Six Word Story #120

Our wedding was a jocund event. Too bad our divorce was too.

I know I usually post just one six word story but I really wanted to this to have a kind of twist to it so I decided to write two six word stories instead!

Today’s Word:

Jocund

1. Marked by or suggestive of high spirits and lively mirthfulness

More about the word.

Don’t forget to leave your six word reply in the comments because I always love reading them or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Shakespeare said, “Night’s candles are burnt out and jocund day stands tiptoe on the misty mountain tops”

  2. Quite an underlying theme of broken relationships in many of the six words I read. I hope you’re okay, maybe it’s just subconscious. Anyway

“Loss, despair: then I find myself.”

  3. Such jocularity cuts like a knife. It wounds those disappointed in life.
As always, this was wonderful to participate in, thank you!
