Blogging Challenge

I want to thank the always wonderful Melanie McGauran for nominating me for this blogging challenge. She did it such a long time ago and I had finished writing my answers hoping to post it then but of course life had other plans. I have to say, it was so much fun doing a blogging challenge like this after so many years. I hope you enjoy reading my answers as much as I enjoyed writing them. And before you read this post, don’t forget to check out Melanie’s original post where she nominated me here.

Blogging Challenge

How did you come up with your blog name?

It’s a funny story that I know I’ve shared before but I’ll share it again. When I first started blogging, I was just blogging for fun and not expecting to get very many views or followers. So, I didn’t care what I called the blog. I went on one of those random name generators and it suggested Lifesfinewhine which I went with. I’m not the biggest fan of that name, if I had to start over again I would change it. But it is what it is and I’m learning to love it.

If your blog was a person (fiction or real), who would it be?

Elizabeth Bennet, of course! Loves books and music and Mr. Darcy? Sounds about right to me.

What helps you create new content if you feel like you need some inspiration?

Reading other blogs always inspires me. Taking some time off from writing and meditating helps a lot too.

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?

Yes, so many people and I wish I had more time for collaborations.

Is there anything more you wish you had or would like to learn as a blogger?

I wish I was a better writer (but I’m learning to do that!). I read some of the stuff on here, especially poetry and I’m like wow. Wish I could write like that.

Do you have a specific style of blogging?

I don’t know if I have a specific style because it really depends on my mood. I guess my style is random and chaotic lol. Just like me!

  1. Good stuff!
And hurray for Lizzie Bennet, a heroine I can fully support 😀 (but I still like Marianne and Colonel Brandon, hahahah)

    1. Thank you! Lol it’s always going to be Lizzie and Darcy for me- they’re the best 🤭

  2. Thank you for nominating me, Pooja, how are you doing? What is the latest thing you cooked / read / listened? Are you celebrating new years?

    1. You’re so welcome, I’m excited to read your responses. I’m doing well and I made the marry me butter beans today using the viral recipe. I do plan to celebrate the new year but no solid plans for what we’re doing have been made. What about you? How have you been and what have you been up to?

      1. Just hanging in there, working, shopping, reading … Trying to get back on track health wise

        1. I see, well good luck and hope things get better. I hope your health improves too. It’s nothing serious right?

          1. Right, just the seasonal blues

            1. Yeah, a lot of people deal with that in winter. Hopefully, as the seasons change in a couple of months you’ll feel better.

              1. I hope to feel better in a couple of days haha

  15. I always liked the name of your blog but interesting how random it was that you chose the name 🙂

    1. Thank you and yes it was so incredibly random I can’t believe I used to be so carefree lol 🙂

      1. I always thought of the play on words fine wine fine whine

        1. Yes, I liked that play on words back then too which is why I went with this one out of all the names the generator had come up with.

  16. Congratulations! Your responses are highly engaging, which is without doubt no surprise.

    1. Thank you, so glad you enjoyed them!

  17. I’ve always thought Lifesfinewhine was a unique name to call your blog. Great to know of its origin. Who’d have thought? 🙂

    1. Thanks so much, I had little to do with creating the name lol 🙂

  18. Retired my blog P.. will be back on soon. Still on duo. Massive victories for me. Significant. Last 2 weeks… I didn’t expect to crack it open or for the next bit to work. Persevere and Broadway extends a blank cheque

    1. I see, your blog still comes up though. Anyway, so happy for your victories and hope to see you back soon.

      1. Really? They have refunded me my latest payment. Cool… that means some of my accounts are up about surviving being a 90’s lab rat. I have a lot in my kit bag 🎒

Elizabeth Bennet, how perfect, and I can see it!

    1. Thanks so much, that’s sweet of you to say!

    2. See it or know it? That after all was why Austin used a “soap opera” type paradigm to express a dichotomy that is essential western canon.

  20. Great post. Love your blogging name

    1. Thank you so much!

  21. Random name generator… I love it! It works, stick with it!
