Rebecca Wells Quote

What’s Up With Me?

It’s been a very busy and exciting week for me. I can’t tell you everything about it because some of it is a bit of a secret that shall be revealed at a later day. Yesterday, a very close friend of mine from Canada called me and we chatted but the call was cut short due to the time difference and it got very late here. So, we were only able to talk for only about an hour. However, since today is not very busy for me we decided to pick up where we left off and have a chat tonight (afternoon for her).

Her and I met at university and became close friends quite fast as we’re very similar people. And even though she decided to stay in Canada and I moved back to Kenya we still remain close. We try to chat at least once a month for a few hours so that we’re up to date with everything going on in each others life.

She has a pretty tough job and does not get too many days off but she had yesterday and today off so thankfully we’ll be able to chat properly. We did talk like two weeks ago but you know how life is. There’s always something new to talk about.

So, that’s what is going on with me at the moment. What’s up with you? Did you enjoy this Rebecca Wells quote? Let me know in the comments section located below. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. I’m glad that you and your Canadian friend are able to chat, Pooja! It’s so amazing, isn’t it? Consider the distance and the technology used. 😊

    1. True, it’s amazing and I’m so thankful we have technology like that 😊

  2. This quote, “What’s Up With Me?”, delves into a universal theme: personal growth and self-awareness. By posing this question, the speaker encourages reflection and introspection—an essential practice for everyone, aiding in a better understanding of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Regarding my personal experiences, the week proved productive, particularly concerning my health. I hadn’t devoted much time to my family previously, and even less to the internet. Now, I find genuine happiness in spending time with my family, fostering a more balanced approach to life compared to before CET. Furthermore, I made significant progress on a project I’ve been diligently working on.

In summary, my week was both productive and brimming with growth opportunities. Taking a moment to reflect on life’s occurrences and contemplating ways to enhance ourselves is always a rewarding practice.

    1. I’m so glad you had a good week and I hope it continues that way. Growth is so important and so it being productive. I’m so glad CET is helping you enjoy your life more.

  3. This quote speaks volumes. It is absolutely true, life is short. This is why we must cherish every moment as if it were our last. Life is a precious gift and we take it for granted. As for me, today was good. Getting ready to study. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks so much and I thought so too when I read it. I’m glad you had a good day and hope your studying goes well. Have a great week too.

      1. So far I am passing all of my exams. I will be so glad when I graduate.

        1. I’m so glad to hear that. How much longer till you graduate?

          1. I am supposed to graduate in April. I want to be finished before then, but I am not going to rush. I am taking it one day at a time.

            1. That’s great, only a few more months to go.

              1. Yeah. It’s amazing how I can still do my work as sick as I am. This cough has not left. I hope these meds will help me to get better.

                1. So sorry to hear that. Consider getting an inhaler if the cough persists.

                  1. I have three, but lately it hasn’t been working. I was prescribed steroids for coughing because I am allergic to some of the medication in the cough syrup. It’s just been a lot since I became a year older. I just do not know what to think about it all. Hopefully my doctor can do something to help me get better because it is stressing me out. I am just tired of being sick. I do have faith that everything will get better so I can fully concentrate and sleep at night. Thanks. I will keep you informed.

                    1. I’m so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately our body gets resistant to most medicine over time and that may be the case for you. Have you tried face steaming and putting a hot water bottle on your chest for about an hour to two hours a day? That’s how I got rid of my stubborn bronchitis when medications didn’t help.

                    2. I hadn’t thought about that. I will try it. Thanks for the info. I noticed something just now. I was singing one of my favorite gospel songs and I didn’t cough once, and my breathing was fine, as to where last week I could not carry a tune. I wonder why it’s like that. As soon as I try to go to sleep, that’s when it all starts up again. It doesn’t make sense to me though. I am going to look into it. I will let you know what I find out.

                    3. I think lying down makes the cough worse. It was like that for me too. Talk to your doctor and hopefully they can figure out a way to get rid of your cough permanently.

                    4. Yeah, it does make it worse. I tried raising my pillows, but that didn’t help either. I tossed and turned all night long.

                    5. Sorry about that, I really hope your cough goes away quickly.

                    6. Me too. I am tired of it.

  4. This is the best description of your friendship. It is a beautiful quote😊👏👏🏼🤗

    1. Thanks so much 😊

  5. My contribution…

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.

    ~Aeschylus~

    1. I like that quote, it’s very honest and I think something many of us have experienced. At least those of us that have been through painful experiences.

      1. I would agree with your wise assessment. Thank you.

  6. This quote, “Life is short, but it is wide…” Wow! I love it! 🌺 I don’t know how to describe how right it feels: a sort of blossoming of joy, recognizing that we are in the midst of life, the wonder and miracle of being, loving, learning … Thank you for sharing.

