A Busy Day And Nothing To Post

time lapse photography standing on road | A Busy Day And Nothing To Post

I had a busy day today so I didn’t really have time to come up with anything. And since I’m still dealing with a bit of writer’s block I didn’t have any ideas for a creative post either. So, I decided to just share about my day and what’s going on with my life.

I wasn’t busy because I was busy with work or anything. It was a busy day because I decided to go out with my cousins and have some fun. But also finish some shopping lol. The truth is, I’m a pretty introverted person. And I’m definitely a homebody. If someone doesn’t invite me to go out, I may never leave the house again. There was a time a few years back when I didn’t go out for a month and didn’t even realise it. I think the internet has made it easier to be a homebody which can be a pro and con.

For me, it can be a major con. And that’s why I force myself to go out at least once a week. Since I work from home, it’s can be a big stress reliever to go out and just relax without thinking about work or life. And I think the writer’s block is also stemming from the fact that my brain is a little over worked at the moment.

With my first book, All The Words I Kept Inside (check it out here) coming out and a big change in my life happening, I’ve been at the end of my rope lately.

So, that’s it from me. Hope you had a great day!

    1. The rain is making me crazy lol

      1. col gupta are you back in cuba?????????

        1. I wish 😅

  2. I’m always a home body….but, everytime, everytime I go out of that comfort zone, I run into someone I know, haven;t seen forever…always a positive……

    1. I feel the same way, when I do go out I have a good time.

  3. A good post, Pooja! We are alike, introverts and homebodies!

    1. Thank you and yes it seems so!

      1. 😊❤️

  4. So much to be had in going out and I know it can be difficult at times. So much content and brain opening it can do, even if it’s just an interaction between the one behind the counter that gives you your coffee or the one that sits on the bench as you pass by. I agree with Warren.

    1. Absolutely, whenever I do end up going out I genuinely enjoy myself.

  5. A day out with family sounds good.

    1. It was lovely, we had a good time.

  6. It is important to get out – it provides inspiration. It may be an overheard snippet of conversation, or the sight of a person, but something will generally get your creative juices flowing again.

    1. I totally agree, when you go out and experience life you get more inspired to write.

  7. Identifying your weakness and learning how to deal with them is a pretty good thing to do.

    1. I couldn’t agree more.

  8. When you’re not too busy checkout my article on writer’s block https://rhemalogy.com/2023/07/16/are-you-battling-with-the-block/

    1. Will definitely check to out, thank you.

  9. Glad you got out and had fun, Pooja! You deserve that after a big push with your book and something else.. hmmmm … exciting.
How awesome Niguel is supporting you.. He’s sooo awesome!!! Hugs🤗

    1. Thanks so much! Yeah, with everything going on with the book I felt like I deserved a treat 💕
      Absolutely, he’s awesome 🤗

      1. You sure did and do for all you do!!! very cool🙌🏽💓

  10. comfort zones tend to consume at times…glad you got out and had some fun, Pooja…it’s meant as go easy on yourself too🤍🤗

    1. Yes, after a while they become restrictive. Thanks so much 💕

      1. always a pleasure 🤍

  11. I so get where you’re coming from. I too work at home when I leave office. And always give myself a day or two of the weekend to completely chill.
I’ve been so busy and it skipped my mind but I’ll do some promoting for your book on my socials this week.
It’s very intriguing this big change you’re talking about. I’ll watch the space.💛🩵💛

    1. Yeah, it feels nice to take some time off and relax. Thanks 🙏

  12. I would be a mess if I worked from home. So while there are days I hate my job, I still appreciate it because it gets me out of the house and it gets me outdoors for hours on end.

    1. That’s one of the cons of working from home, especially for people that like to go out more. I’m fine with going out on the weekend but a lot of people prefer going out daily.

  13. I love working from home but you’re right, you have to make an effort to get out of the house once in a while which is a challenge. If not for groceries and tennis, I wouldn’t leave if I didn’t make myself. Sending ‘chop the writing block’ vibes your way!

    1. Yeah, you have to make an effort or you’ll just be home 24/7. I’m usually out for groceries too and occasionally to eat out. Thank you!

