73 QUESTIONS | VOGUE PARODY

For those of you who don’t know, 73 Questions is a feature in Vogue magazine that asks some of the biggest celebs 73 quick fire questions in order to get to know them better. Over the last few weeks in particular, it’s become quite popular in the blogging community, where writers answer the questions themselves, and tag 12 fellow bloggers at the end of it.

Last week, I was tagged by Amy May and the 73 QUESTIONS PARODY and it has been soooo fun to do! I’m so grateful for her nominating me for the 73 questions parody tag because it’s the first time I’ve ever done this challenge and it was honestly one of my favourites. What’s your usual Starbucks order?  Vanilla latte with non-dairy milk.

What does your workstation look like? Not neat…

Favourite food? There are too many to have just one but probably if I had to choose it would be Indian or Korean food.

Favourite author? Jane Austen

What do you think of open relationships? I don’t think it’s for me personally because I’m the kind of person where if you’re with me you can’t be with anyone else but I think it works for a lot of people especially those who are not happy being with just one person but want to be in a relationship.

What is your favourite video game? Not going to lie I’m not into video games…

Guilty pleasure treat? Fries.

Favourite movie? Star Wars and Bridget Jones.

Favourite book? Pride and Prejudice.

Twitter or Instagram? Instagram– yes I’m an annoying millennial that likes taking pictures of everything and posting it on Insta…

Desktop or laptop? Laptop.

Best advice you’ve ever received? “You’re perfect the way you are, don’t compare yourself to others because you are you.”- My mum.

What project are you working on right now? I can’t tell you because it will ruin the surprise but it has to do with this blog and you’ll hear about it around August. Also trying to win a free stay at One King West so please go vote for me if you haven’t already!

Favourite colour? Depends on my mood but right now it’s between blue and orange.

Did you get good grades in school? I did well in everything except the sciences. I love science but I’m really not very good at them.

Dream job? Being a writer/history professor or being a Jedi…

Play any sports? I used to play basketball in school but I haven’t done that in a while.

Do you have a degree? Not yet but soon I hope!

Nationality? Kenyan.

What’s your favourite kind of blog post? I love How-To’s, lists and inspirational posts. Recently my favourite has been by trE a blogger who started something called Scintillating Saturday where she posts a picture and you come up with a 6-7 word story about it. It’s super fun and you should definitely check it out and try it out sometime!

What do you like to collect? I’m low-key a hoarder of books, shoes and makeup.

Describe yourself in three words. Weird, unique, sarcastic.

If you were a rapper, what would your stage name be? Lil PG- yes I have thought about this question a lot and yes pun intended.

Who was the last person you DM’d? My friends.

What’s on top of your wishlist right now? Travelling.

Sorting house? Gryffindor

How many tattoos do you have? One for now but more to come soon.

What are you most grateful for this year? My friends, family and the existence of cats.

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this month? Meeting up with friends I haven’t seen in so long!

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today? Family Guy.

What’s the best thing ever? Chocolate or ice cream or chocolate ice cream!

Favourite season? Fall or spring.

Favourite holiday? Christmas because of all the sales…

What fictional character do you relate to the most? Bridget Jones.

Do you like surprises? Depends. Like surprise birthday parties or something like that is cute but if you show up at my house unannounced I will throw a bucket of ice water at you and slam the door on your face. I’m an introvert and I need a few hours to prepare so surprises like that don’t work for me.

What’s the biggest surprise you’ve ever had? My friends threw me a birthday party!

Which surprise made you cry? Most of them- I cry easy these days which I think is a good sign because I used to be all bottled up and repressed before.

What’s the best surprise you’ve given someone else? Getting cute presents for friends and family.

Do you like muffins? If they’re delicious then yes!

Do you cook often? Very often- check out my Instagram which is full of pictures of them- if you don’t post a picture of it, it didn’t happen.

What’s your favourite dessert? Death by chocolate.

Is there a dessert you don’t like? I’m not a big fan of people serving fruit as dessert… like I want to OD on sugar by the time I’m done with my meal not feel healthier.

Cake or pie? Cake.

What’s your least favourite food? Carrots.

What’s your favourite condiment? Hot sauce but these days I feel like I’m also super in Mayo- the vegan one of course!

It’s 4am on a random Saturday. I’m either fast asleep or wide awake- there is no inbetween.

What are you eating? Bread and butter.

If you could teach a college class, what would it be called? History for Dummies. Kidding! It would probably be History related- maybe Kenyan History.

Best animated film? ALL OF THEM.

What has a guy said or done to impress you? Lol not much… I am really not someone people hit on a lot…

Best thing to do on a first date? Go for a movie then dinner.

Worst thing to do on a first date? I recently went on the worst first date ever so here it goes- don’t show up empty handed (I’m not saying buy me a private plane or something but a rose or something is cute and shows you care), don’t ignore everything the other person says, don’t talk the whole time, don’t make offensive comments and definitely don’t just do stuff you like do something both of you can enjoy.

What’s the best pick up line? Have you guys ever seen that time Barney picks up that girl on HIMYM? That was pretty awesome. Here’s a clip

Best comic book character? I’m really into The Punisher right now. Also love Iron Man!

Name three things that can always be found in your purse. Gum, a pen and a water bottle.

Favourite drink? Piña Colada or kombucha.

If you could play a historical character in a movie, who would it be? Anne Bonny or Olympe de Gouges.

Kittens or puppies? Both!

Favourite sushi roll? The vegan ones are all amazing!

What lipstick do you use? Usually Kat Von D’s everlasting lipsticks.

What foundation do you use? ELF or Hard Candy.

Blow dry or air dry? Air Dry.

Who is your fashion icon? Janis Joplin- if you see me walking around looking like her just mind your business and keep walking okay.

Favourite Disney character? I love all of them but I am loving Elsa from Frozen right now!

What are you doing tomorrow? Hopefully nothing.

Movie you laughed the hardest through? So many you really can’t make me pick just one!

Movie that made you cry? The Imitation Game.

If you could sing a duet with anybody, who would you choose? John Lennon or Phil Ochs.

If your life was a song, what would the title be? When Did It All Get So Crazy? (Seriously)

What’s your favourite animal? I love them all- even the creepy looking ones- but I do feel most connected with cats.

Favourite illustrator? Destiny Blue

Person you’d like to have coffee with? Larry David.

What country would you like to visit? Bhutan, Tibet and Germany are at the top of my list at the moment.

Best way to decompress? Writing or reading.
