Claustrophobia

The walls are closing in

Everything is blurry

I can’t breathe

Not enough air

Get me out of here

I can’t take it anymore…

Finally the elevator doors open

And I practically run out

I am sort of fascinated by phobias and have been reading more about them recently. I have learnt about them in my psychology classes as well and just find them so interesting. It is really weird how our brain associates things that are not necessarily a threat as a threat. And how evolution plays a role in it. Claustrophobia is one of the phobias I find very interesting especially since it’s so common. And what I have been reading about claustrophobia is what inspired this poem.

Do you have any phobias? How do you deal with your phobias? Do you find phobias interesting? What did you think of this poem? Let me know in the comments below because I always love chatting with you guys or simply stop by and say hi!
