A Clean Slate

A Clean Slate

It’s been a while since I submitted a story for Bunker Squirrel Magazine. I’ve been super busy lately with life and work but the prompts Tori created for this Volume really connected with me. A Clean Slate is the first flash fiction story I shared for this volume and it’s one I am particularly attached to because it’s sort of been in my head for so long but this prompt really brought it out.

A Clean Slate is about love, sacrifice and redemption or starting over (as the name suggests). So many of us sacrifice so much for those that we love. But the pain when they take us for granted hurts so deeply. That’s what I tried to show in this story. If you would like to read the full story you can click here or you can use the link below.

Once more, I would like to thank T. C. Westminster for including me in this month’s edition of Bunker Squirrel Magazine. And for being really sweet and supportive of my writing. She’s such a wonderful person. You can find her on Bluesky or you can check out her book here. It’s a fantastic psychological thriller with a unique premise that you’ll love. You can also read more about the magazine and how to submit if you’re interested here.

Do let me know in the comments section below what you thought about A Clean Slate. Thank you!

I recently published my first book and would love it if you took a minute to check it out here.
