With fall semester starting soon for a lot and having already started for others I thought I would share this post.
I asked on one of my posts last week what type of posts you guys wanted to read and quite a few said about mental health and some said about university so I decided to write a kind of two in one post!
University can be stressful and overwhelming for a lot of people and if you have mental health problems it can be that way even more so. Here are some ways to make sure your mental health doesn’t suffer while you’re in university.
- Take care of your body- make sure you’re sleeping on time, eating right and getting some exercise. It may seem like time consuming or a waste of time but these are actually really important to your mental health. Not eating well and a lack of sleep and exercise can really mess up your brain chemicals and make your mental health problems worse.

Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month I thought I would spend this week sharing different types of posts that are about mental health awareness. For more posts on mental health click here.
Just be there- Sometimes you just need someone to be there for you. Even though you may not understand what they are going through and even though you may not be able to do much to do to help it makes a huge difference just to be there for the person. Try to check up on them once in a while, invite them to things even if they decline and help them feel like they are a part of something.
