish containing pakodas.

        1. Yes, I have tried kadi pakoda which is delicious although my mum has switched to making the pakoda for kadi without frying them. I think most fried foods are universally loved haha.

  5. I watched both of your videos. I think they’re great. You didn’t sound nervous to me. Great post review. Everything looks great. It looked like a quiet place to enjoy yourself. Glad you had a good time. I have a surprise to share when it is finished. I have been working on it for a week now. I can’t wait until I finish it so I can post it. I will let you know when I do. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks so much. Really appreciate that. It was definitely a wonderful place and we had a great time. Yes, do let me know I’m excited to know what it is. Have a great week too.

  6. The location and food both look fantastic and It’s fantastic that vegan menu’s are becoming much more high quality. I tried vegan Katsu steak made from cauliflower and I think it tasted just as good or even better than It’s chicken counter part.

    1. Thanks so much and yes I am so happy about how many vegan options are readily available now. I’ve always wanted to try vegan katsu, it looks so delicious but I haven’t seen it offered anywhere in Kenya. Maybe someday. I’m glad you had a great experience with it though. I think a lot of vegan dishes are very delicious if people go in with an open mind.

  7. Lol girl I’m even surprised you remembered what we ate, forget remembering the names of our drinks lol. All I know was I had one of the best day of my life, Boho eatery will deffo be a special memory. And this just made me miss you so much more! ❤️ 😭😭

    1. Girl, I literally checked the names on the menu online cos I forgot too but they didn’t have the drinks menu online 😅
Same, definitely one of the best days for me too and of course I miss you more! ❤️😩
