5 Things That Make Me Happy

Things That Make Me Happy

I recently came across a post by Devang from FGW about things that make him happy. He had invited fellow bloggers to join in and share posts about things that make them happy too. And I thought for a change I would stop whining about everything and be grateful for the things that make me happy. Although, to be clear, whining does make me ecstatic. It’s just that I think it’s time to talk about more of my interests rather than whining. So without further ado, here are five things that make me happy:

Friends And Family

Things That Make Me Happy

My friends and family are what make me the happiest. Spending time with them is always a pleasure. As I’ve mentioned in an earlier post, I am spending more time which my cousins which has been fun. I am also incredibly happy when I spend time or converse with friends. I’m sure you know DentMistry from my many lifestyle posts that feature her. She’s the best friend a girl could ask for and has the kindest heart! I’m forever grateful for friends and family!

Books/TV/Music

I am someone who likes to keep myself occupied. And books, movies, TV and music have always been my favourite methods of tuning out from the world. I talk about this quite often on this blog so I’m sure you’re not surprised that I included these here.

Food

Honey And Dough Review

Food makes me so incredibly happy. Ever since I went vegan, I have been so much more experimental with my food and it’s been fun. I’ve been sharing a lot of recipes and what I eat posts so you guys know the kinds of dishes I have been enjoying. Food is definitely something I am very grateful for.

Animals

Things That Make Me Happy

I love animals so much. There is nothing I love more than spending time with animals. It makes me so happy. They are so sweet, innocent and pure.

Work

This Is Not A Test Post... AKA WP Strikes Again

This one might surprise you but yes, work is on my list. I’m a freelancer for those of you that don’t know and I love my work. I love writing, I love blogging, I love helping others with their blogs and social media, I love reading tarots and everything else I do. These days, not many people do what they love. And not many people can say that they love their job. I am really grateful to have the privilege of being able to do what I love every day. I don’t know if I would be this satisfied with any other job. Of course, all this includes my blog too and I am so happy when I blog. I can’t even describe how much I love my Lifesfinewhiners!

Conclusion

So, those are the things that make me very happy. If you haven’t read Devang’s post, you absolutely should. And shoutout to him for starting this positive prompt. Today, I want to end by asking you to share what makes you happy. Either share it in the comments below or write a post of your own about it because I would love to read your answers.

        1. That’s wonderful. It took me a long time to change my mindset and become more optimistic but it does work if you keep at it. I still wouldn’t say I’m an optimist but I’m no longer as pessimistic.

    1. Thanks so much. It’s good to remind ourselves to be grateful for the good. It’s easier said than done though. When I have a depressive episode everything looks bad.

  1. Animals… they are better people than most people. In fact they are on this world to teach us and remind us how to be better people. Every primary school should have Animals in the classroom

  2. Well my favorite blogger has written this now I am happy. 😊
    😁
These are some great things. Small but very impactful. And we don’t need fancy things to be happy, it’s just around us.

      1. What I found funny is you said

You recently came across my post. As if you weren’t reading it anyway and accidentally stopped 😝.

        Next time you feel low

        Look in the mirror 🪞
There’s a beautiful girl on other side. Think of her, how precious she is. You need to make sure to make her happy.

Other way of feeling high could be going level 24. 😝

        1. I did actually come across it accidentally cos it was on the top of my Reader 😅 Usually I specifically look for your posts by searching your blog but this time it just happened to be there!

Lol nope, Level 24 is too expensive 😫

  3. Lovely share, Pooja.
.. and so true that these days many do what is needed to do without taking the time to do what they want and love to do.

a great share from Devang too.
    🤍

    1. Thanks so much. Absolutely, so many do what they have to but don’t enjoy it. I find myself lucky to be able to do what I love daily.

  4. A lot of common things on our list but definitely food is high on my list of things that make me happy! I also think sunshine on a bad day makes me feel happy. You know those crappy days and you walk out into the sun and bam, it suddenly uplifts your mood.

  5. There are lots of things that make me happy. I need to curate the list and blog about it. I’m happy I’m flying back home to my love, I can’t wait. He is my number one source of happiness

  6. I appreciate a good whine. 😅 There’s an art to doing it without being a drain on everyone and you’re definitely not a vampire. People connect more over similar complaints; I think I read that in a very trustworthy book somewhere.

  7. well said, always remember to count those blessings too, as we can be blessed in more ways than we realize at times. I especially agree with the fifth one, as many people do not enjoy their work as they hate it, but they should. It’s true you might not start off doing the job you want, but work towards the job you want to do and enjoy it. There is no purpose in doing a job for 30 years, but yet hate it.

    1. Absolutely, it’s important to be grateful for the blessings we have.
So true, I know so many people who hate what they do but do nothing to change their situation. I’m so lucky to be able to do what I love.

  8. My five:
    – spending time with my sweety
    – cycling long distances
    – listening to and writing about music
    – food
    – an afternoon snooze in the screened porch

  9. Hi Pooja. How have you been? I missed blogging in the month of August. But now I am back.
5 things that make me happy are – family, dogs, indulging in any creative activity like dancing/writing/reading/ baking, shopping, and listening to few stand up comedians really makes me happy.

    1. I’ve been good and hope you have been well too. I did notice you weren’t around this month and I am happy to see you back now. Hope you had a good break.

  10. Great list and love this post, Pooja! Mine are family, animals, writing, reading, and backpacking. You’re so lucky to love your job because you’re right, not everyone is in that happy job boat. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks so much! Those are great and backpacking sounds so fun. I want to travel a lot more in the future. Thanks and have a great weekend too!

  11. Family and friends usually top the list.😊

    What makes me happy.
    1. Family & friends
    2. Knowing that God is on my side.
    3.Work
    4. A good movie/series
    5. Any form of literature.
    6. Cooking a tasty meal.

  12. This is such a nice and positive post! I would love to put “Work” on the list of things that make me happy, but alas it is not the case ahah! I think I completely share your list, and would also add “Learning new things” and “Sunny days” to it!