    1. I’m so glad that quote spoke to you and I very much understand what you mean. Thanks so much 😊

  7. Oh yes, so good to connect with old friends.

    1. Absolutely, we had a great chat.

      1. 🩷😍🥰

  8. Such a good quote. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it 🙂

  9. So nice to be able to connect with old friends. I find as people get older, it becomes harder to stay connected and have time for each other!

    1. Yeah, it was lovely. That’s true as adults we have a much harder time staying in touch but it’s nice when people make an effort to do so!

      1. Yes. Especially when we as adults move away from childhood friends, get married, or have kids. We have less free time.

        1. True, it’s so hard when we’re adults and have other responsibilities.

  10. Thank you for sharing such a thought-provoking quote. This too shall pass” is a timeless piece of wisdom that provides comfort and perspective during challenging times.

    1. Thanks so much. I agree, it’s a really comforting way to think of challenging times.

  11. Some friends are for life no matter how often you meet up, if ever.
As for the quote I thought it was referring to me – short and wide.
Day 5 of the move! The big day!!

    1. I so agree, she’s one of those longterm friends. Good luck with the move!

  12. Good thing is you guys are still friends, even after so many years, and catch up with each other.

    1. Yes, I mean it’s only been like two years since we last met but we both make an effort to stay in touch which is so nice 😊

      1. That’s great
Recently I met an old friend after 8 years.
        I talk to him frequently.

I have few online friends, whom I’ve never met, but I have bond with them, even without meeting.

I think if person invest similar energy and time as you, then that friendships can last longer.
You can see that energy within first conversation.

I’m amazed that, they are even more people who know real you 🙂

        1. Oh that’s nice. It’s always fun to meet a friend after so long.

True, I have some online friends I’m close to as well.

Yeah, I think if you both make an effort to stay close friends it can be done.

Lol, yeah I’m not very popular in real life but have some very close friends I cherish 😅

          1. Good to know. You may not be popular but very classy 😁

Efforts needed to be both sided

            1. Aw, thanks 😊

  13. That’s so good you two are still staying in touch. Based on my personal experience I know it’s a struggle. The best ones always stick around tho. Hope the next few weeks are better for you 🙂

    1. Yeah, it’s so tough to keep friendships when we get older but the ones that care stick around for sure. Thanks and hoping the same for you 🙂

  14. My dad used to say “this too shall pass” all the time. I try to remind myself of that when I miss him.

    1. That’s a great thing to remember when times get tough. Nothing is permanent. Your dad sounds like he was great.

      1. He had his moments.

  15. I love the quote and it reminds me of my mom’s favorite saying “this too shall pass”. That’s wonderful you could connect with your friend. All has been status quo in my life, thus far. 💟

    1. I love that saying, it’s so accurate especially for hard times. Nothing is permanent in life. Thanks so much 😊

      1. You’re most welcome, Pooja. When my mom used that saying, it seemed so soothing. 💟

  16. Lovely quote. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks so much.

  17. I liked the quote.

When I am going through something stressful I try to think of what will it matter 100 years from now.

    1. That’s a good way of thinking of stressful situations. Even an year from now it may not matter at all.

  18. ahh i like talking to people like that, i remember i had a friend who i talked to on the phone sooo much but after a while we didn’t hang.. then once i did again, i felt like they changed for the worst as in the way they treated me wasnt very friendly? idk if i should talk to them and tell them how they made me feel was lame, bc i kinda miss them lmfao!!! oh adulting…
i liek the quote def agree with that!

    1. Yeah, some friendships evolve and sometimes we lose friends we were once close into. I had a friend like that whom I was friends with since high school but she started being unfriendly too and didn’t make any effort to stay in touch so I didn’t either. Adulting definitely sucks!

  19. Kudos to you and your friend for both making time to catch up with each other!
Thank you for sharing the quote. I needed that today!

    1. Thanks so much, so glad the quote helped!

  20. It’s a good quote to remember when things are tougher.

Great that you and your friend could connect. I remember when it was impossible to call overseas without paying a fortune for the phone. As for me, I’m missing chatting with a couple of friends in the USA. Both have younger families that keep them occupied.

It will be exciting to learn what your news is when the time comes!

  21. a wonderful quote shared, Pooja.

    so friendships… so lovely 🤍✨

    1. Thanks so much 😊

      1. most welcome 🤍

        (so – to 😬)

    Nice quote!

    1. Thanks so much.

  23. The wideness of it can be a blessing and a curse. Either way I am grateful that this too shall pass

    1. So true, yes everything passes sooner or later.
