Did You Miss Me? (Because I Missed You!)

Did you miss me? Because I missed y’all so much!

Did You Miss Me?

So, as you guys most likely know, I’ve been taking a bit of a break from blogging. But I am finally back!

Guess Whos Back GIF by Nicky Rojo

The reason I decided to take a break was because we were moving. And obviously I had so much packing to do that I couldn’t really find the time for blogging much. I thought I would perhaps share some posts here and there but clearly that didn’t happen. Between all the packing, work and life, I ended up not having any time for blogging. But I did think about it a lot and ended up really missing it.

Blogging has been such a big part of my life for almost a decade now. I’ve posted regularly for years. So taking time off feels weird. But it did also teach me that it’s good to take time off when you need to. Sometimes your body and mind needs a break.

Anyway, we’re pretty much moved but still have so much unpacking to do. But I’ll do it slowly over the next few days. I’ll share a picture of my room and new set up for videos once everything is set up. I also hope to be able to make more YouTube videos now that I have more space to do so.

That’s all from me. What has been going on with you? What have I missed? Tell me everything in the comments below or simply stop by and say hi!

I recently published my first book, if you would like to read it, please click here.

  1. Welcome Back Pooja! 🤩

Yes, you were truly missed. Glad to see you back. ❤️

    1. Thank you so much! ☺️

  2. How long were you at your previous home? I’ve been in my current home for 37 years. The amount of accumulated “stuff” is overwhelming when I think about moving.

    1. We lived there for about fifteen years. We had so much stuff too, a lot of it has been sold or given away. It can definitely be overwhelming.

  3. Welcome back 😍 I actually did miss your posts🥹. Glad to have you back. Hope you are well.

    1. Thank you so much! ☺️

  4. Yes I think we all missed you. Welcome back. I also took a break (mostly) when I visited Sweden and Norway. Congratulations on a successful move.

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, it’s not possible to blog when we’re preoccupied with other things. But happy to be back.

  5. Congrats on your book!!

    1. Thank you so much!

  6. Welcome back Pooja! Congratulations on the new place and the move.

    1. Thank you so much!

  7. Packing is quite an endeavor. Fortunately, unpacking usually goes easier. Good to see you, Pooja dear.

    1. It was definitely a lot of work but glad to be done with it. Thank you so much.

  8. Welcome back, Pooja. And honestly, you didn’t miss much. A bunch of us were recently commenting on how dead this platform is becoming, actually. 😄
It almost seems at a complete standstill some days 🤷‍♂️

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, I was still reading some posts and remember reading yours about the lack of activity here. It’s been quiet recently for most I think.

      1. Yes, it seems to be pretty widespread across the platform. Maybe the end times are finally upon us lol

  9. Congrats on the move, I hope you enjoy your new place! I have started a new knitting project, and posted about an awesome book I haven’t finished yet. It’s a workbook, so I need to do some work before moving on. It’s helpful to have a bit of a guidance 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! That’s so great, hope you continue to enjoy the book.

  10. Welcome back, Pooja! I searched your blog yesterday to make sure I didn’t miss any new blog posts. I’ve been thinking about you. I look forward to seeing your room and setup 👀

    1. Thank you so much! It’s funny because I just recently thought of you since you don’t post much these days. I was wondering when you’ll start posting again. Excited to share my room soon 😊

      1. Aww, that’s sweet of you to think of me 🥰 I haven’t had the energy to write and have been playing a game that’s been occupying my free time. It’s called Supermarket Simulator on Steam. I’m at the point where I’m a bit bored with the game and have unlocked all of the important stuff and it’s a total grind now, so I’m thinking about getting back into writing, when I’m not making sticker designs (side hustle). It would be cool to see how you decorated your room, looking forward to a room tour! 😀

        1. Ooh I see, yeah if you feel like it you should definitely start writing again. I’ve missed your posts 😊

  11. I’m glad you’re doing well. And I hope your new neighbors are good- better than the last ones

    1. Thank you so much. So far the neighbours seem nicer so fingers crossed.

      1. I hope they stay that way 😍

        1. Thanks ☺

          1. My pleasure 💖

  12. Welcome back! I hope you’ll get some rest. Moving can be such an exhausting endeavor!

    💙❤️💜

    1. Thank you so much, yes we’re all absolutely exhausted but life goes on 😅

      1. You’re most welcome!

  13. While you were away I posted 2 blog posts

    How about that?

Would love to see your room 😀
    Take care buddy 🤗

    1. I noticed that, I was pleasantly surprised to see your posts. Thanks so much 😊

  14. Welcome back, Pooja! Moving house is never fun, the only good thing is when it’s done. Be well!

    1. Thank you so much! Yes, it’s so difficult to move but it’s worth it in the end.

      1. 🤙🏻😊😊❤️

  15. You will always be missed when you aren’t writing, Pooja. That said many congratulations on moving and your new place. We’d love a virtual tour 😁

    1. Thank you so much. Hope to share it soon once everything is setup 😊

  16. Congratulations on moving (hey, that’s what I’m trying to do). I hope you like where you are now, very much. Moving is a chore, but at least you’re on the other side of it. Not much happening with me. I blog as well as I can (thank you for reading), even though I don’t have much by way of sleeping patterns, anymore. More medical stuff coming up. Sigh. I trust you are feeling fine as you arrange everything where you are in a way you like it.