  14. Nothing to post is also a thing to post. hahaha

    1. Lol very much so.

  15. Every day is full!!

    1. Yes it is!

  16. hey gudka draw the blinds , trun on the fan and listen to some steely dan.

    1. I think I need to

  17. I don’t consider myself an introvert and I have become more of a homebody in the last several years. I say go with whatever makes you comfortable.

    1. Thanks so much. I think most people become a bit more of a homebody over time. At least that’s what I’ve experienced as well. Thanks so much.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooha. I agree because home brings comfort and feeling safe,

        1. Yes, I think that’s exactly it. Home is where you’re most comfortable.

  18. 💚💓💖

    Blessed and Happy Sunday 🌞

    1. Thanks and you too 😊

  19. Sometimes it’s just good to relax and go with friends. I have an appointment once a month with my best friend, so that we will actually get together. She, too, works in a service vocation, and if we didn’t set aside time each month, I’d never see her!

    1. That’s so nice that you two still make time for each other despite being busy!

  20. Am a homeboy too. Introvert here, it’s daunting sometimes since we’re all alone for a long period of time but having some days off helps recalibrate our energy.

    1. Yes, it can be daunting but those days off help. I’m feeling much better now with my writer’s block.

  21. Yes internet made a lot of things a bit easier
    We forget life outside it.
    Nice share

    1. True, it’s a gift and a curse. Thanks.

  22. I’m happy you’re spending time out with family. It seems you folk have a good time together. And if it’s distracting, that sounds promising. Might tease you out of thought (like Keats’s urn) and then get you back into thought and more importantly writing (well, writing with thought, of course) with an attitude anew. I hope you have a pleasant week.

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, we had a good time and I’m back to writing again. Have a very pleasant week too.

  23. Enjoy the moment of transition for you, Pooja. It’s all part of it.

    1. Thanks so much.

  24. That’s nice you get to go on trips with your cousins. Mine ghost me. Sorry about the writers block. All a part of the process I think at least 🙂

    1. Most of my cousins are like that too but these two are really great and we connect well. Thanks and yeah I’m used to writer’s block attacking occasionally. I’m okay now.

      1. I’m glad to hear you’ve overcome writers block. Your cousins sound amazing 🙂

  25. Hi! Getting out is fun, especially with my biking community who are awesome, and I’m also very happy hanging out at home, listening to music and writing. Sorry to miss your posts this week… it’s been hectic and I wasn’t on WordPress for about six days! Realistically, I’ll never catch up on the bliogs I missed as the coming week is even busier.

    1. That’s great, we’re alike that way. When I go out I have fun but I like staying in too.
That’s okay, I understand that life gets busy sometimes!

      1. Yeah a bit of both is good. Thanks for understanding!

  26. Hi Pooja! I saw a post for your latest blogger interview but haven’t had a chance to watch it. Just wanted to say hi and hope your creative juices start flowing soon! 😎

    1. Thanks so much, hope you enjoy it when you watch it. My writer’s block is much better now! 😊

  27. Happy you had a fun day out 🙂 well deserved … it’s a hot ghost town here by day. I can see the tumbleweeds are too hot to tumble. Melting away ~ <3

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah, that’s summer- always super hot. Stay cool and don’t melt away lol 😅

  28. Bravo Pooja for writing and releasing a book, that is nota walk in the park.

Also, great to see that you are enjoying your life and going out with your cousins. I think there is nothing wrong with just being yourself and staying in the confines of your home as an Introvert who likes to be alone and not with people

Lastly, I have nothing else to say but you Pooja are Amazing😍✨✨✨, there is just something unique about your blogs ‘WHAT GRINDS MY GEARS” is my favorite topic🙏

    1. Thank you so much, absolutely writing a book is difficult work but with enough passion we can do it. Thanks so much 😊

      1. My pleasure Pooja😀👌⭐⭐

  29. Congratulations again on the upcoming book 🙂

    1. Thank you so much 😊

A break can also help with the writers block.

    1. It absolutely can.
