An Unlikely Pair

Some of you may remember the last post I did about sharing my story to Bunker Squirrel Magazine and getting published in their January edition. Well, I submitted another flash fiction for the month of February and it was published once more. I’m really proud of this story because I wrote when I had the worst writers block and really didn’t have much enthusiasm to write. In some ways, this story helped clear up the writers block for me. The flash fiction piece is called An Unlikely Pair and you can read it here. A number of talented writers have been published in this month’s edition, you can read them all here.

An Unlikely Pair is well about just that. The title kind of says it all lol. It is pretty dark so if you prefer not to read those kind of stories then maybe skip this one. If not, enjoy!

Once more, I would like to thank T. C. Westminster for including me in this month’s edition of Bunker Squirrel Magazine. And for being really sweet and supportive of my writing. She’s such a wonderful person. You can find her on Bluesky or you can check out her book here. It’s a fantastic psychological thriller with a unique premise that you’ll love.

What did you think of it if you decided to read it? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

I recently published my first book and would love it if you took a minute to check it out here.

  16. Congrats on getting another story published. Does it help to keep having your stories getting published? Or is each submission pretty much a rolling of the dice every time?

    1. Thanks so much. Umm it helps with my self-esteem lol. Kidding. It helps bring more traffic to the blog and for my book since they link everything on my page. It’s also really good practice as a writer.

  29. What a cynically clever story. Well done! If writing this helped you with writer’s block, then that’s great. But it doesn’t read as if you were suffering anything (except notions of infidelity). Really, a fine, darkly humorous piece. Yes, we don’t pair those two together.

    1. Thanks so much! This just sort of came to me and I think those are the best stories because they’re so organic. But now when I read it I think of all the things I should have edited lol.
Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