    1. Thank you so much and good luck, hope you can move soon too. We really like it here, we have more space and the neighbours seem much nicer/quieter. I’ve been sleeping like a baby. Hope everything goes well with the medical stuff.

  17. I’ve missed you too. I’m glad you’re back. Welcome back. Moving houses is a lot of work indeed. It can be a bit unsettling until you have fully unpacked And yes as you rightly put it, sometimes a break can do more good than bad. I hope you have settled down in your home. Take care

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, it was odd being in a new place at first but it’s nice now. Take care too

      1. I’m glad to hear that. Take care, Pooja

        1. You as well.

  18. Hi Pooja!

You share the same energy, excitement and familiarity.

I’m happy to know you moved to a new place. I hope things work fine there.

I was here in the beginning of the last year. Then I went on a break, and later deleted the blog and Wp account.
Well, taking break was important (health+final year of college). It helped me.

Deletion of the blog was wrong. Because I found this place and people here are better than the people outside.
I enjoy reading and writing both. Otherwise I fall in the overthinking… which’s a kind of blackhole.

I’m here to stay for longer, I hope. Since my studies are complete I have more time for myself and my friends now (Some classmates of mine, with history degree, are doing better. I haven’t achieved anything significant in that field yet).

I wish you good health. Stay happy!

    1. I’m happy to see you back here, it’s certainly been a while. As someone who also has a history degree, I do understand the struggle. It’s a difficult field to get into. Do you have any specific history field you would like to work in?
Thanks and wishing you the same!

      1. I’m planning to go for a PhD in History. Somewhere I agree that I should continue my academic life. I like academic environment.
I will attend an exam in the December for that.

Other plan, I do have, is to do something with whatever basic history knowledge and understanding I gained. I’m referring to the Publishing industry. I want to publish content of several forms (text, video) on historical and related topics.
I know some youtubers and websites belonging to the History.

I’m preparing for the Public Service Exams (Administration) as well. I’m targetting IAS (administration within country) and IFS (Foreign service, Diplomacy, UN etc.).
The syllabus of this exam matches to my UG, School and PG (History included, 500 marks) syllabus. Means what I have studied, continuously, in the last 5-7 years.

I’m just lazy. Most of the time I have no clue of what I’m doing and why. I keep wandering everywhere. Though I have stopped wandering for now.
I need to work very hard, consistently; but will never do this at the mental and physical health cost.
        Overall I’m happy and satisfied!😊

        (Sorry for the long reply)

        1. I think a lot of us are inconsistent at this age so don’t worry about it too much. Wishing you the best with your future 😊

  19. Welcome back! Moving and packing/unpacking is so much work! Hope you get to relax after this!

    1. Thank you so much! Yes, it’s so much work but feels good to be here.

    1. Thank you so much! ☺️

  23. Welcome back. WordPress is just not the same without you. A lot of us seem to be in transition to new spaces. I am slowing getting work done on my house but have not got around to completely unpacking yet. My plan is to leave it until Xmas and pretend that Santa brough me a lot of presents to open, lol.

    1. Thank you so much, it’s not been the same without my blogging buddies too. True, so many people are moving at the moment. Lol, I may just end up doing the same with a lot of my boxes.

      1. You could put the name of a blogging buddy on each box and pretend that it was a gift from them. Much better than a pile of gifts from Santa, lol.

  24. Welcome back, Pooja.

    We missed you 🤗

    1. Thank you so much 🤗

      1. You’re welcome.

  27. Welcome back

    1. Thank you.

  28. Glad to see you’re still alive 😀 I was beginning to wonder.
Moving sure takes it out of you, doesn’t it? Last Saturday I helped an older couple from church move. There were over 30 of us and it still took us all day. They had so much crap. made me glad I’m practicing the minimalist lifestyle in regards to “things”. But it was exhausting, so I can only imagine how tired you must be.

    1. Haha thanks. Oh yeah, once you live in a place for very long you’re bound to accumulate some stuff at least. We didn’t have too much but still more than I would like. We’re eventually going to be selling or giving away a lot of the things we no longer use.

  29. Good luck with the move! I know how hard that can be! Where have you moved to?

    1. Thank you so much, it’s definitely tough! We just moved a little further than where we used to stay. The place is bigger though which is nice.

  30. Welcome back, Pooja
…and yes, we did miss you 😋 🤗
all the best with the unpacking (😬🥴)lol…

        1. Thank you so much, hugs.

          1. when my mother died in 2001 she went to sleep. she did not lose her mind until the last six months. she was 87 and a nurse.

            1. My grandmother had been battling with dementia for quite a while now. I’m sorry you lost your mother, it’s not easy to lose a parent. I’m glad your mother didn’t suffer for too long with mental issues, it’s really hard.

