I have some amazing news to share and I’m so excited to finally share it here. It’s something that happened last month but I couldn’t share it till January. So, recently I joined Bluesky which has been an overwhelmingly positive experience for me as a writer. I met so many people in the writing community there. And one of the people I met, T.C. Westminster, recently started her own magazine. She was accepting flash fiction submissions for the magazine and the topic for the month was “End Of The World.”
Now, I have written short stories before but never flash fictions for a magazine. But last year was all about trying as many new things as possible so I submitted my response with not a lot of expectation. However, she was so cool about it and said she really enjoyed my submission. And that it was one of the best pieces she had read. I was questioning my writing skills at that point a little so the vindication was amazing.
I would be really appreciative if you took a minute to read the story as it is one I am particularly proud of. It didn’t take me long to write, it’s only 250 words, but I was really in the zone when writing it. You can read the story here.
