Six Word Story #211

Six Word Story

Six Word Story:

Sometimes you just lose at life.

About This Six Word Story:

This six word story is written in response to Kevin’s No Theme Thursday Challenge and the image is from that post. I’ve been participating in this challenge for the last few weeks and love it. The images give me a starting point for my posts. If you haven’t read his NTT post yet, do check it out. And consider participating!

This SWS is about how I’ve been feeling recently. For the last few days I’ve been feeling like a loser and my anxiety and depression have been pretty bad. It happens, I guess. I’ve scheduled a meeting with my therapist and will start with medication again if I feel the need to. You know, sometimes life just gets a lot and it wears you down. Like, I feel like I don’t have any fight left anymore. But hopefully, that will pass and I’ll be back to feeling like myself soon. I think I just need to talk to my therapist and let it all out. It’s during these times I’m truly thankful for my blog because it gives me a n outlet and is the perfect distraction too. Just know, I am so grateful for all of you.

How has your week been? Any plans for the weekend? Let me know in the comments section below. And do share your own six word story/stories in the comments below that goes with this theme. Or just share a totally random SWS because why not! Or simply stop by and say hi!

Edit: I was editing an older post and accidentally republished it. If you got an email notification for it please ignore it! My apologies but I have a hard time with the block editor lol!

  1. The block editor needs to vanish. You aren’t a loser, Pooja, you are a wonderful woman. ❤️😊

    1. Agreed, the block editor has been annoying since day one. Thanks so much, that really means a lot ❤️

      1. You’re welcome my friend. 😊

  2. ‘m out here on my own

    1. Accurate SWS.

  3. “One more drink, no big deal.” 😄

I understand the feeling, but you are most definitely not a loser, Pooja. For what it’s worth, know that I, and many others I’m sure, value your friendship and support. Thank you. 😊

I’m not doing much this weekend. Supposed to get a snow/rain/ice mix, so it’ll be mostly quiet here. Maybe some writing. 🤷‍♂️

    Hang in there!!!

    1. Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. I think I’m just feeling blue and hopefully will feel better soon. Have a fun weekend even if you don’t have any plans due to the weather!

      1. It happens to all of us at times, no worries. Hang in there. 💪
It will be a good weekend indeed. I have embarked on a little experiment for myself. lol

        1. Ooh, what kind of experiment??

          1. Well, you’ve seen it by now I think lol

            1. Yup, just read your post a little while ago 😅

  4. P.S.
Forgot to add, I do absolutely love the SWS you posted with the image! 👍👍

    1. Thanks and I liked your six word story response too 😊

      1. Aw, thank you! Have a good day and keep your chin up! 😊

        1. You’re very welcome and thanks!

  5. I think that our choices make a difference in how our life turns out.

    1. Yes, very much so.

      1. 🥰😍☺️

  6. Hey Pooja, hang in there. You can do it!

My week was pretty nice. I’m looking forward to the weekend to see my China friends and go to the movie, it’s called Perfect Days. I’m on the way out of minor depression episode, taking my meds and feeling grateful it’s almost over. The best part of being back to normal is that I have my appetite back. I couldn’t eat for a while, for me it’s completely unusual

    1. Thanks so much! Oh, that sounds like a great week and fun weekend plans. I’ve been feeling the same, I don’t feel like eating or doing anything. Glad you’re feeling better now 😊

      1. I hope you feel better very soon too

        1. Thank you so much.

  7. “Sometimes you just need a break”

    Wanna trade a week? lol..
Hope you are on the mend soon. Between 4 sets of diapers.. 2 babies and 2 old people, I never posted today and it’s “Fun” Fri-Yay!
Hang in there and hope you feel better soon.. Thanks always for your candid share❣️

    1. Lol absolutely not, I can absolutely not handle the stress you do 😫

  8. Pooja, I’m sorry the week has been rough. I hope you receive the support you need and that the SWS soon turns into feeling some wins.

    1. Thanks so much, really appreciate that.

      1. My pleasure.

  9. Pooja, you are 100% correct; it will pass. Hang in there. It was snowing today in Illinois, so hopefully, it gets better over the weekend, and I can go for a run to shake off the blues.

    1. Absolutely, the bad feelings never last forever. Hopefully the snow will be melted by the weekend. Have a great one.

        1. My pleasure.

  10. For me you are the finest blogger out here.

    I hope you feel better.
    Take care dear 😘🤗

    1. Aw, thanks so much 🤗

  11. Ditto what you said.😍

  12. I’m glad you will be speaking w your therapist. You’re a sweet soul.🥰

    1. Thanks so much, yeah my therapist helps so much 💕

  13. No weekend plans as of yet. Made a blanket fort tonight and had frozen pizza in it and watched the office 🙂

    1. Oh wow, that sounds so fun. I love The Office 😊

  14. You are an inspiration for many Pooja. Anxiety makes us feel like a loser. I hope you find peace with yourself soon 😊💕

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, anxiety really gets into our head but I’ll keep fighting 💕

  15. Incarcerated with friends, praying for death.

This SWS came out of an odd conversation. We were working on something, and my friend said, we better be careful; if someone gets killed, we could end up in the same cell with life in prison. I responded and said; I like you, but if we had to spend the rest of our lives in an eight-by-ten cell, I would ask for the death penalty.

I Hope you are feeling better.

Remember, an airplane on a journey is off course 90 percent of the time but still makes it to the destination with continuous small corrections.

    1. That’s so interesting. Lol yeah, I think staying in a jail cell together even with someone you like is way too much haha.