  32. Welcome back 😊 moving is such a stressful situation, so take the time you need to relax and recuperate 🙏

    1. Thank you so much, yes it’s been so stressful but life is the gift that keeps on giving lol 😂

      1. Haha!! Indeed – no doubt about that 😆 tacos make it better, though!

        1. Lol agreed, also sorry for the late reply you were stuck in my spam 😭

          1. It’s been happening everywhere 😆 ugh I don’t know what else to do about it except warn people! 😭 hope you are doing better 🙏

            1. I am, thank you 🙏 Urgh how annoying, have you reached out to Akismet?

              1. No, I haven’t. I didn’t know there was somewhere to reach out to! I’ll look into it if it happens again 😊 thank you so much

                1. Use this link: https://akismet.com/contact/

And pick the “I think Akismet is catching my comments by mistake.” option. It’ll be resolved in no time, this has happened to me before so I’m a pro on how to handle it now lol 😂

                  1. You are awesome!!! Thank you 🙏 😊 I really so much appreciate it

                    1. You’re very welcome ☺️ Hope you get out of comments jail 😅

  33. Welcome back, Pooja. Hope you’ll create a great setup in your room. Best wishes!

  37. Oh yes, I missed you Pooja but don’t see my comment I thought /I sent last night, as soon as I saw your post/ Welcome back!!

    1. Thank you so much! That’s so odd, I wonder why the comment didn’t go through. WP is really glitchy sometimes.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja!

  39. Welcome back my fellow Jedi. Moving- I still have a few boxes I have not unpacked since the last time I moved 14 years ago lol

    1. Thank you so much. It’s no easy thing to move especially when you’ve lived somewhere for so long. We’re moving after 15 years of living in that house.

  40. Best wishes with your unpacking and getting settled, Pooja. Looking forward to your videos! 🌼

    1. Thank you so much! ☺️

      1. You’re so welcome! 🌞

  41. Welcome back Pooja.

Whenever I am in a new place, I don’t fall asleep easily. Did that also happen to you? ( weird question)🤦🏽

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, it happened to me the first two nights. I barely slept and had very light sleep. But I’m okay now.

      1. You are welcome.

I am glad to hear that.

  42. Moving is a huge job!!!! Whew 😅 Life gets in the way.. how do I know that so well.. 😂 Can’t wait to see your pics and video and Lizzy… don’t forget her now❣️🥺🤩

  48. Welcome back Pooja! ✨
    Congratulations on your move.

  49. I’ve missed you too. Welcome back, Pooja! ♥️💐

    1. Thank you! ☺

  50. This post showed up in my emails but not reader. Maybe just a case of my getting out of rhythm and missing it. Congratulations on moving and having a refreshed creative space!

  51. Welcome back, Pooja! It’s good to take a little time to regroup. I look forward to seeing the new setup in your videos. Have a wonderful weekend of… unpacking! 🤗

    1. Thanks so much! I underestimated how much time I would take to unpack so the video isn’t coming anytime soon lol but it’ll be here eventually 😅

      1. Packing, moving, unpacking always take way more time and energy than we expect… place yourself and enjoy! 😅

        1. Absolutely, it’s really taken in toll this time. Thanks! 😀

  52. I, too, had to take an involuntary break from blogging due to my second interstate move in less than a year. I was busy for several weeks before the actual trip back to Miami, so I wasn’t able to follow many of my fellow bloggers till…now.

    1. Oh yes, I remember you were posting about that but I think I haven’t visited your site in a while so wasn’t able to congratulate you on the move back. I know it was something you were looking forward to. I hope you’re settling in well.

      1. I’m settling in as well as one could expect, considering I’ve been “adopted” by a family, if you can dig it. I didn’t actively seek an invite to return to Miami back in April; the offer was made because my friends saw I lived in a rural area with a smoker for a housemate (or co-tenant) and didn’t think it was a healthy environment. At the time, I’d only been in New Hampshire for four months and four days and had just gotten approved for public assistance there, and I wanted to stick it out as best I could. (If you recall, I only decided to move as recently as August, and that was 99.5% the co-tenant’s doing.)

I’m still sad that I couldn’t stay in Madison, NH, but I didn’t want any more drama…so I left.

        1. That’s awful, it sucks that you had such an awful housemate but that happens often. Still, I’m glad you were able to move back rather than be stuck with the co-tenant.

  53. Great to have you back looking forward to more of your amazing work.
Haven’t posted for a while myself have had lots of things going on but slowly getting back engaging with WP again

    1. Thanks so much and nice to see you back here too.

  54. Well Well Well. Welcome back Pooja💖💯😀😀. Honestly, I also went on a blogging break in October, for 2 whole weeks.

Okay, I still have my sense of humor with me so here is a JOKE since you were away sister of mine😉😉

“I told my friends I was away on Vacation in Bahamas and they believed it, I told them I am back and they believed it, little did they know that I was at home, on lockdown eating food, farting a lot😂😂 and being a Traveller in disguise. See, why social media is not trusted, anyone can lie about being on a holiday😂, haha

    1. Ahaha very much enjoyed that joke 😅
