Right Now, I Am Yours

Right Now I Am Yours

In your glory

I bask

At your feet I await

To serve your every need

I look into your eyes

Trying to satisfy your hunger

In this moment

Every inch of me

Is fully yours

And I have never felt

About This Poem:

“Right Now, I Am Yours” is inspired by no feelings I have ever experienced lol. I honestly don’t know where so much of my poetry comes from. Like all writers, I have an imagination that likes to run wild. I have hands that go along with that imagination and feed into it by writing what my brain tells them to. So, here we are. But I can’t complain. I love writing. As a writer we can experience things we’ve never actually experienced in reality. I am thankful for that gift. Plus, every time someone pisses me off I have a new awful character I can add to one of my books.

I don’t usually know what to write about when it comes to poetry. But I know some of you enjoy this little “about” section. Plus, I think poetry is interpreted differently by each reader so this lets you know how I think of it. And in the comments I get to read about your thoughts and interpretations. Which is awesome because growing up I thought I would be dead before people would be interpreting my writing. Technology can be a joyous thing when used correctly. Okay, now I’m just sleepily rambling so I’m going to stop typing now. Let me know your thoughts about “Right Now, I Am Yours” in the comments below!

  1. There’s so many romantic movies with divine god/goddess worship that it would take imagination and reference to write something like that. I’ve never been in a romantic relationship but I know how ideal ones, toxic ones, and okay ones look like and I write them accordingly.

However, this poem is really adorable and I love how it flows.

    1. Yeah, I haven’t been in a lot of relationships either so I usually use my imagination too since I know what they are like from other peoples experiences too. Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed the poem.

  2. Very nice poem. I like what you say about writing and imagination.

The one thing that writing instructors used to say that got under my skin was, “You need more life experience.”

I was 28 at the time. At age 5, I was shot at, and at 15, had been stabbed. At 18, worked as a traveling salesperson, retail clerk, warehouse worker, and pipefitter, dropped out of electronics school, and at 20, joined the military and became an avionics tech. At 25 became a flight simulator technologist and, at 28, flew a fighter jet at 7gs to 44K feet. I guess all that didn’t count as life experience.

Sorry, that is my rant for today, lol.

    1. Thanks so much. That’s a dumb thing to say so I understand why you were pissed. We all have our life experiences where we are young or older. I’ve been lightly stabbed but never shot at. That sounds terrifying.

      1. It was family that shot at us while we fled, so it was a loving shot not meant to injure, lol. As a five year old I thought the sound of the bullet cutting the tree branches was neat. The movie Saving Private Ryan illustrates the sound perfectly in the beach scene.

  3. I wish love gives people that sense of freedom, no matter how imaginary. Like what the poem says, “i have given you the power to turn me inside out, my dear—please do not use it” I forgot the poet’s name for the time being. Haha, my memory is bad …LOL.

  4. Having gone through your different poems, I am of the opinion that your poetry touches two extreme dimensions. One is complete submission to the lover as we see in this poem. The lover or the beloved (whosoever) is bending backwards to please the other, forgetting him/her(self) in the process.
The other dimension takes a 180 degree turn. Here, the feelings of revenge and annihilation take hold of the lover, and he/she feels no qualms about killing the very object of their love.
This dichotomy is quite interesting and can only be noticed and appreciated by a person who has been reading your poetry for quite a while.

All said, poetry can be interpreted in many ways, and this is my interpretation. One can agree or disagree with this interpretation.
I always enjoyed myself reading these short but meaningful pieces of poetry.

    1. Yes, that’s the thing with all my writing. It’s one extremes depending on my mood lol. I liked your interpretation and thanks so much.

  5. I was about to ask that if it’s based on true event 🤭

Then I read the about 😆

That’s the beauty, I guess you are a terrific writer/poet PG, and you can easily write about so many different genres.

I would like to challenge you by giving some topics and it would be interesting to see your take on them.

Also, I would love to piss you some day. I mean, I can appease you later, but being a character in your book would be fun. 🤣

But still, I feel something is cooking 🤔
You are less active, you are writing love poems without killing anyone 🫣

    1. Lol, a little bit true events a little bit imagination 😅

Thank you so much, yes that would be interesting. Don’t hope to be a character in my books. Most of them die 😜

I’m just busy with work 😅

  6. Love is indeed about surrender..and so is writing. Surrending to the flow of creative energy, Like water in a stream. Love is best experienced when we allow it to flow naturally.
    Lovely poem 💙

  7. That sounds like the perfect relationship, but both parties have to feel that way at the same time. If both of them don’t go all in there will be resentment.

      1. Another key point there is at the same time. One may be a little late to see what they have got and by the time they do it’s too late.

  8. You keep trolling us with your goodbye posts. 😂 I hadn’t logged in for a week or so and noticed you had no recent posts, and found that one. You got me again! I should know better, you’re a blogging lifer. 🥰

  9. Yes imagination is what it is all about in writing. The outline of a story suddenly materializes in the mind and you just have to spend time at the computer unfolding it through the keyboard until a conclusion appears. It possesses you until its complete.

  10. “Every time someone pisses me off I have a new awful character I can add to one of my books.” – this line from your blog sure is a great example that can be used by others to create new characters in their stories.

  11. Oh, I absolutely love this poem!
I believe in strong imagination, that’s how I write some of my poetry.
Well, the rest of it comes from the soul.

    1. Thank you so much! Imagination is the best thing for a writer to take advantage of. So much writing is just pure imagination.

  12. I liked it. Of course some might feel while reading it that the person thinking those words is a people pleaser but I think that the words are romantic as long as control of oneself is still involved. When we give away to much of ourselves, others can take control. As long as we can show love like that but remain in control no one else can take advantage. Does that make sense?

    1. Yes, I absolutely get what you mean and that’s how I thought about it when writing it. Not about people pleasing or letting go of your power but rather showing love and remaining in control.