Thanks so much, that’s a good way of looking at it.

  16. I forgot to add that your six word story fix the picture perfectly.

    1. Thanks, so glad you thought so.

  17. I always like your work. I guess that 6 story is a perfect for its picture.

    1. Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed it.

  18. Pooja, sorry you’re feeling down. You’re a gifted writer and I enjoy reading your content. Hang in there, the sun will come out again 😎

    1. Thanks so much, hearing that means a lot to me. I’m feeling a little better today 😊

  19. “not all are meant to win” 😉

“some meant for the lessons only”

    Ah…that’s 2 sws …

    hugs , Pooja.🤗🤍

    1. Loved both six word stories, they go perfectly with the image 😀 Hugs 🤗

      1. 🤗🌷🤍

  20. Hang in there, Pooja. Hope things get better for you!

    1. Thanks so much, I’m sure it will!

  21. The good and the not so good, everything has its time in the sun. Be patient with yourself, and the process. You’re definitely not a loser, but I understand the feeling my friend. I hope you feel better soon. 🙏💜

    1. Thanks so much, patience is what I need a lot more of. 💕

      1. You got this. Little steps.. little steps. 💜

  22. Fantastic image, made me so nostalgic abt my lean phase. Buck up pl. Thanks for the share.

    1. Thanks so much, the image was created by Kevin and he does such a great job with them.

  24. Smart, to get yourself to therapy when feeling like this. I started seeing my therapist over 4 years ago, and for the last two begin to wonder whether that’s enough time. But I stay because although I have dips in coping, knowing a visit with her is around the corner helps level things immensely. I’m glad writing is a helpful outlet. We benefit. <3

    1. Thanks so much. I’ve been in therapy for quite a while but the therapist I have right now is my favourite so far. It really does help even if we don’t specifically need it.

  25. I am glad you are seeing your therapist, Pooja, and I hope things get better for you. Great job on your six word story. My hubby hurt his back and I’ve been picking up the slack so life has been rather overwhelming.

    1. Thanks so much and I hope so too. Sorry to hear about your husband, I can imagine how overwhelming that must be. Hope he recovers soon.

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja. He seems a little better today, thank goodness.

        1. Oh good, so glad he’s on the mend.

  26. I love your 6-word story with the picture.

I hope you feel better soon, Pooje. xo

    1. Thanks so much, I’m sure I will.

  27. Feel better Pooja ❤️❤️.

    1. Thanks so much ❤️

Remember, sometimes you win at life! Hope things are looking better…or is this the old post?

    1. No, this is a recent post and thanks so much!

  29. My contribution-
Pontification is covert narcissism in motion.

    1. Hmm, yeah it can be. Interesting six word story.

      1. That’s me… working at keeping it interesting.

  30. Loser you are not. Yoda agrees.

    1. Thanks so much, appreciate you (and Yoda) saying that.

  31. Sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself.

    1. Thanks so much, I’m trying the best I can.

  32. I hear ya on the life being a struggle part. Mine is too. Aren’t good therapists awesome? I hope things look up for you soon, my sweet friend! Xoxo

    1. Thanks so much and yes so thankful for therapists that are good at what they do!

    1. Interesting!

  34. Dressed well but utterly devastated inside.

    1. A sad but realistic six word story, thanks for sharing it.

  35. Nothing like exercise, good diet, proper sleep to deal with depression Pooja. Sometimes it can be a temporary chemical imbalance in the body, but a doctor can help with that.

    1. Yes, all that definitely helps. I’ll be seeing my doctor tomorrow and then going for therapy so hopefully that will help too.

      1. Wishing you good health

        1. Thank you very much.

  36. I guess everyone does eventually. Some a lot sooner than others.

    1. Yeah, unfortunately so.

  37. But you win at being alive

    1. Yes 🙌🏽

  38. great flash fiction – sorry you’re feeling down – I’m rooting for you, as we all are

    1. Thanks so much, I’m feeling much better now.

      1. Thank goodness 😅

  39. […] a recent post, I was talking about how I was feeling kind of down. I was still feeling like that so I went to see […]

  40. Pooja, you are a winner!! Remember that!! I hope your meeting with the therapist helps you and you overcome his anxiety/depression. It’s a season too with all things.
I struggle with anxiety and depression, and it stinks. But taking mediation for it helps immensely and I’m so thankful for that.

    1. Thanks so much and my therapist did help a lot. I’m so glad medication is helping you because yeah anxiety and depression seriously suck!

  41. I suggest slicing up a ripe orange and inhaling deeply. It really helps me when I’m out of sorts! 🙏🙏🙏

    1. I’ll try that, thanks so much!

  42. Your story fits the image perfectly, Pooja, and how are you feeling? I hope much better. Don’t ever feel like a loser. You are a winner, just keep that thought in your mind. Sending hugs 🩷

    1. Thanks so much and yes I’m doing much better. Really appreciate that! 🤗

      1. I’m glad you are, Pooja. Hope you have a good day!

  43. I really like the idea of image prompts. It pings a different part of my brain that word prompts.
Your SWS fits that one really well. The picture makes me think of “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller.

    1. Thanks so much. Same here, with the image prompts you also have the ability to be more creative. Oh, I love the “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller

      1. You’re welcome! You’re right. I think there’s less overt direction with an image prompt and I think an image taps into emotions more directly than a prompt in writing. Maybe that’s what I like about them.

  44. BUT! Sometimes you win. Never Quit! 🤣😎🙃

    1. Yes, sometimes you do 😊
